Vince ignored E on every step of his career that's why he ended up so bad. E warned him that Medellin was a bad movie but he didn't listen. E also warned him not to make another movie with Walsh but he didn't listen. And E was the one who got him into a Scorcese movie at the end of this season. E was the best manager Vince could have.
What are you talking about? E told Vince to turn down Matterhorn to do Meddellin.. he didn’t want him to do aquaman, and if it wasn’t for Ari threatening to drop him as a client, he wouldn’t have made that movie.. rewatch the series guy, you clearly don’t remember anything
as a longtime fan of the show, i feel that this was the best AND most important scene of the series. up to this point, we have always and only seen vince as invincible. always being clutch for everyone, and having luck on his side. but this was the first time, the exact opposite happened. we see for the first time vince struggling and desperate, with his friends that pull through for him this time around. which just goes to show ... no man, no matter how great, can do it alone!
Lol Vince is such a spoiled little girl. He can never take responsibility for not taking his career seriously. It would have been cool to see him stay irrelevant for a whole additional season and then have a big comeback, humble him down a bit.
I was so looking forward to seeing a comeback era for the guys, during this episode. It would've been great if the next season had been more focused on that story arc, than just one episode.
That was the thing with this scene, Vince NEVER gets upset like that. He will about a girl he really loves, but not about money, or business. Vince's heart is just so goddamn big that watching it break is in itself very heartbreaking to watch
William McCormick That is an interesting analysis of Vince's character. And you're right, Vince constantly says that if the business doesn't work out, they can go back to Queens. He doesn't always make the best decisions, but he always does what he can to help people close to him. He takes care of his friends. That's what I really love about his character.
It's easy to be laid back and cool when life's on easy mode and you're on top of the world. It's when things go south that most people reveal their true character.
I am a huge fan of the series and I think Vince is a good dude. He is so loyal to his friends and while he seems full of himself at times, he really is not. I love the later seasons when we see deeper sides to Vince. We see many times in the series that Vince needed his brother and friends as much as they needed him. Brotherhood and loyalty.
It always seemed so weird that there are no cars parked on the whole block during their argument. If you go to that street in Woodside you can't even find a spot.
Adrien Grenier is so underrated he was awesome in this show, played the chill guy usually but when things hotted up he was perfect just like this scene and the downfall.
in case u havent noticed that was kind of the point...this series was a parody of themselves...he was supposed to play a charming mediocre actor...not all stars are that good
One of the most realistic scenes you will see... Vince was at an all time low and lost his confidence and E was doing his best but frustration led to this
nope, he was actually perfect for this role. Originally, they weren't going to even show the Vince character ever, so they really wanted a sort of blank slate that the show revolved around. He's gorgeous and it is entirely believable that he can be successful in Hollywood based on that and that people just really like him. The laid back, man-child vibe works for the character.
Okay I'm actually surprised by the amount of people who think adrian is a horrible actor...Dude does that mean my taste is shit if he was my fav actor/character?
I don't think he's horrible, I just don't think he's particularly good. Apparently neither does anyone else because outside of this series, (which most people look back at the way they do "Jersey Shore") he hasn't done anything meaningful. Mostly voiceover work, a side character in a hallmark show, a few "direct to DVD" films... The only remotely big thing he's done since the Entourage series was.... the Entourage movie, which was little more than a desperate cash grab trying to capitalize on the former success of the TV show. It was universally panned, ranked 90th out of 114 theatrical releases and has a 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
