I think you could look to who else the Vikings could have grabbed over McCarthy and regrade the pick. Darnold is such a success I have to think improving around him would make that team even better.
agreed, the Vikings didn't need a QB, and they didn't need a LB, so their two 1st rounders were wasted for the 2024 season. Imagine if they had drafted Bowers or Brian Thomas on offense, and Quniyon Mitchell or Terrion Arnold on defense .... would have been even better this season
@@anb2456how are you going to say Minnesota didn’t need a QB when the only QBs they had were Sam Darnold who wasn’t supposed to be great, Nick Mullens, and Jaren Hall. It looks even better now because this QB class looks so horrible that if Darnold hadn’t broken out, and they didn’t grab McCarthy, they’d be fucked. If you think they didn’t need a QB going into last years draft you’re just plain stupid imma be honest. And as for Dallas Turner, “LB” is really a misleading title. He really is just a 4-3 end, which, once again was set to be a major need for the Vikings. They lost both of their edge rushers in free agency, and Greenard was set to be the #1 edge. Van Ginkel and Pat Jones II were definitely intended to be rotational guys. The vikings arguably took BPA and probably the best player on the board. Still both great picks, at the time, and in hindsight. To further elaborate on just the idiocy of your comment why would they take Brian Thomas when they had Addison, Jefferson, and Hockenson? Were they supposed to predict that Darrisaw would get injured? Take JC Latham? really😂they have a top 3 OT duo in the league. The only one that remotely makes some sense is taking Mitchell or another corner
realistically though at #10 overall who were they supposed to grab ahead of McCarthy? QB was a huge need for them, they had 2 elite recievers, an elite tight end, 2 elite offensive tackles…IOL and RB were not strengths in this class. They got arguably the best defensive player later so you can’t really point to that at #10. You get what i’m saying?
The got mcconkey I. The 2nd hart and still in the 5th and Joe alt in the 1st 4 rookies that started and ranked in the top 20 in pff ranking at there position. Chargers had best draft hands down
You got the Chargers all wrong. It's OK, you can't really know every team. If the Chargers didn't draft Alt and wanted to go for a receiver instead, forget Nabers, Brock Bowers would've been the best choice. I almost wish they had drafted Bowers instead of Alt. No complaints about Alt at all. But Bowers is a special player. It turned out OK though, because after Alt - a future All Pro - they got McConkey, who could also be a future All Pro, who is better than Nabers or Marvin Harrison Jr. The only rookie pass catchers with better numbers than McConkey are Bowers and Brian Thomas. McConkey should have been a first rnd pick. But with hindsight I'd pick Bowers ahead of any of the WRs in this draft class.
Don't get me wrong. Bowers is really good, but he isn't winning games for the Raiders. Alt is future proof for the Oline along with Slater. Bowers has far more Receptions than Ladd,104 vs 77 yet Ladd has nearly the same yards that he has but Ladd also has more Touchdowns 4TD vs 7TD and a higher average yard. The Chargers getting both Alt and Ladd has really worked out for them.
You literally explained why it was perfect you guys got Alt instead of MHJ, Nabers, or Bowers. You guys got a top 3 rookie receiver in the 2nd round while having a franchise RT
What part of an A grade don’t you understand. Only other points is he was more pro ready than others as expected and upside was always a question, nothing new.
lol I knew this goofy as-s guy was gonna give Maye a better grade then Caleb let’s be serious his season wasn’t better . Everyone had unreal expectations of the kid 20-6 with 3500 yards as a floor / rookie is above average
We are grading the pick more so than the player. Patriots getting Maye at 3 was and is best case scenario, A+. While the #1 pick underperformed and is being questioned, so it’s more of a debate. Grades are accurate.
It all starts in the trenches. The Lions took Sewell over a receiver and it worked out great. Same with the chargers, tho they need another receiver. The Bengals took Chase over Sewell and Burrow gets the hell beat out of him every week

@ Lmaooo wasn’t talking grade just analysis bc that’s what I’m here for. It sounds like it’s the reason why you didn’t give an A+ which I’m still not mad at bc it was the obvious pick at 6 with the Chargers opting for Alt
Strictly analysis though, not mad at the grade
Keon Coleman?
2nd rnd pick not first
BS upside argument.
The Latham vs Olu takes shows your clear bias towards your original draft grades. Be bettter bud
Latham was far better while playing much more. Olu struggled, then started to improve but got injured. Im not the biased one here..
@TheGOATHouse Fashanu was playing RT and G earlier in the year...once he got in at LT he was outstanding sans a few plays here and there.
@@TheGOATHouse no dude that’s not true you always hated Olu you trashed talked him every chance you got. Same thing with Verse pre draft always talked down on him but now try and go back and say “ it was the team fit I didn’t like” little guy it’s okay to own up to when your wrong no one is prefect at this as much as you think you are.
Drake bias i think leaked a little into this grade 😂 but overall i like the regrades 👍
MHJ should be a B+/A- imo he was very very good this season still the best WR rookie, numbers were down due to the situation not that player
Nabers >
Nabers better, MHJ struggles to get open on a consistent basis
Drake maye B+
O.k, I can truly see that you must be some keen to Drake May🙄SMFH 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Your grading scale us awful. I can't watch the rest of this video
Let’s get that classic goat house bias from his draft grades let’s goooooo!!!!!
Imagine if they had drafted Bowers or Brian Thomas on offense, and Quniyon Mitchell or Terrion Arnold on defense .... would have been even better this season
or maybe traded one of their first rounders to get JC Latham...
To further elaborate on just the idiocy of your comment
why would they take Brian Thomas when they had Addison, Jefferson, and Hockenson?
Were they supposed to predict that Darrisaw would get injured? Take JC Latham? really😂they have a top 3 OT duo in the league.
The only one that remotely makes some sense is taking Mitchell or another corner
realistically though at #10 overall who were they supposed to grab ahead of McCarthy? QB was a huge need for them, they had 2 elite recievers, an elite tight end, 2 elite offensive tackles…IOL and RB were not strengths in this class. They got arguably the best defensive player later so you can’t really point to that at #10. You get what i’m saying?
at the time I didn't know y they didn't take Mitchell lol
Needed CB so badly then at least Byron Murphy been having a good year for em
Penix is still a bad pick imo
The got mcconkey I. The 2nd hart and still in the 5th and Joe alt in the 1st 4 rookies that started and ranked in the top 20 in pff ranking at there position. Chargers had best draft hands down
this guy is a hater, please go away
@@ZoddGutsfacts
You literally explained why it was perfect you guys got Alt instead of MHJ, Nabers, or Bowers. You guys got a top 3 rookie receiver in the 2nd round while having a franchise RT
I know every team. Grades are accurate.
@TheGOATHouse not lions
Caleb had a great year considering what he lived through.
If that was a great year the Bears are really in trouble
@@marinasands4319look at the stats
I normally like your content, but damn. You really are just looking for a reason to hate Bo so your evaluation can be right. lol
What part of an A grade don’t you understand. Only other points is he was more pro ready than others as expected and upside was always a question, nothing new.
LADD MCCONKEY is the best Rookie WR in this draft obviously ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
lol I knew this goofy as-s guy was gonna give Maye a better grade then Caleb let’s be serious his season wasn’t better .
Caleb had a great year considering what he lived through.
Rome is D
Caleb trash
The only people that question whether it's better to take a great OT over a great WR are fools
Tell that to teams that took OL over Bowers lol
It all starts in the trenches. The Lions took Sewell over a receiver and it worked out great. Same with the chargers, tho they need another receiver. The Bengals took Chase over Sewell and Burrow gets the hell beat out of him every week
