I’ve listened to a few of your podcasts and I think it has a lot of anti-Catholicism posing as history. I wish it were more truthful and kind. 😢

@@AmberFaganello i work very hard to be accurate. I am not anti Catholic. I love the church, this books covers the time period before the Reformation, so all the men and women who loved and served God in this book were Catholic. However they came a time when the church became extremely corrupted and had to be fixed. In my next book, and in my podcast I talk about men of God who disagreed with the Reformation and felt the Catholic Church should be reformed from within. I cover the bad parts of the reformation. the episode "the worst church in history" talks about a non Catholic Church. In my episodes on Hudson Taylor I talk about how many churches that were not Catholic hurt other nations with a bad view of missions. I have many episodes showing the failings of non Catholic churches as countries picked sides in the Catholic vs protestant denomination and went to war over it. I try very hard to be honest and fair, showing the bad and the good of our church history so we can learn from those who came before us.
The book covers the story of Columbus, and his faith in God. He was catholic and I talk about how he had priest that came with him. The book also covers Ambrose, St. Augustine, St. Patrick, Charlemagne, all Catholics. In the stories of the crusades and the inquisitions I talk about the good intentions many in the church had, but also the Significant problems that arose from them.
