I have to admit it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but practically speaking those robot vacuums are by far superior. Just turn it on and it does all the work by itself, leaving the person free to do other things, and when finished, it goes back to its rechargeable station. You just can't beat the convenience from a hands free operation.
I would love to have a vintage vacuum, I would probably vacuum twice a day if I did! I love this one, the color is perfect and the design too. And oh my gosh the kitties are so adorable!😍💕
So pretty! Love the color! 😍 It's probably the motor of the vaccum just being old 😢 You should be able to get it fixed pretty easily. I just hope they dont over price 😅
I think my favorite thing about your videos is your sign off. Very rarely do people go out of their way to tell someone they hope that they feel safe and loved. It always makes me tear up a little and want to give you a big hug!
I’ve never seen a vacuum with its own storage! I love that. There is never enough room in the closet and I don’t have a pantry. What a great idea…and doubles as seating! Fabulous!
It used to be common. My mother bought a Kirby in the mid 70s and it came in a box. She also had a blue box even into the 90s that was an old vacuum box her mother had from the 60s
Yes I’m thinking she’s right about it being a later production of an early model, including the carton with that style starburst. I have an original baumritter chair that lasted from the early 50’s to late 60’s and mine has the flathead screws that identify with early 50’s but nothing else was ever changed.
As a vacuum collector, this makes me so happy someone is using a vintage machine to clean daily! ALSO as a tip: this machine has a cloth hose which are notorious for leaking after many years. You can buy “plastic dip” which people will use in cars. You can spray this in the hose while it’s hanging up and it will coat the inside and stop these leaks. 😊
THAT'S my "Little Green Pig" vacuum! Bought it used and refurbished decades ago and it still works like a charm. You have a little jewel, Laci. ENJOY! 💖👏😊
We bought this vacuum new in the 1970s. We always called it the green pig. I love the custom box that is 100% not offered with the vacuum. Somebody really loved the vacuum a lot. Unless it was a salesman’s box
Tristar still makes that design. You may be able to purchase additional and brand new accessories including a floor polisher and power head. The ‘green pig’ would then become a beast! On a side note…you have a stunning set of teeth!
We had the exact same vacuum cleaner when I was a kid. My Dad named it the green pig. LOL Funny thing is we lived in Anaheim CA when I was growing up. That vacuum worked great. It seems like we got ours before 1968. I thought it was some time around the early to mid 60s.
I love the box. My mom who's turning 79 said her mom always had an upright... a Hoover. My only question is will you be able to find replacement bags for this? Also as a custodian, if you're not getting the suction you may want to check the motor, it may just need to be cleaned out.
I've had a late 30's or early 40's electrolux it was the bomb and it had a cloth bag. Also had a few mid to late 60's elctrolux's. I love that you you can reverse the flow. Only real complaint is they tend to hit the corners on your walls if your not vigilante with them.
Never miss one of your uploads Laci!! Love seeing you and Mr. Cash 🫶 Could you possibly do a tutorial for your hairstyle in this video please? 🙏 it is absolutely stunning. Love from California 😘❤️🫶
Omg! If a vacuum could be the cutest ever this one is the cutest vacuum ever!!! 😅 I don’t know if I could store it away! Don’t you dare put baby in a corner 😂😂❤❤ So glad you are back your aesthetic is wholesome in a crazy world! This old Mississippi girl sure does ‘ppreciate ya! 😂❤ 😁
You find the coolest stuff! The beauty of everyday items back in those days was so amazing. I love your content and it brightens my day to watch you. ❤
I found a 1953 model of the same vacuum. It looks the same. You are correct it came from an earlier model. I also found one from 1964. So your vintage vacuum is just a newer sister to a long family line. Enjoyed your video immensely. I grew up in the 1950's and 60's. Always fun to call up fond memories. Thanks for your continued dedication to the vintage community. You are loved. 💙
Love the cats. I have the same vacuum cleaner, its old but works great. I added a power electric head to mine. If you look at were the hose is there should be a place to plug a power electric head to it.
I am looking into sourcing these wonderful old units and putting modern motors and HEPA filter systems in them so we can have a very cool vintage aesthetic with modern power and convenience.
My Mother won one just like it on a TV quiz show in Australia in 1964. It was called Pinnock Compact in Salmon Pink they were manufactured locally at the factory in Adelaide South Australia.
I always loved watching your vlogs and missed you when you stopped. So good to see you again. That hoover was in amazing condition. 8 wonder if you might try with only one extension and see if it picks up any better, or swapping them over. All the best ❤❤
Nice find for your vintage home ! Great look and love the box. I use a vintage 1960s Electrolux for my everyday cleaner on everything but rugs. Had to replace that woven cloth hose with a plastic one for good suction, but I saved the old hose for history sake.
Hi lacy! Have you heard of the Lustron Home? The were pre manufactured homes starting in 1948, maybe 1950. Watch “House Made Like A Car”. I thought of you right away! Love your channel 💖
Amazing video! As always ❤ And wow, it was so amazing! I love the starburst so much and of course Mr Johnny Cash. And by the way, I absolutely adored your hair!!!! ❤
I had bought one on 1981 new for round $800.00 it had a power head. I had the one you have now. On the tail you can contect to hose to it, I used on my front porch to blow leaves off the porch. The plastic accessories are made out of bowling ball material. My brother use to sell compact vac. I cleaned houses for years and haves used many vac. To me compact is best. The motor last 4 ever. My Mom had an Electrolux canister vacuum in beige! I love your turquoise model! She bought hers in the 60’s! I hope you can have the vacuum repaired! Mom’s worked like a charm.
Hey Laci, where did you get those pink earrings from? I think i’ve send you these back in 2021 as a present 😃 Love the vacuum cleaner, what a beautiful color 🩵 Love you’re videos ❤️ Big hug from Belgium 😘
Super cool i have a super rare vacuum cleaner from Mercedes from 1949 and i use it sometimes because mij home is also in 1950s style i watch also television on a 1954 Philips tv al i love your video's greetings from the Netherlands
