I had Heed bars for a year now on my bike and after a while I fell while offloading. The bars themselves worked, however, the way they are mounted to the frame did not. The OEM bars have an extra bracket that mounts on top of the normal fairing bracket, these bars didn't. So the fairing and instrument cluster bracket is not designed to handle the motorcycle weight, nor a crash. So it broke and it's a fairly pricey piece. I would suggest crafting with some blacksmith a bracket to reinforce the mounting point. I personally am looking for a better set of crash bars, since these would need to be straightened either way.
Thank you for watching and commenting it’s allways personal experiences that give you a better insight to a product I’m sorry you had to crash to find the week points but thank you for sharing 🙏
@@bikerbuddy3166 No problem! Thank you for the comprehensive video. I hope Heed finds the flaw and corrects it in the future since they have good quality.
I once dropped a then brand new bike on my drive after picking it up from the dealer. Needless to say I had no crash protection. Take Heed to what this man says👍👍 Nice vid.
We no matter how much experience we have we have or will do it at some point I tend to drop Hayley’s and that is definitely more painful than dropping your own ☝️as ever thx for the watching 🙏
The heed bars as very good and considering the price even better. My GS has them fitted and they are designed to be easily taken off so you can work on the bike. I also fitted some to an Africa twin and again the fitment was fantastic. Nice video.
Thank you for the video. Took your advice and selected Heed. A bit fiddly here and there for one pair of hands as you mentioned but your fitting instructions were spot on and hey presto, bars fitted.
The price difference is huge, it looks good, for the Triumph you do not neccessarily have to pay the premium. On the other hand, on my friend's DL650 the Heed crash bar developed crack at the welded joints...
They have done a 1000 miles so far they are all good but I will definitely 👍 let everyone know if I have a problem as ever thank you for watching and commenting most appreciated 🙏
I took a low side at about 50 km/s and the OEM bars bent and made a 2 cm wide dent in the tank. The light support also scratched the fairing in front of the tank. The OEM bars are so weak, I put them back in place by hand, using very little force.
I didn’t because there wasn’t any fitted as the don’t don’t come standard with the rally , but the brackets to do so are supplied with the heed crash bars , I’ve since bought a set of spots and used the brackets to fit them 👍 thx for watching and commenting 🙏
I have HEED bars on the Vstrom 650, they work the same way as yours protecting both the tank and the engine. My experience is that they are well designed, well built and that they do their job extremely well, although I didn't drop my bike in the garage....oh no I dropped it in a car park in front of nine other riders one of whom (you know who you are @Nightcrawler666) had a video camera running at the time. 😳
Yes I remember seeing that video god your crash bars save d the day , but definitely don’t feel embarrassed we have all done it at some point and if we haven’t yet we most definitely will lol 😂
Hi thanks for the video. I’ve just fitted these bars to my GT Pro and they’re great but I am struggling to fit the fog lights. The brackets supplied do not seem to fit either on the cross brace or under the beak. Any ideas. Thanks.
Firstly thank you for watching and commenting 🙏 the four L shape brackets that came with mine connect together to leave you with two brackets they then attached behind the two big nuts that attached the cross brace if you look on my airvest rucksack video I walk round the bike and comment on the spotlights I think that’s the only video I’ve got with spotlights in hope that helps 👍
Firstly thank you for watching and commenting, yes I had a the same problem what I found online was for the engine bolt 2021 - and it says that two of the bolts that goes into the engine should be tighten with 15Nm. That's very light torque So I did them to 20nm and they haven’t come loose I hope that helps 🙏
Excellent matey, these are on my shopping list, I have the crap Triumph bars on my Rally Pro, bike fell over once & the bar nearly hit the tank, not good at all from Triumph 😢
Ye unfortunately this was pointed out to triumph in development I no this because I was the development test rider that pointed it out and why I looked for a after market set and after looking at every review I could the heed came out on top and I’m definitely not disappointed , A big thank you for watching and commenting 👌🙏
I love the 900 it was the last bike I developed for triumph and I did more development miles than any other test rider (55,000) and the 900 fits me like a glove but as a owner I feel like I’ve owned 3 already and there’s just a little bit of love I’m missing from owning one ☝️ that want to go into garage and talk to her lol 😂 before I bought her I was torn between this and the scrambler 1200xe and I should have followed my heart ❤️ as I only did 5,000 miles in development and allways said I would revisit the scrambler at some point so I am 👌 If you go on buddy’s instagram you can message me there BUDDYTHEBIKERDOG
Unfortunately I can’t as I’ve just changed bikes , but the bars come with 4 brackets that you attach into2 brackets they then bolt to the bar at the front that attaches to both sides , if you look at my airbag rucksack video there is a walk round of tiger with spotlights attached hope that helps , thank you for watching this video 🙏

Thank you for watching I’m glad video was a help I did love the heed bars for quality and looks not to mention price 👌
With the additional weight, is it recommended to adjust the front shocks ?
@charleswink1213 I don’t think so and I never felt the need to do so
Thanks for the video! Greetings from Italy!

I’ve heard a lot of the same feedback and definitely not the triumph quality you expect ☝️thx for watching and commenting 🙏
Yep, I've got Heed bars on The MIghty Tracer, great bars at a great price!
I now feel cool 😎 knowing you have the same brand bars , 😎🤘 tux for watching and commenting 🙏❤️
Great video Lee 👍
Thanks 👍 and thank you for your continued support most appreciated 🙏
Look really good and half the cost 😊
Thx 🙏 for taking the time to watch and comment, I’m so glad I picked these crash bars 👌
Did you not reinstall your fog lamps with these bars?

@@bikerbuddy3166ah I hadn’t thought of using the 2 sets of brackets together I’ll have a look at that and see if I can get it too work. Many thanks.
No problem I scratched my head for ages and that’s what I came up with lol 👌👍
Great video! I ordered mine, but don't see anywhere what the torque specs are. What torque specs did you use. Appreciate it, thanks.

@bikerbuddy3166 thanks for the reply, definitely in the next few weeks these will be going on 👍😁
Well I’m not sure if you would be interested in this set I’ve just taken them off as I’m part ex the bike this week 👍
@bikerbuddy3166 oh right, do you not like the 900 RP ? How much are you looking for? Postage could be a bit pricey as I'm in the Scottish Borders 🤔

No the bracket for the spots came with the heed bars 👍
