  • This issue still isn't sorted to my satisfaction. I'm told from several angles there is no issue but I disagree. Time will show the actual truth.

    awesome I luv ur critical on its performance specifically " i cant believe people tell they cant blow its tail out"

      I can see some pilots flying in a way that doesn't allow it to be shown as can I if I baby the collective more than when I fly a K110 or only fly nose first. I can't understand my returned one explained away as good or OMP not being aware of it if it at all in their testing and production unless it simply wasn't robustly tested. Even then, why can this micro flyer find it and repeat it in 1 flight with both helis if they can't? I run out of superlatives just trying to explain that.

      @@MicroRCFiend yeah i can totally imagine. I hope there is a fix otherwise this bird is a total waste of time.

    Whow what great flying.

    One way spinning tail motor can provide only one way torque compensation. But 3D heli needs two way anti torque compensation (in some instances of the flight the main rotor wants to spin the motor, that is the torque that can't be compensated with only one way spinning fixed pitch tail rotor). I have two OMP 2 helis, two E160, and an XK K110. The tail stability of the XK K110 is better than the E160.

      I agree with everything you said apart from I'd swap out 'need' with 'would be optimal' regarding one way motor tails. Regarding the K110, i'm right with you, only the K120 has abetter tail in my experience with motor tail micro helis but that heli has several other flaws.
      Have you read about Heliflight3D? They are using the main motor torque with pulses to up the rpm to combat the inherent tail issues you describe above and it's seems to be extremely effective.
      Regrading your M2's, are they both V2 or one of each? Do you notice any difference in tail performance between the two?
      I will ad I use the term 'blow' for a tail that does not do as it it told. The M2V2 doesn't actually blow in the traditional sense of not having enough power like it is possible with the K110 or K130 when past it's physical limits, it's pushes the other way so is bad programming rather than physical limits.

      @@MicroRCFiend Both of them are the Explore models, I am afraid of pushing them to much as I am not sure if I would be able to recover from the unexpected tail ''blow'' out - when it happened on my E160 I wasn't! I have to set up auto-recover switch on my Radiomaster TX16S before I do more aggressive 3D flying ... Yes, Heliflight3D's way off approaching this issue seems like a perfect solution. In my view that is the only real thing the M2 is missing from being a perfect micro heli.
      The tail on my two M2 Explore helis is solid, except when I fly like I would try to make an autorotation type of descend - that is when the main rotor wants to spin the main motor - there is simply no torque compensation for this. So I am really hoping that the solution like Heliflight3D, will be implemented soon in all of the micro helis as stock.

    I think you are asking for large, high-end helicopter perfection from a micro with a motor driven tail. I have never flown a micro that was perfect.

    • @MicroRCFiend
      @MicroRCFiend  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. Early version V2 are blatantly flawed in a way v1 was close to perfect. They updated the ESC from V03 to V04 and also updated the FC and added 'tally' for tail control. Latest versions are absolutely not what is shown in this video. Good news is, the UK seller here can flash both for free.

      Do you have e160? I read many people also having tail issues there too. Seems expensive heli with no adjustment, I am not compelled to buy it.

      Most micros will have no problem if not flying in reverse.

      @@MicroRCFiend People managed to solve the tail issue of e160 by replacing the main bearings with Japanese bearings or cleaning with some kind of chemicals, i saw it from one of the Taiwan seller.
