On 23 May 1991, Will Sinnott drowned while swimming off the coast of La Gomera. Colin Angus later said: "When it first happened, I was still reeling from the shock of Will's completely unexpected and tragic death, and I couldn't think about the Shamen at all, couldn't see how anything could continue. But as I came to terms with it and I realised that what the Shamen's about was positivity and that positivity is like the spirit of the music and positivity acknowledges the need for change."
Yeah...yeah it was. It so much was. There was plenty of posturing and posing, but at least it wasn't people trying to be part of something and never bloody getting anywhere.
as a university student living in 1991 then yeah, coming off the back of an already epic previous decade the 90's were shaping up very nicely in every way, shape and form and ultimately didn't disappoint.
Nearly 28 years old. Timeless. Puts all dance music to shame in 2019. I was there originally and throughout the 90’s to mid-2000’s. That was the end of quality trance/house/techno
That was the end of quality trance/house/techno .... surely you wain in jest. At 47 I can tell you that is far from the truth. Eastern Europe is on fire
@@TheJeremyKentBGross A good place to start is Electro Junkie on you tube, HOR Berlin, Amalee Lens, lolsnake, Cormac, Boris Brejcha... They still have real parties.

LOVED this song back 1991! SO SAD, too as shame member, Will Sinnot drowned while swimming off the coast of La Gomera, Tenerife while the group was filming this video.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS SONG!! - IT TAKES ME BACK TO MARCH 1997 WHEN ON A FIELD TRIP FOR MY UNIVERSITY COURSE IN ASTROPHYSICS - I LIVED FOR TEN DAYS ON TOP OF EL TEIDE AND IT WAS AND STILL IS MY MOST BEAUTIFUL MEMORY OF MY SAD FAILURE OF A LIFE. BUT I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE MEMORY OF EL TEIDE, TENERIFE, ISLE OF DOGS, AND THE BEST VIEW I HAVE EVER HAD AND EVER WILL HAVE OF THE MILKY WAY GALAXY - OUR COLLECTIVE GALACTIC HOME -- I MEAN TOTALLY FUCKING CLEAR NIGHT SKY LIKE I HAVE NEVER SEEN SINCE NOR EVER WILL PROBABLY AGAIN -- I LOVE YOU TENERIFE AND I LOVE THE SHAMEN AND LOVE YOU ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS..GOODNIGHT AND A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE FOR YOU ALL. XXXX.
this track reminds me a very bad moment of my life, living only for work in Milan. very lonely in my little room listening this and klf and other techno tracks. the energy and the beauty of this sound mean for me something that i never have lived but iwould really love to
I got to see them in Dallas, TX at the Lizard Lounge. OH MY...THEY SO ROCKED THIS CONCERT. I love my cassette. Back again because of some words from a facebook posting: Love, Sex Intelligence. WOW.
I love this song/remix so much. I like listening to this when playing the Streets of Rage games (and the original version seems to be in s.o.r.2) . I wish Sinnott were still here.
Still miss the music Will, hope you and wee Joe are havin a blast up ther !! Coatbridge and the Kirkshaws Kangaroos say on yer sel ya crazy diamond !!!
Mo percepcion es alterada en este Momento............ La energia del cosmos se adentra en mi a cada momento.........No tengo Miedo............Mi mente esta preparada para el cambio............. Me siento libre otra vez.......... Dios me dio el poder para........MOVER CUALQUIER MONTAÑA
All and any of the current electronic artists be it trance and tribal to big beat and even some of the ones mixing pop in now should thank artists like the Shamen, KLF and MARS for paving the road when electronic was still new
+Tracy Connor Except, Electronic wasn't new in the late Eighties & early Nineties. The Shamen, KLF and MARRS made some decent music, but they paved nothing for future artists.
+Tom Reynolds I agree, it was more the like of Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Gary Numan, Human League, Walter/Wendy Carlos and many others that really paved the way for electronic music.
i loved this so much such a catchy one, this tune reminded me of john street university in glasgow seven levels of pubs and clubs nelson mandella bar and reds being a couple with a massive dance floor on level seven had to put together some false I.D.was only seventeen then lol
This is so cool, friday night 7pm just before going out to Genesis, Back to the Future, Sunrise, all those rave days. I had flares, pink converse, and a kaftan. Mind you these guys went a bit pete tong when they bought out e's are good. How did I live to the age of 35 ?
I listen to this on my way to baseball games. Of course I get carted off on the field when I hit people with baseball bats and eat apples to restore my health. I haven't found a giant turkey in a barrel yet, nor have I have found an elevator under a pitcher's mound, but I will. Yes, I will. Mr. X promoted this song you know?
Absolutly, there last commercial album release was that hypno-something or rather.. (just a collection of last minute releases) its at home and i'm at a friends house at this moment otherwise i'd pull it out and grab the name for you...
still today this is the best techno house of all times ever...no chance for the others.......this is aeternal....like god....i have the remix in vynil...this same remix......wow.....how much will cost it today times ? unlimited i think...and is mine
I like the negative visuals and the song. If this is a vintage foreign or independent film (I doubt that it is, but it looks like it), I'd love to know the name. Thanks for the upload.
house, techno, rave. i dig music from those genres. i will listen to some of that type of music tonight with my new sony extra bass headphones. cheers and have a good one
These sounds, words and vibrations have healing powers 🙌
WORD of God. Straight from the New Testament.

1991 seemed like a fun year to be alive
Yeah...yeah it was. It so much was. There was plenty of posturing and posing, but at least it wasn't people trying to be part of something and never bloody getting anywhere.
It was of it's time....and we were full of hope.....
It was a transformational period in time like no other..
as a university student living in 1991 then yeah, coming off the back of an already epic previous decade the 90's were shaping up very nicely in every way, shape and form and ultimately didn't disappoint.
It was a good year and so was the year before. Summer 1990 in England was incredible.
My favourite version of this timeless classic. Hasn’t aged at all
Best version 🔥🔥🔥

My favourite track of all time
This was actually originally called Progen from the En-tact album. Absolute classic album and very hard to find now..
I danced to this song at the Wreck Room in Oklahoma City in the early nineties when I was just a teenager. I liked it then and like it now.
