  • Notable FEATURES OF PROJECT
Length = 27.12 KM (Cut and Cover Section = 1.72 KM; Elevated = 25.4 KM)
Elevated Viaduct = U Shape Girders
    Stations = 26 (Elevated = 24; Underground= 2)
    Rolling Stock = 27 Train sets ( 5 Cars /train set=135)
Depot at Dera Gujran (Operation Control Center, workshops with the overhauling facility, training center, parking facility)
Stabling Yard at Ali Town (Washing facility, minor repair facility, parking facility)
Travelers from the Orange Line will have the option to utilize Anarkali Station to move to the Lahore Metrobus stop at MAO College.
Leaving Lakshmi Chowk, the line ventures southwest along McLeod Road, and dives into the 1.15 km underground bit that prompts the principal underground station in the framework, the Central Station. Focal Station is situated at the crossing point of The Mall and McLeod Road, before Lahore's General Post Office (GPO) and the Lahore High Court. From Central Station, the line proceeds from McLeod Road and goes under Allah Baksh Road before turning south where the subsequent underground station, Anarkali, is found. Associations from the Orange Line to the Lahore Metrobus will be accessible through an underground walkway. From Anarkali Station, the course proceeds under Jain Mandir and Lytton Road.
Hold on Trip is tied in with uncovering the genuine image of Pakistani landscape from the profundities of Arabian Sea to its most noteworthy vintage focuses like Karakoram Mountain Range, from rich green valleys of Kashmir to the tremendous wild of Thar, from Golden Sand Beaches of Gawadar to Hooper icy mass of Hunza, from Mud Volcanoes of Lasbela to Suspension Bridges of Northern territories, from the most provoking Fairy Meadows Track to world's second most elevated level Deosai, from the relics of Indus Civilization to the super metropolitan urban communities.
The Orange Line will incorporate associations with the noteworthy Lahore Railway Station.
From Chauburji the line proceeds with 4.5 km towards the southwest, along the middle of Multan Road. Raised stations are situated at Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad, Bund Road, Salahuddin Road, and Shahnoor. From Shahnoor, the line shifts from Multan Road's middle and goes along the street's southern/eastern side with a stop at Sabzazar Station. The line proceeds with Multan Road's edge until Awan Road Station, after which it returns to Multan Road's middle. Leaving Awan Road Station, the line keeps on voyaging southwest along Multan Road until it arrives at Wahdat Station, which lies 2.85 km toward the southwest of Sabzazar Station. The line 5.2 kilometers along Multan and Raiwind Roads, with stops at Hanjarwal Station, Canal View, Thokar Niaz Baig, before ending at Ali Town
Orange Line is a mechanized fast travel framework in Lahore, Pakistan. The line is Pakistan's first metro train since the Karachi Circular Railway which had shut its tasks during 1999. The Orange line is the first of the three proposed rail lines proposed for the Lahore Metro. The line traverses 27.1 km (16.8 mi) with 25.4 km (15.8 mi) raised and 1.72 km (1.1 mi) underground. The line is served by 26 stations and is relied upon to deal with 250,000 traveler every day. It is an aspect of the more extensive CPEC China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Orange line is being financed by both the Government of Pakistan, and Government of China.
From Orange Line's northeastern end at Dera Gujjran, the track is raised and runs in the middle of the GT Road until Shalimar Station. From Dera Gujjran Station in upper east Lahore, the course voyages 5.5 kilometers toward the west with stations at Islam Park, Salamatpura, Mahmood Booti, Pakistan Mint, and Shalimar Gardens. The track doesn't run in the GT Road's middle close to Shalimar Station - it rather turns and goes along the southern edge of the GT Road so as to sidestep the nursery so as to forestall harm to develop trees there.[47] Traveling west from Shalimar Station, the track re-visitations of the middle of GT Road, with stops at Baghbanpura, University of Engineering and Technology, and Sultanpura. From Sultanpura, the line at that point travel towards Lahore's focal Junction Railway Station. From that point, it ventures southwest along McLeod street towards Lakshmi Chowk Station. The absolute good ways from Sultanpura to Lakshmi Chowk is 2.5 km.[48]

Agree, not only no food and drink. some metro don’t allow crewing gum after entering the ticket gate, thus keeping metro clean. Parents should educate children and they grow up with good habit. There is a yellow line in the middle of escalator, it is for people to stand on one side and passing on the other side, another common metro etiquette.

Congrats to the citizens of Lahore. This mass transit system is very much needed for a big city like Lahore. Wish more good things are added to the city for the benefits of its people. The commuters should maintain decorum and travel etiquette and keep the Metro clean. We in India are already enjoying these mass transit. This is a great project in collaboration with the Chinese government. God Bless You Friends.

I agree because most of the buildings views look horrible from inside the train when watching out the window. There are too many streets and all the buildings are tightly close together. It's just not clean like England. There is not enough space between the buildings. The bottom line at the moment is that people should be living happily and healthily.

this is great, especially for the kids, the traffic outside is chaos and dangerous...now they can ride in modern metro under all weather. for the people that think this is waste of money clearly have no concept in economics, supply side policy - infrastructure first, then you get the multiplier effect, and long term economic growth as a result. You wouldn't know the size of the welfare losses from all the traffic congestion, pollution and accidents until some serious economists do the math, but I know the cost is huge, and easily offset the cost of building the metro.

Don't compare...Every city with huge population should have metro and other transport systems

The city which really needs this thing is Karachi. But town size Lahore where hardly people go work (villagers) got it.
Lahore where you can walk through entire city bare feet no car needed and they have metro.
Lolzz I don't understand the Pakistani authorities logic. This is the reason Pakistan is like 200 years behind rest of the world.
That is why I'm proud American I can't survive in Pakistan.
