    Cheers program well worth it. We just got back today from 4 day cruise. Took my in-laws who did not get the drink package. We were able to pass them drinks all day long. Now we won’t do it from of the bar staff but it was pretty easy. We hit our 15 drink limit everyday. Don’t regret it one bit.

    God tips thank you very much. I'm going in 5 days and paid for the package. I didn't want to count drinks and keep a tally in my head.

      Thanks! Q always got a Bahama Mama in the Main dining room for dinner, and her favorite was the Mango Magic from the Red Frog Pub on the Lido :) Here is the menu for the Red Frog

    Thank you so much for your explanation/honestly about the Cheers package. This has helped me make my decision. I think the Cheers package sounds convenient to not have to count and calculate drinks BUT I’m planning a 7 day cruise from Galveston for two of us and I just cannot wrap my head around spending $600+ on beverages. Plus many people that I’ve watched on YT end up calculating the drinks they had anyways and realize they only drank half of what they paid for. I’d rather put that extra money towards shopping/excursions. I think I’m going to go for the bottomless bubbles plan and only have alcoholic drinks on evenings with dinner or allow ourselves 2 alcoholic drinks per day (we’re not heavy alcohol drinkers) This way we’d only be spending roughly $20-$25 per person per day which is definitely better than the $51 per person per day.

      You can also get the Cruise Cash Bar, it's basically like a credit to your room that depletes as you use it. You can get that in the fun shops. Only thing with that is if you don't use it all you lose it at the end of your cruise.

    How tough is it to sneak a drink to another person? I'm going with family and some are getting the drink package and some are not, and I figured I'd be a good cousin and get someone a drink once or twice during the trip. Plus, it would help really make the drink package worth getting.

    • @jqtravels9630
      @jqtravels9630  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have cameras everywhere. Make sure you are not giving drinks to anyone under the drinking age. If you are not doing it constantly and not within minutes of getting drinks you could possibly get away with it.

    • @stykman22
      @stykman22 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jqtravels9630 no, everyone will be of drinking age. They can't really afford the package, so I thought I would throw them one on occasion, maybe once or twice a day. :)

    Did you feel obligated to leave a tip each time you got a drink, aside from the coffee location? Also, did the bartenders treat you differently if you did not leave that extra tip being that you already paid the 18% gratuity when you purchased the Cheers package? We bought it for our upcoming cruise in July and I'm trying to figure out if I really should tip every time we get a drink in order to get better service or not. thanks for any help.

    • @jqtravels9630
      @jqtravels9630  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn't feel obligated to tip extra with the cheers package. I preferred going to the Red Frog pub after trying other places. The drinks were better as well as the service so I did tip a few times over the 18%. I felt like they did remember me and it made a difference in the quality of the drink. Strike up a conversation if they are not busy it takes the monotony our of their job and they will definitely remember you.
