I’ve read that Frost wrote the song about an autistic boy who was trying to get some lunch from a local store. Whilst the boy was waiting at the counter, no one was taking notice of him. I always felt that the lyrics were powerful, but knowing this story makes it more so, as I have a child with ASD. ❤
