Hey everyone! I can see many of you are upset about the incomplete Moroccan map. The editor chose the first flag that was shown to him, as he wasn't aware of the dispute in the region. While it's impossible to make the change once the video is out, I did blur the flag so there is no issue on anyone's end. And no, we didn't do it on purpose. There is no reason for us to hate on Morocco especially if we took the time to make a video representing it. Hope you enjoy the video!

Morocco is just amazing : the history, the food, the traditions, the hospitality, the architecture, the diversity... You can find mountains, beaches, snow lands, forests, rivers, desert... And the weather is generally temprate along the year on coast cities. I love Morocco and proud to be Moroccan 🇲🇦

I’m brazilian and 9% of my dna comes from the maghreb mainly from algeria, tunisia and morocco and even though a lot of brazilians have it in a high % than me, i still feel proud of it :)
When I was studying in London there was a guy in my class I was like there’s no way he is not Algerian it wasn’t just physical his attitude and everything then I asked him and he turned out to be Brazilian lol Ps Brazilian are the coolest people I ever met in my life

As an Algerian the number of times that I've had to explain to people in Europe (where I live) that all of our region (From Morocco to Egypt) are not middle easterners is just getting ridiculous honestly, we have our own identity, our own culture which is similar in some aspects yet different at the same time, even our own dialect (especially Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, we pretty much speak the same language and are very similar culture wise and ethnically too). Divide and conquer is more effective in powerful countries (no offense to Morocco). Look at Japan for example, despite its economy and technology (which are stagnant since the Plaza Accord) it is a weak and irrelevant colony without even an army or its own opinion. Definitely not because my mom is Moroccan but objectively Morocco is just extraordinary. We have all types of landscapes, one of the best cuisine in the world, warm and welcoming people, we have the Atlantic Ocean + the Mediterranean Sea, our culture is so diverse, our native people called Berbères speak their own language and have their own traditions too, it’s just such a well-rounded country overall. The Egyptian girl looks very energetic and full of joy. I really like her. And I have to say that the Morrocan and Sudanese guys are very attractive and they sound cool and chill. Personally as a Brazilian I'm familiar with many stuff in this video because I'm sure that most of us have the same genetics. 2:04 I remember walking with my mom in Red Square during the World Cup in Moscow and we would spot 5 to 6 Algerian flags each time, obviously I had to take a photo with them cause I was seriously not expecting seeing my flag in the crowd but it was a really heart warming moment! The funniest thing were my friends would send me pics that they took outside and in the tiniest corner you could see someone holding up our flag in the back and they’d message me saying “WHY ARE YOU GUYS EVERYWHERE” it was hilarious. 2:34 That AND everything. there. is. spicy. My family and I went to Tunisia for a holiday trip and don’t get me wrong I love spicy food but at that time I wasn’t really into it so my parents would order me “non-spicy” dishes. Already started and the moroccans said something wrong 😭 They don't understand our dialect because it is mainly a mix of Arabic and tamazight and then we have spanish or French words being used and put into the mix as well. Our pronunciation also differs. That's why it's hard to understand, it's not arabic, it's a mix of a whole lotta things.

As a Mexican-American, I feel like I’m seeing my family members talk about something. Many of the speakers look like they are from Latin America. I feel like at any point they could begin speaking Spanish.
Well it's because at some point Algeria Morocco libya Tunisia used to be one kingdom at some point and when they were they colonized Spain and Portugal for centuries So that's why sometimes Latino look like North African cause we have a lot of DNA in common :)
Many Moroccans actually do speak Spanish due to the close proximity with Spain. This is also the reason why a lot of Moroccans went to the Americas during colonisation and blent in with the Christian Spanish population. That's why some people in Latin-America have some North-African dna.

Everybody is talking about the map but im surprised that nobody in this whole video mentioned Amazighs/Berbers in this video. Most North Africans are connected by the blood under the Amazigh ethnicity. This video should have been a great chance to be able to introduce that part of North African culture to the world. I dont really think its the creators fault though and more so that these people in the video should know their heritage and how protecting that culture from dying is important.

As a non-North African, I’m always surprised by how forgotten Mauritania is from any discussion of North Africa lol. I feel bad for any Mauritanians that feel neglected. They’ll often include Egypt and Sudan, even when their culture is more “Middle Eastern,” and forget about Mauritania, which is distinct but still more North African.

While it's impossible to make the change once the video is out, I did blur the flag so there is no issue on anyone's end. And no, we didn't do it on purpose. As an Algerian the number of times that I've had to explain to people in Europe (where I live) that all of our region (From Morocco to Egypt) are not middle easterners is just getting ridiculous honestly, we have our own identity, our own culture which is similar in some aspects yet different at the same time, even our own dialect (especially Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, we pretty much speak the same language and are very similar culture wise and ethnically too).

We have all types of landscapes, one of the best cuisine in the world, warm and welcoming people, we have the Atlantic Ocean + the Mediterranean Sea, our culture is so diverse, our native people called Berbères speak their own language and have their own traditions too, it’s just such a well-rounded country overall. 2:04 I remember walking with my mom in Red Square during the World Cup in Moscow and we would spot 5 to 6 Algerian flags each time, obviously I had to take a photo with them cause I was seriously not expecting seeing my flag in the crowd but it was a really heart warming moment! The funniest thing were my friends would send me pics that they took outside and in the tiniest corner you could see someone holding up our flag in the back and they’d message me saying “WHY ARE YOU GUYS EVERYWHERE” it was hilarious.

My family and I went to Tunisia for a holiday trip and don’t get me wrong I love spicy food but at that time I wasn’t really into it so my parents would order me “non-spicy” dishes. Already started and the moroccans said something wrong 😭 They don't understand our dialect because it is mainly a mix of Arabic and tamazight and then we have spanish or French words being used and put into the mix as well. Our pronunciation also differs. That's why it's hard to understand, it's not arabic, it's a mix of a whole lotta things.

As a Mexican-American, I feel like I’m seeing my family members talk about something. Many of the speakers look like they are from Latin America. I feel like at any point they could begin speaking Spanish.
Well it's because at some point Algeria Morocco libya Tunisia used to be one kingdom at some point and when they were they colonized Spain and Portugal for centuries
So that's why sometimes Latino look like North African cause we have a lot of DNA in common :)
Many Moroccans actually do speak Spanish due to the close proximity with Spain. This is also the reason why a lot of Moroccans went to the Americas during colonisation and blent in with the Christian Spanish population. That's why some people in Latin-America have some North-African dna.

Everybody is talking about the map but im surprised that nobody in this whole video mentioned Amazighs/Berbers in this video. Most North Africans are connected by the blood under the Amazigh ethnicity.
This video should have been a great chance to be able to introduce that part of North African culture to the world.

As a non-North African, I’m always surprised by how forgotten Mauritania is from any discussion of North Africa lol. I feel bad for any Mauritanians that feel neglected. They’ll often include Egypt and Sudan, even when their culture is more “Middle Eastern,” and forget about Mauritania, which is distinct but still more North African.
