Good warning video mate. Like you said, that's 2 You Tube reports of that in a product from the same company. What a pain having to sieve through that lot before you can put it in.... I saw the reply to Wrighty from EA which didn't sound like they got the gist of his complaint. It will be interesting to hear what they reply to yourself? I'm glad I used the KK1000 in my bed.😉👍👍

Yeah I seen his video aswell and the pond bomb as an apology shocking as this is a potential killer and for a big company like EA it's not good enough they should put warning on the bags it this is common practice in the manufacturering process if swarf was found in people's food they would of been shutdown by now. Fish are ingesting water and this is dangerous hope you get a better responce then Terry did 👍👍👍
Hi Josh. I have mainly used Hel-X as my media of choice. German engineering! K1, K1micro and K+ are all very widely used media. Supplied with all the new Nexus filters.

I Found Nothing in mine and I had a 50ltr Bag. I 🤔 it's just a manufacture issue but definitely needs sorting specially at those prices and the corse of effect if koi digest or fin wrap and so forth. But your taking it to the levels of good compo 😉 (far play) Expensive Hobby Koi keeping
I think this is something that has been an issue for a long time. I had loads of bit of plastic floating round when I first set my eazy pod and moving bed with k1 up. So it's been an issue since before the k+ Im not sure how much of an issue it really is, koi would be unlikely to eat it and one pass round the filters and it's gone. For the money it shouldn't have it in, and like you say, hel x definitely dosnt have it
I'm not sure what is best tbh. Wrighty did it by hand but didn't clear it all. You could of course contact EA customer services and complain. A compressor might work to blow out the plastic swarf. Good luck.
Hi Rex. I had hoped that EA had sorted this problem out. Anyone with plastic swarf in their media should contact EA and ask for it to be replaced. However you have made good use of your missus. Why keep them chained to the kitchen sink when they can do so much more..!!! :)
Think you will find due to the clear water which we all keep and with the compition for food within the pond I tend to disagree with you buddy think they will digest make them self's ill
Unfortunately it might enter their bodies without them actually eating it. It is so fine and some of the threads are tiny. I just don't want to risk it with my fish. Thanks for your comment.

Yeah I saw it on Terry's channel too. It's then that I thought "I had better open that bag of K+ I've bought and check it". And you know the rest!
I think this is quite serious and needs to be sorted, wouldn't buy this media at present.

i bought recently k1 micro and its full of swarls! how should i clean it out? compresor and blow it out?

I’ve just bought k+ for my new Draco medius drum and then I watched this 😩 think I will pay my daughter to sieve the bits out.

Plastic has been found in fish in the ocean, they must think it’s some sort of food. Unfortunately for the fish plastic has no nutritional value.😩😢
