1927 - loved the band as a kid in Australia 🇦🇺. Their top hit “If I Could” another great dong - first hit single and great film clip . A heart throb band , the girls loved I joined up after high school in the 1990s - and eventually served SAS with my USA marine / seal mates I volunteered , I wasn’t a compulsory hero . I joined the police upon my Hon / decorated discharge and joined the police As a cop, now 20 plus years , I was always more st risk and injured countless times . My retirement is near , my body has sustained a lot
Those jids playing war games was my boyhood childhood. Had to sign draft papers at the end of my last year at Hugh Scoll at 17.That guy reminds me of my Dad - ax WW11.
I'm so glad U heard that song how lucky. I am to be Australian and have 1927 as part of the soundtrack to my life in Australia people were forced to go to war if your name was called you went god I love that song should listen to more of them
Happy to say that I've seen this band live and it was excellent. Lead singer, Eric Weideman has excellent vocals. Thanks Dei for your request. Hope you are doing well. 🇦🇺
We've got great bands here. Try Split Enz, Crowded House, Cold Chisel, Australian Crawl, Mondo Rock, Little River Band, the Church, Hunters & Collectors, Mental as Anything
@AussieTVMusic Dei here. Just checked out your channel. Great stuff. I've got 2 live recordings you can have if you want. Just search Trojblu (named after the Icehouse song Trojan Blue), Hurt Me, and Midnight Oil. The second I caught in Canberra the day George Young passed. Couldn't get the freaking camera to focus at the start. You are free to re-upload both, or anything else you want from there (it's my personal music space.).
Thank you both. This band was and is one of the most underrated bands of the very late 80's to earliest 90's. Aussies son's, one and all.
1927 were a great band. Another of their songs Ïf I Could is one of my favourites
I got 1927s album for my 10th birthday in 1989. Absolutely love this song.
I had completely forgotten this song. Thank you Dei.

He lives in the Perth Hills now but as far as I can tell he's still touring at times, still as 1927. I've always loved him since I was a teen ❤
