    I love the color! My F150 is way older than yours….but I did my emblems a little over a year ago but they recently started chipping so I’m going to do some more to replace them.

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh dang sorry to hear that! Best thing to prevent that with these emblems is to scuff all the pieces to a nice dull finish and I like to spray adhesion promoter first, then self-etch primer, then sealer before applying the base coat to it all, just to be sure there's a good bond, hope he second time around is a better result!

    Just found your channel great work. Learned alot of little things that are going to help me with my 85 Bronco. One question though. When are you getting a Bullnose Bronco?

    Looks clean !!! What grit sand paper did you use ?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      you can use 600 grit or just a red scuff pad, I usually sand with 600 then go over it again with a red scuff pad to get all the edges and spots the sandpaper can't reach

    Looks good. Does the super glue hold up?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure does, once it's glued together and on the truck it can't go anywhere

    What happened to the prep portion of the video? I want to see the whole process.

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't film the prep portion because it was very quick, I just hand scuffed them with a red 3m scuff pad until they were a dull finish. Then I spray with adhesion promoter, self etch on the chrome, and then sealer, base coat, and clear

    For the third brake light and tail lights can you still see the brake lights well?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can see them just fine actually! The park lights are visible no problem and the brake lights are still nice and bright even in the daytime, I have another video I did on a silverado I show how visible the lights are through the paint if you want to check out

    is there any sort of disassembly on the taillights or did you just tape the clear parts off?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      No disassembly at all, I just masked off the clear spots and painted over the rest

  • @jessewallen1316
    @jessewallen1316 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you just sand the plastics and the paint and clear them? Or did you use any type of primer?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I scuff them up and put down adhesion promoter first, I don't use any primer I put color right over the red lens so it still shines through the paint

    How did they paint match the F150's tail lights?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AlbertSimonian-l3q I sanded them with 800 grit and scuffed them, masked then painted, same as tinting but with color

    do you have to take the entire inside of the door out in order to get to the side mirrors? Im looking to paint match them but i cant see any other way to get the mirrors off

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the year, this body style there's a corner piece at the top of the door panel that comes off seperately to gain access to the mirror nuts, but for the 09-14s you have to take the whole panel off

    Does the owner of this truck an Instagram or anything? Awesome truck! Simple yet clean!

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes he does! His Instagram is @dill_lovejoy11, the tail lights weren't too bad to do just have to sand/scuff them down and take the time to mask them off perfectly. I usually just do 2-3 coats of color, just enough for the red lens to be covered and thats enough, thanks for the love!

    what paint did you use?

  • @justjayjustjay5054
    @justjayjustjay5054 ปีที่แล้ว

    So i have a 2001 F150 Harley edition. Do you have any clue if the emblems are the same size? Or if the older emblem seperates like that? I'd like to either swap em out or color match the originals.

    Any problems with the light output of tailights?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are dim but he hasn't had any issues getting pulled over or anything. To help you can get LED bulbs, my dad put some in his tails I did for him and it helped a ton, no visibility issues at all

    Did you paint over the red brake lghts?

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I sprayed the paint and clear directly over the red lens on the tail lights, with doing 3 coats of color it is just enough to cover the red while also being able to see the brake and park lights through the paint. I have a tutorial video on a 2018 silverado I did as well, feel free to check it out!

    He did not show any of the emblem removal, paint prep, clearing or installation.....just took them apart and put them back together again. The only real detail is in how to super-glue two pieces of plastic together.

    • @HagersAcres
      @HagersAcres  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After sanding and wiping everything down with wax and grease remover, I spray adhesion promoter before anything, then I spray primer sealer, and then I spray the paint and clear