Someone made the storage ottoman box thing that looks like the atomic starburst Pyrex dish. I went and looked up the vaccuum because I want the box you got yours in. Normally, it was just in a cardboard box. :(
I once "inherited" an old vintage vacuum from my parents, and I wondered if it's any good... Well... the first test run, and it (unintentionally) gobbled up a pair of pantyhose off the floor within an blink of an eye and not showing any signs of choking 🤭 So yeah, I was pretty much convinced it still could handle its job 😅😂
Can you make a video about the TV at the beginning of your videos? Ever since I have started watching your videos I can't help wondering if it's a real TV or a decorative one.
Didn't you have a beautiful chrome Electrolux? I have a two tone yellow Hoover constellation vacume cleaner. Flotes on its own air and works absolutely wonderfully.
Hi Laci, love the vacuum cleaner. I would love to find a Hoover Constellation. They were around in the 50s and early 60s. My mother had one in the mustard colour.
Hi ! Your vac is adorable ! I have a vintage one as well, mine is the aqua blue electrolux. I love it ! I love vintage vac .. I have used a modern dyson at a friend's house and it worked nice, but typically I've found that vintage just works better .. they don't make em like they used to !
hello Laci love your videos, wow what a nice looking vacuum, I wish I could find something that pretty. My mom would love it too! Looking forward to your next video. Be safe
I was born in 65 and I remember my parents having that vacuum cleaner, same color too. Though ours did not have the large cleaning heads with colored covers. Also think they did not use the paper filter. Could have been designed in the 50s.and still been selling in the 60s.
Amazing vacuum! If you added vintage legs to that box it would make an awesome side table lol. Where is this rug from? Could you share a link if you have it? I love how it’s modern but a vintage feel!
I collect vintage vacuums, most of them being Electrolux and Kirby, most likely the rubber liner of the woven hose is breaking down and causing leaks. If you block the end of the hose and the motor doesn't strain or change tones then it most likely needs a new hose. If you want to keep it "period correct" you can get a new hose which most likley won't match for when you want to vacuum and keep the current hose for show. I do that with my Electroluxes. Great find.
We had a 1970's vacuum, it was the Avacodo green it was an upright one mom had it until Sears stopped selling the bags right around the early 90's she bought the last three packages which were 9 bags it was a great vacuum😊
I sold one exactly like that in the .md 90's called tri star with cyclonic action. Very expensive. Sold by in home demonstration. This one didn't have a beater brush likenew ones
In the late 50s and early 60s canister vacuum cleaners where not very efficient. But the fact that you have the economy set with all the attachments is so cool and in the original box. It's a keeper. I have a central vacuum system in my house and a Bissell upright. My wife and i find that the the central is great for the wood floors but garbage on the carpeted areas, the upright is great on the carpeted floors and firniture such as the couches and beds but is crap on the wood floors. Vacuum cleaners have there special areas of cleaning things. In my garage i have my industrial vacuum for wood shavings, metal shavings and water suction. I like your video and really enjoyed seeing that new/old vacuum cleaner. 👍🍻
Great little vacuum. I love all the vintage stuff as well. One thing for certain these vintage vacuums are much better quality and if cared for can go for a long time. Maybe you could pick yourself up a vintage Hoover upright from a thrift store and use that on your carpets. I know it would mean having two vacuums in the house. Just a thought. I love that you have your home done up with that vintage look. If you lived in my neighborhood I would give you a wringer washer for your Monday wash days. Keep up your great videos. f
Super cute! We have a Vintage Filter Queen that we use for all hard surfaces and Hardwood floors. We use a newer vacuum with a beater bar for all of our rugs. They make an attachment you can buy that has a small beater bar in it that works wonders for Animal hair on furniture! I was able to retrofit it for my filter queen. Ask your vacuum shop if they have something like that they could sell you.
this might sound a little weird but im a vacuum collector lol. some of the best upright vacuums came out of the 60s. specifically the hoover brand. they beat the carpets really well and thats the main advantage of them. this vacuums great i like how it comes with a storage box like an old electrolux. this vacuum was sold under multiple different brands but i havent seen one with a box yet lol. one of the most popular versions of this cleaner is known as the tristar
"Johnny Cash" That's a cute name for your cat And that's sweet of your cousin to give you that I love your sense of style, it's inspired me to be myself
Word of advice, those braided hoses are notorious for breaking down and leaking suction. If you want to use it to its full capacity as your daily driver, I would search for a replacement rubber hose
It probably is a newer version of a older model, you can tell the instructions are from the later 60s from the outfits the ladies are wearing, also the house decor is definitely more later 60s
You're a very pretty lady and look lovely in that era clothing. I really liked your style and the styles of those days gone bye. I enjoy your channel. God bless.
Hi there, I’m a vintage vacuum collector, what you have is a Model C-6, they’d came out in late ‘66. I see you’re missing some of the original attachments, if you’d like them, I’ll figure out a way to get them to you! eBay is overpriced by the way.
I really enjoy these videos! Also I love your look in this video! Your hair look so soft and relaxed! I always look forward to see what the next episode will cover!
What an incredible find, I absolutely love it and it's in amazing condition too. I have been binge watching your content, since I discovered your channel. Sending you love from New Zealand. 💗
Lacey I love your adorable outfit and shoes. Sooooo cute and your hair color is beautiful. I always look forward to your videos 🥰🥰🥰 hahahahha I love how you talk to the cats and it looks like they know what you are saying hahhahahaah
The prettiest vacuum I have ever seen. I wish everything we used in everyday life was ecstatically pleasing
Right?! I agree!
I might just vacuum more if I had one that cute.😊
I was just about to say something super similar 😅
Yaaasss!!!❤❤❤

