Yes. Much as I like the anime, the manga moves much faster due to less padding and filler. My hope is that one day we get a Naruto remake that removes the padding and filler and gives us some meaningful changes like the ending or even some more time with team seven missions wise before Chunin exam.

Neji's death was tasteless. It should've been Hiashi istead. Hiashi dieing to protect his twin brother son, that died in his place, after seeing his daughter kick ass in the war, would ve been poetic.

Cutting out Asuma's last cigarette is something I will never forgive. That was a significant detailed that added a meaningful layer to his relation with Shikamaru.
All because minors on a fictional world cannot be showed smoking.

He got married. A goated moment and a happy moment for him. Most people didn't read the manga. And hinata and Naruto had plenty of moments in the show including filler. Heck we got the whole marriage buildup after movie in the show.

The Chunin Exams had two changes.
In the written exams, there are two dudes from the Moon Village. The anime omitted them.
In the Forest of Death, Team 10 leaves another team to die by blood loss from leeches. In the anime, that second team is from Amegakure; but in the manga they are from Konohagakure.

Maybe it's because I actually smoke myself but to me the difference between flicking the lighter to finish Hidan and the cigarette is the difference between Shikimaru showing him some respect (sacrificing what would be a keepsake of his teacher to destroy his enemy) and absolute disgust/disdain for the enemy. Flicking the cigarette at the enemy, essentially destroying him with a piece of trash, Shikamaru shows just how worthless he thinks Hidan is.

I tried many times to give the Naruto anime a try but it's pacing is so bad, it definitely has its moments where it's amazing, but those are better watched on youtube 😆
I even tried the Naruto kai version but I only got like 6 eps in or something. Still leagues better than the One Piece anime, but still eh.
I think you answered your own question. I love the anime but as you obviously don't, you don't need to watch it if you really don't like it. We are all fans here. We don't dislike you because you like the manga more than the anime. IMO there should be no gate keeping in fandome. Please don't worry so much about having to watch something that you don't like.

Yusuke Urameshi from Yuyu Hakusho was smoking in the manga. That got censored too in anime
Same with Jotaro in JJBA got cut in smoking on TV show version.

Part 1 was definitely adapted much better than Part 2. I can rewatch Part 1 and still really enjoy it, but I wouldn't rewatch Part 2 if my life depended on it.

its not uncommon in japan for young ladies to enjoy watching men being in love with eachother they find such a thing to be cute or very wholesome. and often admire it because its something that defies their cultural norms etc.
It took me a long time and a lot of search to realize that the Anime ending is missing the final chapter of the manga.

Sasuke is seen sat behind Naruto in the academy at the bottom of page 18 while they are waiting for the graduation exam, making Sasuke and Naruto the only characters from the Konoha 12 shown in chapter 1. Sasuke stands out in the panel as he has a heavy amount of shading but apart from that he is just a background character for chapter 1.

I think it's more, they don't want to read. I've heard that excuse so much it's kinda depressing, like they'd really rather deprive themselves of good narration, artwork, and just a better all around experience because they don't want to read. Beyond sad really.

In *chapter 21* of the manga during the Land of Waves arc, after Kakashi overused his Sharingan he exercises to regain energy, we can see him casually doing push-ups on one finger while Tazuna and Sakura are sitting on his back talking to him, why was it deleted?

To keep it shorter instead of my usual, my opinion on life is that even the worst artist can make good things like for instance one of the worst bands to me the backstreet boys has a song i like, or on subject wording, even the worst series can have good things about it or vis versa. As of right now, i feel theirs more bad than good in Boruto, but if it keeps at the pace it's on than we could redeem the horrible ending of naruto without having to rewrite the story though our pain will never fully subside. I went on a rant again 😅 but in short they got me for now because I got high hopes 🤷♂️

The most infamous example of this, which almost could be a video of its own, was the Kurama vs Pain fight. No 4-tailed fighting, no body of water being spawned, epic panels of things like 6-tailed Kurama's full reveal up-close, him repelling the Shinra Tensei, and the Bijuu-dama explosion from Sakura's perspective, and there were even a couple villagers noticing the Chibaku Tensei planetoid. Sure, most of these were changed rather than removed, but it's definitely worth talking about.
i have a question about medical ninja, why were the academy students not taught about it? the first time we see it is when kabuto heals hinata during naruto and nejis fight and the next arc we learn that tsunade made every ninja squad have a medical ninja so why didn't it get mentioned at least once at the academy?

What if in an alternate timeline, every manga/anime was a single 120-minute long issue/movie? With all important characters and events planned out ahead of time. With improved fast-paced storytelling. And with perfect endings? How'd these big hits been like from our altered memories and perspectives?
I quite enjoy your rewrite series, so I would like to suggest an idea for a video. How would you make a Naruto sequel?
I would set it far in the future, but without the technology nonsense of Boruto, with Naruto and Sasuke being old men, kind of like Hiruzen to explain why they can no longer take care of every single problem.
The main character would be an Uchiha, so basically one of Sasuke’s grandkids. The sensei of the new team would be Naruto’s daughter who basically looks like Naruto’s sexy jutsu with Byakugan, she’d essentially be the Kakashi of the story.
The threat level could safely be dialed back from godlike, but still carry more weight with a more mature framework, which is appropriate since the fans of the original series have also grown up. Maybe make it about threats from overseas or about how the strength of ninjas has been declining due to peaceful times and how maybe somebody is taking advantage of that and/or stirring up war due to some ideology about strength born of strife or something.
I think the topic would make for an interesting video.

