In short, Porsche makes it very difficult, intentionally or not, for buyers and collectors to purchase their limited production cars. That's why Tim doesn't have any in the collection, though he has had a few in the past.

I wonder what made carwow's channel special enough to give him an allocation. imo there just has to be a special enough relationship between the customer and the dealer. Funny thing is the Miata is front mid engine just like that Ferrari 812 lol. People always think its front engine but its front mid, as are a decent amount of others that manage to keep the block behind the front axle.

Of course I haven’t had the pleasure of driving either….that being said when the TDF came out, I was more blown away than the introduction of the 812 C….and I saw a 599 GTO on the road shortly after deliveries began and was underwhelmed

Its interesting what future holds for shmee in ferrari, he also mentioned about the credit he got for social media or ytb content to get position inside ferrari. Imo it will be quite a fun guessing for shmee to get allocation of special series ferrari in the future
The 812 Comp has a great spec! It's almost the same spec as my 2006 Smart Roadster. 😂 My car is also black with silver panels, wheels and orange interior so i love this spec. 😂

What I will say is this, if I were an executive at Ferrari, I’d make sure someone like Shmee got an allocation for a special model because that’s free publicity. In addition to that, the car would end up seeing some miles and being enjoyed rather than garage-kept

Not really. That is something that's pushed by US dealers to get u to buy more cars. A friend picked up an 812 Comp havin no history of buyin a V12 from Ferrari before. He was also allocated the 458 Speciale, 488 Pista without havin to buy the "standard" 458 or 488, let alone havin to buy the California, the Roma etc the way US dealerships push on their clients. The only standard Ferraris he's bought are the SF90 Assetto Fiorano n the 296 GTB.
@rahulsudhir666 you don't know what your talking about. It's not the US dealers decision or infact any dealer in the world. It's the factories decision and allocation according to what you have. I have 36 Ferrari's and I tell you I have more experience and know well how it works.

FYI to get an allocation for a 812 Comp Aperta you'll have to have 5 v12s in the garage, two of which are limited editions.
