Good video and clear advice. I fitted my bars this weekend using a combination of your vid and the Triumph instructions. I am a mechanical dunce but managed it. I am pleased with the result. Thanks

I may just be a bit paranoid but I put some blue loctite on every bolt/nut that I reinstall on my bikes. Solid, clear, and easy to understand video. Good job!

Great video. Clear to follow, well shot, good picture and sound. I have a motorcycle background not different to yours: bought my first bike 10 years ago, rode a little bit, crashed (twice), broke my hand and just let it all forgotten for a while. Fast forward 10 years and now I am waiting delivery of a Tiger 900 GT Pro. Chose it by its safety features and being an overall easy to ride, predictable motorcycle.
Keep up the excellent work on the videos. Cheers!

I was going to get these also...but I spoke with 5 riders who all warned me against it... the engine mounted bolts sheared off!.. no warranty buy anybody convered them and 4 out of the 5 were just vibration fatigue failures..not from drops, other than one very low speed drop. One was a "total loss" he said, cracked the engine case... So scary but...the more I research, the worse the situation is so...I guess, reluctantly I'm going to wait on any upper engine guards. Great video man. thanks.

Hi Lowside. I agree with a comment one of you other commenters said. You have a nice way of explaining what you are doing with just the right amount of humor and you are easy to follow. I look forward to watching more videos you post and have seen all of yours posted so far. Better get busy man if you want to earn some moola. Anyway, I enjoyed them all so far, so keep it up.

Hello, I have just bought a GT Pro which already has the lower and upper bars fitted, I want to remove them as actually, I think they are ugly, and I'm not sure about their cost effectiveness in the event of an accident, given the cost of the bars and fitting kit, because if you are making an insurance claim it doesn't make any difference if you claim for a few scratched parts or dented tank (as I painfully found out), also I've seen a YT video where an off-road spill ended up breaking the lower bar fixing lug on the engine casing ! Apparently there are bars on the market which do not use that engine casing fixing point. Anyway, at least I now know how they and fog lights are fitted (removed), so thank you. Cheers, Gordon

I see I'm not the only one who prefers the low contrast dark background mode for the TFT !! Much better looking and easier to read in all light conditions ! Are there any sources for factory Triumph parts aside from the dealers ?

Holy crap man, I installed the lower bars looking at a screenshot of your video, but the upper seem like a pain in the ass, I might just leave them in the box in the garage.

I manage to install the upper ones without taking the beak or anything off on Triumph 850. I just undid the two large bolts 3:26 and put the bracket in there. I also had two extra long bolts in the box, I have no idea what they are for, I think they are the same as the ones you're undoing at 3:26

The bolts behind the headlight you suggested leave one bolt in, you need to use the longer bolts supplied, otherwise good video easy to follow good camera work. Search Triumph instructions then search using the part numbers there you'll have written instructions and torque settings etc.

Hi Sir, I have the Tiger 900 and want to install the upper engine bars. What fog light brackets did you use? Where did you find them? I'm not finding them on the Triumph parts and accessories fog light relocation kit. Thanks for the great video!

Great video, thanks for sharing it. Quick question, do you think that upper central part where the bars are bolted to could really hold the pressure in an event of a light drop ? I'm debating with myself if this really is a good investment. Thanks.

it is not capable to survive even the smallest fall. I dropped my bike in a slow speed training session. fell because I ran out of speed. the subframe aluminium cast cracked. The bars were also uneven on right and left side after the tip over.
The OEM upper bars are really badly designed. Triumph since released a new version with a 3rd mount point but they still attach to the front sub-frame. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

The Triumph bars are absolutely awful and WILL fold after a very light drop and WILL damage the tank. Triumph advertises these bars as tank protection. Completely laughable. Check the forums and you’ll find numerous complaints.

@@jmiguelsv21b06154 Outback Motortek. Superior in every way to the Triumph bars. I installed their bars and skid plate and am very impressed. They protected the bike perfectly.
