Hey Braden, another great video, thanks. Hate to tell you, but we need YOU to do several long & detailed install videos for a system with GridBoss/FlexBoss and indoor wall mount 48v battery 🙂.
It seems silly to include all of these breakers with the Gridboss. Why not ship it without breakers to make it cheaper? Then buy the breakers you need for your install. In our install we are going to use a 12KPV which means we have to buy a 50A breaker. And we don't intend to use the smart ports. Which is frustrating because the Smartport breakers are the same as the breakers used for the hybrid inverter inputs. But a 50A breaker isn't included in the Smartports
Do you recommend getting a lumen box with the grid boss to add smart monitoring and custom load shedding rules to other critical loads beyond the 4 smart loads directly connected to the grid boss?
On the website can it include a list of everything that comes with the GridBoss? I see it says the GridBoss supports 125Amp AC Coupled solar but based on your video that breaker isn't included?
A packing list that details all of the items included with the GridBOSS can be found in the manual on the product page here: eg4electronics.com/categories/inverters/eg4-gridboss/
@@bgpnu depends on what OP means when he says "work with"... 27:45 in the same video dude says works with enphase, etc. Is it going to be tightly integrated with other mfgs, definitely no.
The hybrid inverter slot is currently reserved for EG4's FlexBOSS21, 12kPV and 18kPV, but you can AC Couple UL1741 Grid-tie inverters into the smart ports for additional power generation.
There's very likely going to be a sale at one or more of our certified distributors, which I'd recommend checking out here: eg4electronics.com/distributors/
@@eg4electronics Thank you. Would be great if there's a solution for larger service sizes. Many homes, especially as all-electric homes become more normal, have service levels over 200A.
I'd recommend contacting our certified distributors to learn more about purchasing and shipping inquiries. Check them out on this list: eg4electronics.com/distributors/
Currently, the three hybrid inverters that are compatible are the FlexBOSS21, 12kPV, and 18kPV for backing up loads via the hybrid inverter port. If AC Coupling on the smart ports, you can use any popular UL1741 rated grid-tie inverter for additional solar input.

I don't see this link in the description

Apologies, I didn't add it in immediately, but it should be there now!

does it work with any hybrid inverter
yes
No. See 28:10 mark in the signature solar TH-cam video where the eg4 ceo says it is only compatible with EG4 inverters

Can you use this with service greater than 200A?
Agree -- I have the same question -- Hoping there's some way to connect to two 200-amp panels, even if a second gridboss is needed for this.
The Service Entrance Rating is up to 200A currently. There may be future certifications that expand this number.
wire up a sub panel with multiple 200A breakers.... and run multiple independent systems