Just turn it on and it does all the work by itself, leaving the person free to do other things, and when finished, it goes back to its rechargeable station. We had one of these, no box or extra parts though. Worked very well! Great suction. ❤
I would love to have a vintage vacuum, I would probably vacuum twice a day if I did! I love this one, the color is perfect and the design too. And oh my gosh the kitties are so adorable!😍💕
Haha yes!! It definitely makes it more fun to use. Haha thanks friend!!
We had that vacuum in our attic as a kid in the 70s.🙂 Tuned in from Ontario. 🇨🇦
My mom had that vacuum until she was 90 years old.
So pretty! Love the color! 😍 It's probably the motor of the vaccum just being old 😢 You should be able to get it fixed pretty easily. I just hope they dont over price 😅

He is the best helper 😊
I’ve never seen a vacuum with its own storage! I love that. There is never enough room in the closet and I don’t have a pantry. What a great idea…and doubles as seating! Fabulous!
Me either! It’s like a cute ottoman!
It used to be common. My mother bought a Kirby in the mid 70s and it came in a box.

Its a 1961 model. I am assuming owners manual is from a later one.
Core memory flashback! We had that vacuum! I was born in 1968.....
Haha that’s awesome!
As a vacuum collector, this makes me so happy someone is using a vintage machine to clean daily!

Love your "quality control inspectors " 😉
They still make that vacuum, it's a Tri Star now, 30 years ago they were 1100 dollars. I have one the same color.
Manufactures need to make these again, boxes are absolutely decorative and functional!! And should be made available everywhere!!
My folks had that vacuum! Connect the hose to the front and blow out anything clogging the hose.😊
Also great for blowing out fridge coils.
THAT'S my "Little Green Pig" vacuum! Bought it used and refurbished decades ago and it still works like a charm. You have a little jewel, Laci. ENJOY! 💖👏😊
That’s so funny I didn’t realize it had a nickname!
Hahaha! That's what we called ours! Many years of vacuuming the stairs with that. Great vacuum!
@@minnienoodle8552Just love ours!
So happy you're back, Laci!! 💝
Thanks me too!
Such a lovely vacuum. Nothing is lovelier than the 60's model. Better quality than those manufactured today.
We bought this vacuum new in the 1970s. We always called it the green pig. I love the custom box that is 100% not offered with the vacuum. Somebody really loved the vacuum a lot. Unless it was a salesman’s box

Johnny Cash testing the box. Such a cat thing to do 😂
My parents had one when I was little that was from my grandparents house. I used it and did have quite a bit of suction
Is it just me, or would everyone else be smelling the paper of the manual?
Hahaha oooo yes!

Wonderful video. You might want to check out a classic Kirby vacuum, and its bizarre Handi-Butler system.

I have a 50’s model. I love it. Way better suction than modern vacuums. Built better back then.

Those usually have tons of suction. The rubber inside of the hose may be cracked causing leaks.
To make sure your vacuum is the best, be sure to do the vacuum test. Take it to a shop they’ll know just what you’ll need to make it go!
Word of advice, those braided hoses are notorious for breaking down and leaking suction. If you want to use it to its full capacity as your daily driver, I would search for a replacement rubber hose

The packaging is grougous, the proud that was used back then compared to packaging now a days.
