While not cheap, we have found the Walmart Lifetime coolers to be a good investment and have returned as more savings to us than they cost by enabling us to take food with us, come home with grocery purchases as cool and cooler than they were in the grocery store, and having the luxury of ice cold drinks from home during the summer. If you're diving before work or on an extended run, they would certainly allow you to pick up still cool items and produce.
