Opening, perfect balance. Listening again , very moving and Organ tone absolutely just perfect as a support to these wonderful singers .Conducted with such feeling.I love it. Gill
Moving and peaceful. This, at last, qualifies to be called sacred music. I thought this art was lost forever. Thank you, David, for writing this jewel. I can't wait to hear many more. And your compositions definitely deserve to be interpreted by such a fantastic choir!
Thank you for sharing this gloriously peaceful music, such a joy to watch and listen to, especially at this time. Thank you David Briggs for composing something really special.
I concur. Their diction just isn't up to scratch. Very difficult to hear the words of this beautiful piece. (And the conductor using a pencil as a baton seems very strange!)
@@jean-claudeperier1841 I believe it is customary for choral conductors to only use their hands, and orchestral conductors to us a baton. That's what I was taught 60 years ago! A pencil just seems to be a strange implement for a choral conductor to use, unless he's intending to use it to mark his copy in some way.

Beautiful and so moving and inspirational during this time in history.
Just wonderful. Trinity College Choir are superb in everything they sing.
Just Wonderful. Pure Solace!!
And such highly romantic sounds from that superbe baroque Metzler.
Gorgeous and inspiring. Bravissimo.
Wonderful.
Rich harmonies, glorious singing and sensitive accompaniment. Thank you for posting!

I love that he is conducting with a pencil while in rehearsal!
From all the You Tube clips I've seen, he uses a pencil to conduct during a performance, not only during rehearsal.
Text? The singing is--as always with Trinity--exquisite. The text, however--elusive.

@@mjd1949 Why ?? Many conductors use only their hands, so, why not a pencil ?
