    Best mileage to date is 63 mpg. Had mine since Sept 22. Great car, love it. Few niggles 1. Why are the rear windows not tinted as standard. 2. Why cannot lane departure be turned off and stay off. 3. Had the Honda Drive Recorder fitted. The rear camera view shows me being on the wrong side of the road. Needs a Firmware fix (I am in U.K.)

      63mpg is good! Yes lack of rear tinted windows was strange to me on a top of the range model, and the cost Honda charges is a lot!
      I could easily turn off the Lane Keep Assist, but you right the departure warning just comes on when it wants 😅
      Maybe the image is supposed to be inverted on the rear camera?
      I’m glad you are enjoying your HR-V, all cars have their weaknesses, but overall I did enjoy my time with it!

      We have just picked up are hrv automatic hybrid petrol basic model and the mpg doesn't seem great had 7 miles on clock with 180 miles in tank drove it over a few days put £30 in and said 380miles to next fill up went out on a drive out total about 120mile clock said total mileage 280 and we had to put in an extra £10 because we were down to last 3miles am I doing something wrong or is that bad mileage

    It's a week that I have the car (color Sangiovese red) and I love it! Great to drive, a lot of space and comforts all over! Low consumption and a great full hybrid system! I was a Volvo fan (I had 3), now I have become a Honda fan.

      I got one a year ago in Platinum White Pearl. Luckyly available after only one month. This Sand Khaki is awful (to my eyes) especially with cloudy sky. Afrika korps color...

    Great review, I’m currently considering this the HRV and also the ZRV and the Lexus LBX. I am surprised at the similarity in the ZRV and HRV they seem to compete for the same customers. I guess a test drive will help me decide.

    • @Carcode
      @Carcode  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks John! I couldn’t comment on the LBX as I’ve never reviewed one or even sat in one, however I’ve heard good things and they do look great. The ZR-V is for customers perhaps used to something slightly sportier or larger, the HR-V is better in towns and cities thanks to it’s higher economy and smaller size. The ZR-V certainly has much more grunt than the HR-V, but that will happily keep on on the motorway too. Definitely worth a test drive 👍🏻

      That’s really good! I’m guessing you do a lot of town driving? I live in the countryside, so there’s lots of hills and the EV mode doesn’t kick in as much as it would do in town. They are nice cars, I’m glad your enjoying it Eddie!

      Yes it’s really nice! You do have a lovely blue on the US model though. Your HR-V is what we are gonna call the ZR-V, it’s in between the size of this car and the CR-V.

    You guys are seriously ripped off in the pricing of these.I have one(Australia) In premium crystal red,all colours are a no cost option.Privacy glass is standard.Our version is equivalent to your Advance.Pricing?$47,000 drive away.(£25,000) Accessories are also a lot cheaper than what you pay.Servicing? $125 per year for 5 years.(£67)

    • @Carcode
      @Carcode  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It seems to be that all cars in the U.K. are more expensive, I’m not sure why! I checked other manufacturers too, the exact same Nissan Qashqai is $42,000 which is £22,000 and the U.K. model costs over £34,000 it’s crazy! The HR-V includes servicing on finance and isn’t crazily more expensive than your servicing prices, it’s good that you get such a good spec at a great price.
      I might have to research more into the differences in cost, because many U.K. spec cars are identical to the Aus variants! I had a little look at German models and saw that an identical spec BMW X1 is more expensive than the U.K. model.

    Some wordings and other bits reminding me Mat Watson style presentation. But I love it. For the voice can stand in front of the see and shout so the salty air can harden your voice a bit more.

    Well done Sam, another informative and entertaining video. Pity the Elegance only has a plastic steering wheel. The slightly smaller (?) Toyota Yaris Cross is much better value and the Excel version better equipped. 🙂

    • @Carcode

    Save your money they’re a crock of s###. I had one for 18 months, and nothing but problems with the batteries. In that time Honda replaced it twice, The AA were called out twice and in the end I had to keep a jump pack in the car. On 3 occasions it was parked at the airport the battery was flat when we returned from holiday. On one occasion I’d driven 175 miles, parked it on my drive and 2 days later it had a flat battery (can’t even open the doors).
    When trying accelerate all you get is loads of noise and very little response.
    At the very least if you’re thinking of buying one check out the HREV forums, and you’ll find lots of people having the same issues.