The worst part of Naruto is that Kishimoto didn't think of a definitive direction and ending for the franchise, he just kept going the 'f*ck around and find out' way which although brought us many good moments and plots, but did more harm than good in terms of plot continuity and character development.
When you work in the weekly manga you barely has enough time to plan you have to met the deadline just look what happens to hidan arc that arc was supposed to be longer but the editor was rushing him to end because of time and he was in the hospital and he didn't have complete control remember kishimoto wanted to have more arc before the chunin exam like visiting each other village introduce each other team and more mission but they forced him to cut down and he wanted to kill neji and the others in the sasuke rescue arc but they forced him to keep them alive because they were popular characters just like guy and he was burn out after working for 15 years so he needs to rest so if you wanted to blame someone blame shonan they should treat mangaga better kishimoto said he had to cut a lot of things to meet the deadline

The anime team added, occasionally some good stuff and maybe some slight decent filler sometimes, but the end of the Naruto it was a complete tragedy. More fillers than we even needed with backstory from Sage of the Six Paths sons and stuff even when manga finished the stretched that part a lot and when they finished they did the arc adapting stuff from novels or whatever (that should be OVAs if you ask me) and robbed our chapter 700 even going past 700 episodes, just to give some time to prepare the tie-in for Boruto. Living that week by week was pure pain.

Scene #1: Naruto failed gennin graduation 3 times. It's a plot hole either way. Either everyone graduates and naruto keeps repeating with new students and his former classmates just watch paint dry until Naruto graduates and they can form the teams.
Or you can take the graduation exam every week and that's no big deal.

To be fair... the prime reason i stopped watching Naruto Shippuden was cause the filled put the war Arc with flash back filler that essentially ties all loose ends and spin off potential into scenes that roughly connected with them...
I thought the finale was alittle rushed in the Manga and though i didn't like the Kaguya ending i figured the anime would do it some more justice.

Regarding Shikamaru's smoking: In the American version of the manga volumes, this is removed as well, for the same reasons you mentioned as the anime. It strikes really weird and doesn't make a lot of sense at times, but yeah they tried to make it more like the anime without actually rewriting the scenes. It's the same thing as they did in DBZ with Android 17's gun when Trunks returns to the future, 17 clearly opens the holster, then holds an empty fist in front of the old man, then the sound effect of a gunshot is shown on the next panel, all while 17 is talking like he still has the gun in his hand, censorship is retarded
Addition: Yu Yu Hakusho did the same thing with its ending, but I'd argue they did a worse job there. The final arc had potential, with Yusuke learning about the source of his power and suddenly becoming the successor to one of the three kings, but I think Togashi dropped the ball by taking a sharp turn narratively to make it a tournament arc, then dropped the ball again by not following through and skipping over half of the tournament and not even showing the end, just telling us through a word bubble how the arc ended offscreen. And after that we get Yusuke's return after a timeskip that ended the anime and the final chapter was never included in the anime, so the whole "Genkai knew here end was near" thing never came full circle. Toguro doesn't count for that because he knew Genkai wasn't gonna stay dead after he killed her.

I just had an argument with a friend about Madara’s sharingan. So the question is when did he awaken his regular sharingan in manga and in the anime, and the same question is about his and Izuna’s mangekyo. I know about the scene with Hashirama, and this being the first time he awakens it but it doesn’t seem logical to me. I don’t know whether that anime scene is filler or not. Would love that question being explored and explained. Thank you

After Neji dies, Lee gets extremely upset, he opens 6 gates and speed blitz Madara by kicking him and cutting him in half.
Of course nothing happens to Madara because he just regenerates, but its still a cool scene...

the boruto takes are always just so distasteful, it does put up large numbers just because you dislike it doesn't mean it isn't successful. I feel like you are caught in the nostalgia of naruto which is fine but boruto was specifically designed to be very different to naruto and just having small callbacks to the anime
I started reading when the anime was in post Naruto vs Sasuke filler hell. Curious what I missed.
Boruto and the otsutsuki lore is the worst thing they did to the best life changing anime. It was a masterpiece. Naruto could become a Hokage at the end and we could get hyped for Boruto, we could have only canon episodes and instead of making the village suddenly gen z and modern, we could have the progress and details and the progress of Naruto becoming the Hokage he is now.
You should do a tier list ranking every character by power. Swagkage did it and his list sucked to be honest. I would love to see your takes.

Did one piece make two piece cause that would make sense and that picture you showed look like they actually pulled a baruto. I think it would be possible because manga is their source of income and imagine having to think of a new manga idea that is good as one piece.
