Many of the stores for some reason aren't allowed. Some stores even destroy things before throwing them in the dumpster so people can't get them.

I truly believe this guy knows a person or 2 store employees to whom he gives bribes. percentage from profits. Hard to believe a store traw away this much merchandise including sealed boxes.
@@raciyesui6530you’d be surprised. One thing I’ve realized, don’t underestimate how fucked up this world can be. Tons of food goes to waste everyday and employees get fired for trying to give it to the homeless or take some home…you really think they care about supplies?

@@jiftx0 Technically legal, it's considered trespassing as the garbage container, although leased, still contains said contents of the property owner, and remains the owner's property until the disposal company removes it, at which time, it then becomes their property.
I know Teachers would appreciate donations of school supplies or things like sidewalk chalk and jump ropes. So many Teachers use their own money to buy these types of items since school board/districts have tight budgets.

As a retail worker, I am disgusted by all the things thrown out. I see our store throw so much that doesn't need to be thrown out. Tissue paper is expensive!

Don’t forget about your local nursing homes! Stuff like this (sealed and untouched) is great to use for parties and activities with the residents.
You shouldn’t donate all of it. You should turn your garage into a pallet store and just sell stuff in bulk to people. You could make bank. Far more than just donating it would do.

That's what he should do, At this point, He'd be making more money than the store itself. With how much they throw away. and how much he's putting into this. I'm surprised that I haven't seen an online store for him. Ebay is better to do that tho. There are many like him. But they just can't keep up with this. Just get what you can and are able to. Vehicles can only carry so much.

In order to write it off as a loss, they have to toss it. For tax reasons, they only allow for donations to certain places. A lot of qualifying places won’t take it. It’s sad.
OMG…with so many families going without…,what a freaking waste! 😢
If that is a DG the problem is that the Distribution warehouse sends so many boxes sometimes 2x a week and they just don't have the staff to put the stock. It sits in the back of the store for months. They are making room for other shipments to come in. I worked for a truckline that delivers for DG. The stores have no control over what they get or how many boxes. I'd just call the store and say you have 1100 boxes to arrive on your next truck. Sad. But thank God we have ppl to rescue and use or profit from the items discarded.
Yeah no. This isn't a company problem. There's protocols for this kind of stuff. What you're seeing here is people getting fired for being lazy. Only thing that's supposed to go in those dumpsters is trash. Disgraceful.
My older sister used to dumpster dive, was with her one night driving around and we found a massive dumpster next to a dollar general. They threw out the entire store. We filled up my tahoe the first night. She made a post on a dumpster diving page on fb and the next night so many people showed up. It was insane.

When items are Pennie’s out the stores are required by law to throw it away. The employees are not allowed to donate or take the items. This is our government doing such a great job to help people in need. Just throw it in the dumpster.

A lot of schools would love the pens,paper pads,chalk etc as some parents can not afford to get school supplies for their childern and some good hearted teachers buy school supplies out of their pockets.
I am so glad that you do this. I cannot believe the retail stores want all of this to go to the landfill. What a waste. Good for you for getting as much as you can. You can do so much good with all of that.
Most would frown on this. But imagine spending 100 on something in the store vs going to the dumpster and getting the same Item for free lol. You just saved hundreds.

I am truly curious what their excuse is for that much merchandise being thrown out like that!? Is the store closing? I don’t get what their reasoning could possibly be!? The dollar general in my town got a new store manager and the store was in such bad shape cuz they’re so understaffed and will only let her hire 3 employees for this store…so she got it cleaned up pretty nicely by tossing out all the crap that wasn’t selling and in the back room etc…but they still didn’t throw out this amount of merchandise…this is just so weird

Cops are aware of the amount of waste cuz they’re the ones who stop and ask the dumpster divers what their up too and see the things that get pulled out of dumpsters…some even o it themselves! In my town, the crew that drives the dump trucks to pick up the trash have it out for dumpster divers cuz they’re taking the loot that normally the workers get to rummage through and take home….I’ve caught them dumpster diving lol
I have had a cop pass me by while I was diving at a local Dollar Tree completely ignore me!!! Twice at least

The waste starts at the over production of products at the manufacturers, thus is the American way. And people wonder why other countries hate America, this is one reason.
Donating usually gets tossed out anyway…they could have put it in a pallet auction and gotten some return on the waste by selling it to resellers

Having worked in the education system, it literally breaks my heart how much school supplies is in that dumpster. Teachers often have to go out of pocket to buy school supplies for their classrooms. The fact that we waste so much is so frustrating to me.

If your daughter is younger take a crap ton of those glow sticks, fill up the bathtub, throw a ton in and turn out the lights! I did it with my kids and they LOVED it!!! That will also make a good gift for treat bags for class parties or even birthday party favors

You might want to help another you tuber what the hales, Jeremy and George helped the Hudson sister bring back Christmas in the creek, everyone in levy County Florida was invited to bring the family, but the best part was that this was a section that hurricane Ian devastated those people lost everything and I bet with rebuilding there was not much left for Christmas. Next year they vow to go bigger, and anything they had left they will store for next year. Please check them out.
