Debating between the Dobyns Kaden vs a St Croix rod. I already have the Dobyns Fury, which is an awesome rod! Not sure if the Kaden will be much different. Thoughts?
I'll be honest, I can fish any rod I want and still use the Kaden for crankbaits (735CB) and jerkbait/topwaters (KD610-4CB). I think the Dobyns Kaden line is one of THE best bang for the buck rod series their is. Plus you can save another 10% with GRAMPS10 at ALFC.

Did you put anything on your handle cork or is the coloration all from use? I just bought a Dobins Kayden and I’m going in for an HP next week. I hear that there are a lot of people sealing their cork.
yeah, I seal some... others I leave stock to see if there is much actually difference. Coloration is easily removed with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser sponge.
I now have 5 or 6 Champion H Ps that I upgraded from X Ps. I like the Dobyns Rods better than my G Loomis rods. They just feel better for me. And It doesn't hurt that they are 46 miles from me. That makes it easy for me to drive over and upgrade. A rod line that I had bought a bunch of were the TFO rods and after using them, I took them back to Bass Pro Shops. The guy there smiled and said that many those rods come back because they feel good in the store but feel terrible when you take them to the lake. Great video Gramps!
I got 15 Dobyns rods and really enjoy . They have price point for anyone . After breaking couple of my lews and Abu rods I’ve switched everything to mainly Dobyns . Dobyns warranty and customer service is above all the best . If you happen to try bfs fishing Dobyns Sierra ultra rod is great and a lot fun . Thanks for the video.
I ended up picking up one of the dobyns boom boom rods after seeing your video about them being on sale, the 743SF. Do you have any spinning reels you would recommend? I also have 3 dobyns fury rods and a dobyns sierra panfish rod. They make fantastic rods.

Champion XP series DC 745 and a DC 704CB (that's right, a glasser rod). LOL. Spend my time between Texas and Florida with friends and family and we all enjoy trying our luck with the bucket-mouths. Got a few Shimano reels including a recently purchased Metanium. Let the FUN times begin. Kinda thinking about another Dobyns 704-ish for my Shimano Stradic 4000, but we'll see.

Just picked up a 6104 glass Poison Adrena like new traded in by one the staff at American Legacy. My first glass, can’t wait to try it out on some shallow crankin !
I got 4 different sizes and action of the Lews TP1 black rods all matched with Lews tournament pro. And just love the match up, plus I’m a little ocd on all my stuff matching! I picked up one of the rods used at ALF half price and I can’t tell it apart from my new ones
My favorite rod is my googan squad green go-to rod. I'm throwing all kinds of stuff with that one. I love it. But I've really been looking at a new dobyns rod. I like that green one alot. Thanks Gramps
yeah, the Fury line are a step up from the googan green, and offered in a TON of options. Betting the Fury is the best selling line of rods for pure numbers.

This video kind of sounded like a dobyns sales add 😂 get the same kind of stuff from the 6th sense guys about 6th sense rod 😂 one of the only rods I've broke in 30 years was a dobyns and it belonged to my boat partner (His boat) in tournaments years and years ago so I've never even thought to pick up another plus price point to me is a little much especially now I'm disabled. I bought alot of food for the price of a dobyns rod 😂🤣
changes every year, I can only tell it the way it is. If I did it any other way, I wouldn't be being honest. There are reviews during the year of some Lew's Mach Crush, Googan and 6th sense. Last year it was St Croix and Lews Mach 2.

So I work for dicks sporting goods so I get a decent discount on rods and reels. I bought three new setups this year and I love the shimano reels I bought and a 13 fishing reel. My rods I got a couple of Lews rods that I really enjoyed and tried out the googan rods. Unfortunately on like my 3rd fish my googan rod snapped so I brought both back and got the dobyns fury rods and love them. I really want a glass rod but unfortunately dicks doesn’t carry it and I can’t justify the price for bank fishing currently. I do really enjoy the two dobyns rods I do have though.
for Christmas I got myself a Expride A 7'2" mh and a Poison Adrena 6'11" m+, both casting. Soooo Happy...

I love the Dobbins XP skipping rod I have it paired up with the new Zillion 8.5 with that SV spool it skips like no other combo can.

I am no jerkbait expert, but I throw them on mine. There is also a good Kaden rod that is shorter for throwing jerkbaits