I think people are just being contrarians. Objectively, he was very good and effective as Vince throughout the series. For instance, his frustration and desperation are convincing in this particular scene.
@@TonyPerez816 I think a lot of that has to do with his lack of ambition, not talent. In real life, he's a hippie and family man and not really into cutthroat show business, which seems to be more of a day job to him. I think _Entourage_ lucked out having Grenier, because had he been more ambitious about his profession, they could have risked losing him to an actual movie career -- like so many TV actors have done upon landing a hit series. _Entourage_ was popular and an awards darling in hits heyday. Grenier could have capitalized on all this, especially after landing the plum role of Anne Hathaways' boyfriend in the smash hit _The Devil Wears Prada_ after Season 2... but he didn't.
people would know that if they watched even one interview with Grenier. He's the ultimate hipster that was literally on a beach in mexico before season 1 of entourage@@user-rh2io7gm1l
Pretty much a fluff show but had some substance... Eric did make a mistake picking Billy to direct Medellin since he had never done a big budget movie before.. Billy even admitted he was in over his head during the filming of the movie
Only time I hated Vince, if Vince trusted E, they could’ve had someone else edit Medallín and it would’ve been Oscar worthy…I believe E “there’s a good movie there”
Vince never understood that he was the one who who sucked at his job, not everyone else. He was obv straight trash like a Josh Hartnett or Taylor Lautner type who was hot for a minute then… not so much
He does start out pretty naive and full of himself on how tough he is opposite of Ari, but he grows to develop to be really professional as the series goes along. Every action he makes didn’t make the best result, but it was mostly out of mutual agreement with Vince to get Vince wanted. So I disagree.
I disagree. Vince basically blamed Eric for his career hits when he wouldn’t listen to him about Medellin. Eric told him it was bad, tried to get him to sell before Cannes but Vince stuck it out and his career diminished. Can’t blame Eric for that.
I remember how popular this crap was... What a crappy, douchey show. Remember how they featured Kanye West like he was cool? Or how many times they randomly show flashy cars? Back to Game of Thrones!
I remember I watched it recently and all I could see was just how demented Hollywood was portrayed. From what I see/mostly hear about the place, it just doesn't seem like its worth it, even with the millions of dollars, countless women(or men, depending on your preference). Just the backstabbing, mud slinging, egotistical bullshit. I'll be honest, apart of me would love it, but most of me would get sick of it real fast. They're out of touch with reality, living in their own world and its not healthy. Don't get me wrong, its a good show, but should probably be seen as a cautionary tale for those who want to "make it big."
Yeah and Game of Thrones is a shadow of what it once was, I dropped it 3 seasons ago because the quality dipped so much. Entourage was a story of brotherhood, with fantastic humour and razor sharp dialogue. Sure it was superficial a lot of the time, but that was a representation of where it was set; the most superficial place in the world, Hollywood.
FINALLY SOME EMOTIONAL ACTING FROM VINCE
His best acting is when he gets upset.
Medellin could have been good if Walsh didn’t direct it for him.
Except E also recommended Walsh in the first place too
He ignored Ari
Vince should’ve done Matterhorn lol
What are you talking about? E told Vince to turn down Matterhorn to do Meddellin.. he didn’t want him to do aquaman, and if it wasn’t for Ari threatening to drop him as a client, he wouldn’t have made that movie.. rewatch the series guy, you clearly don’t remember anything
Their bromance chemistry is off the charts
definitely one of the best scenes of the series.
Love Gus Van Sant as a director, but as an actor lol...

