  • In this video I demonstrate how to bake potatoes on a grill. I explain how to do it on any kind of grill charcoal, gas or pellet grill even smokers. I use an Argentinian made charcoal grill called the Ñuke Delta. But the process applies to BBC any grill. #Ñuke

      Pickles BBQ I said 203° actually the America’s Test Kitchen folks said 205° so ho with that. The ones I cooked in this video were little greater than the 205° that’s fine.

    • @BigLewBBQ

      Smokin’ Jazz Bbq Yes “oil not foil”. Or “fat not foil” Use a grease or oil. Left over bacon grease or olive oil or Crisco shortening, or corn oil or anything you want.

      GT’s Barbeque and Cuisine I said 203°F in the video. The ATK video said 205°F. I suppose I miss spoke. Any way you can tell when the probe slides in easy. Which is somewhere in that range. So you don’t need a thermometer a toothpick will tell you if it is ready.
      Mine were a little over in this video around 208° which is just fine min usually are a little over. However it is possible to over cook them.

    • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837
      @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol yea I know it’s perfect when the probe slides in properly but I usually just use my finger to see when it’s done Seriously this was a great share for me. Gracias mi hermano!

    Thanks for the Test Kitchen reminder. Saw it during the snowy winter. Just wondering if it makes any difference when you coated the potatoes with bacon fat before the cook. They coated only for the last 10 minutes at the end of the cook. Taters looked great.

    This sounds good, but 30 seconds in a salt Bath. And that's supposed to make a difference, come on. The only thing that's gonna make a difference is either your brisket fat. Or you're Bacon fat ...30 seconds in salt water is not gonna do nothing !

    • @BigLewBBQ
      @BigLewBBQ  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think that too, but that’s the way they do it on America’s Test Kitchen. I tried it both ways and the salt water may have a small effect. I don’t always do that anymore.
      Here’s the ATK video explain your “ 30 does second does nothing” hypothesis to them.