He gets his humble pie in season 7 to an extent.
sad part vince only sometime listen to E, and E got him a few moives that he wanted.
That one camera shot from :50 to 1:20 was pretty cool. That was like a movie.
Felt like the scene from the Dark Knight where the Joker has Rachel at knifepoint.
That was the thing with this scene, Vince NEVER gets upset like that. He will about a girl he really loves, but not about money, or business. Vince's heart is just so goddamn big that watching it break is in itself very heartbreaking to watch

William McCormick Thats why he threw a phone and got mad he didnt get the part then fired his friend this scene doesnt help yoyr case.
It's easy to be laid back and cool when life's on easy mode and you're on top of the world. It's when things go south that most people reveal their true character.
Vince is a fictional character
I am a huge fan of the series and I think Vince is a good dude. He is so loyal to his friends and while he seems full of himself at times, he really is not. I love the later seasons when we see deeper sides to Vince. We see many times in the series that Vince needed his brother and friends as much as they needed him. Brotherhood and loyalty.

The day Vince turned into his father. Finally you get a view of what Vince grew up around and found his way away from.
0:41 I love how supportive Drama was here
When the stone roses guitar drops at the end!!
Adrien Grenier is so underrated he was awesome in this show, played the chill guy usually but when things hotted up he was perfect just like this scene and the downfall.
Dude are u serious? The guy is horrible. Don't get me wrong he seems like a nice kid but he's the worst actor in this series.
in case u havent noticed that was kind of the point...this series was a parody of themselves...he was supposed to play a charming mediocre actor...not all stars are that good
I thought E was good in this scene
His being a famous actor while being in real life a bad actor was deliberate.
Worst actor
I thought Vince would buy his mom a better place with all that money he made
That house in queens is probably 1 million today
i loved seeing him break. rage is such a beautiful emotion
One of the most realistic scenes you will see... Vince was at an all time low and lost his confidence and E was doing his best but frustration led to this
That tank top inside Vince shirt keeps appearing and disappearing lol
He should have done Matterhorn
Ive never thought Adrian was a bad actor tbh. Am I the only one? (Referring only to this role)
nope, he was actually perfect for this role. Originally, they weren't going to even show the Vince character ever, so they really wanted a sort of blank slate that the show revolved around. hoholy fuck I never imagined Vin getting mad like that haha
Look at little E walking away.
in the first season yeah, but i think it was the 3rd where he told vince to do it.
E knew he didn’t get the job at 0:20
Well caught
The same block from Scrooged when Bill Murray goes back to his old home.
he didn't deserve him as a friend or manager.

Best season.
Definitely never though Adrian could pull this off. He's usually a horrible actor.
This was tough to watch....
In the words of #HenryHill from the classic Goodfellas "This is the bad time."
E is like Joe Pesci
Pretty much a fluff show but had some substance... Eric did make a mistake picking Billy to direct Medellin since he had never done a big budget movie before.. Billy even admitted he was in over his head during the filming of the movie
I always wonder how Medellin would have turned out if Hagis had directed Vince in it the way they originally intended in season 3.
@@omieg89 probably would have been better I imagine.. He had Vince gaining 50 lbs for the role though, wonder if he would have been for it lol
All of this couldve been avoided if he just did Matterhorn or Aquaman 2. Vince doesnt have the experience to pick and choose whatever roles he wants.
Vince is such a prima donna
School play acting by Adrian grenier
Vincent!!!!!
The show is very good
Looking for the next scene....
Only time I hated Vince, if Vince trusted E, they could’ve had someone else edit Medallín and it would’ve been Oscar worthy…I believe E “there’s a good movie there”
What season /episode is this ?
Season 5 Finale (Episode 12)
Vince never understood that he was the one who who sucked at his job, not everyone else. He was obv straight trash like a Josh Hartnett or Taylor Lautner type who was hot for a minute then… not so much
E was a terrible manager, let's be real.
not he wasn't. you obviously haven't watched the show

E got him Scorcese so no not terrible.
july 12th :)

i loved seeing this side of Vince. sucks because apart from this scene he's a really boring character/actor
Vince was a terrible actor.
Agreed..lol.
🎉 !¡!69!¡! 🎉
Man E was really overly dramatic here. Vince was bringing up pretty rational points.
I disagree. Vince basically blamed Eric for his career hits when he wouldn’t listen to him about Medellin. Eric told him it was bad, tried to get him to sell before Cannes but Vince stuck it out and his career diminished. Can’t blame Eric for that.
@@getitboy83 This 💯

And Piven has hair plugs

Jay S moron, great show
Jay S then why were you watching the video

I can see the brotherhood angle but at the same time, is it worth it? In that place?
