Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:
    1. 1:12 {Different Wills among the Godhead?} In the Trinity, do the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all have three separate wills?
    2. 22:15 {Conflict in Israel - Eschatological Significance?} Is the war going on in Israel right now part of a biblical prophecy?
    3. 30:28 {One Governor or 12?} In 1 Kings 4:7-19, there are twelve governors for Israel listed. I’m confused by verse 19b: “There was one governor...” What’s your take on this? 12 or 1?
    4. 36:22 {Do Some Sins Indicate a Lack of Salvation?} Verses like Matthew 6: 14 make me feel like there are sins so bad that if you commit them (like unforgiveness), you’re 100% not a Christian. I feel like I have to maintain my own salvation.
    5. 41:04 {Would the Spirit Ever Leave Us?} Can you please explain what it meant in 1 Samuel when the Spirit left Saul?
    6. 44:16 {The Vatican & Revelation} Does Revelation 7:9 apply to Vatican City despite its size and hosting unbiblical stuff?
    7. 48:42 {Is Marital Intimacy Only for Procreation?} Can a biblical case be made for the purpose of sex within marriage being for procreation AND intimacy/pleasure and not just for procreation? Is sex without the possibility of procreation evil?
    8. 55:11 {Christians Made Whole “Again”?} How do you feel about songs that state, “You make me whole again”? It’s my understating that before faith in Christ we aren’t whole, saved, or forgiven. Thoughts?
    9. 58:38 {Teaching Convictions as Truth} How should we deal with a pastor who is unwilling to receive correction on anything against his own convictions? It wouldn’t be as big of an issue, but he preaches his ideas as truth (i.e., no alcohol).
    10. 1:03:57 {Counting our Trials as Joy} How are we to “count it all joy” when we face trials and temptations, as James chapter 1 says?
    11. 1:09:58 {Wisdom = “She”?} Can you help me understand why in Proverbs 2 the Bible refers to wisdom as “she”? How do we argue this with those who try to speak about multiple gods, or LGBTQ+ people saying He is neither gender?
    12. 1:13:45 {Refuting Modalism} What is the best way to dismantle Modalism in a loving way to someone?
    13. 1:17:05 {The Commander of the Lord’s Army} In Joshua 5: 13, who is the commander of the Lord’s army? Is this another Christophany? And why do we read so little about him if he helped Joshua in his ventures?
    14. 1:20:53 {Are the Mentally Disabled Saved?} What happens to autistic people or mentally disabled people? Do they go to Heaven?
    15. 1:22:54 {Am I Saved if I Have An Addiction?} How do I know If I actually have a saving faith, especially considering that I’m addicted to pornography, and am having a hard time asking for someone to help me stop. Thanks.
    16. 1:29:46 {Congregational Votes - Sometimes Sinful?} Is it against the Bible to have your congregation vote on whether or not to have women as elders?
    17. 1:31:48 {Indwelling, Infilling & Assurance} Do you have the Holy Spirit if you haven't been baptized with Him? I don't feel/believe like I do. I can't hear His voice.
    18. 1:34:51 {The Day of The Lord & His Second Coming} How do the ideas of "The Day of The Lord" in the Old Testament and Jesus' second coming in the New Testament intersect? I've been studying this, but I'd like some of your opinions.
    19. 1:36:51 {A Cure for Hypocrisy} What is the cure for hypocrisy? I have stopped going to church because I feel rotten on the inside and feel like a fraud. I don’t seem to love Jesus like others. My heart is cold. No emotion.
    20. 1:43:49 {Can the Bible Become an Idol?} Is it possible to love the Bible so much that it can be a form of an idol?

My pornographic addiction wasn’t stripped away from me until I confessed my sim and apologized to my wife for disrespect her for using pornography for my quick fixes. 12 years and I’ve tried to fight and fight and fight and I just asked one day,
“God forgive me, I can’t shake it. But I know it’s not the works I do but the works you do in me. I need you to take it from me.”
and it was as if the Holy Spirit just turned to me and said, “you need to confess your sin to your wife first”
Since my confession to my wife since I was ultimately subbing against her, it’s as if God completely removed the temptation from my life. Praise be to God!

I got into witchcraft from a sister in law and I was able to know things before they happened. My friend had asked for one of her spell books so I went over to bring it back to her but when I opened the book a demon face came out at me, I threw it across the room and told my friend to return it back to her. Well I started to get out of it and there was a being that was making my life harder. One of my other friends told me I should start reading my dad's bible he had died just a couple of yrs prier and when I got to revelation I was read to except Jesus. There is more to this but it's too long but I give GOD the glory He richly deserves.

Practicing spell casting, etc. Things started going really bad in my life (and hers). We ended up divorcing. A few years after that I picked up the Bible and true miracles started happening in my life. It was (and is) amazing.

Jonathon, it's good to hear someone your age, or any age, turning to Jesus. Maybe I should leave it alone, but I think my advice, if not a misunderstanding, is sound. It's this:
You might be referring to actual sermons by Mike, but if you're talking about his TH-cam videos, I would consider them to be more of a Bible study than a sermon, though there is some crossover. I make the distinction because I think we need both.
For instance, there was a time when I was doing a lot of Bible study, both online and on my own, but not going to church or hearing actual sermons. I'm glad I recognized that I need both. You might be different, or perhaps, like I said, I've misunderstood you. God bless. I'll pray that you stay in the faith (it's a sticky, tricky, dark world out there), and maybe you can do the same for me.

Mike, I can't tell you how much I love your approach on this first question. I used to deny the Trinity because I could not humanly understand it. I was a modalist. But the scriptures clearly teach the trinity, and so now when I explained it to others I start with the fact that God is God and we are human and we cannot fully understand him. It's when we try to put God in a box that we are led to heresy.

Q1 I've been a follower of Jesus and "Berean" for many years and The Holy Trinity is one subject I believe by Faith because I see scripture refer to each as "God". BUT I cannot, so far, understand it- not surprising since I am only human. His ways are far beyond my capabilities, so like a little child I cry Abba Father and trust The Lord to finish the work He began in me- including revealing Himself more fully as I live & grow & study. Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Hey Mike, as one of those who has given pushback on how you handle questions like q15, I just want to say I've noticed that you have made an effort to be much more careful recently in your clarity, which I have appreciated. The solution for one who doubts their salvation is to increase faith/trust/reliance on Jesus, not to seek assurance by increasing their moral effort (though that should be an outflow). I could quibble over minor interpretations, but my main concern has been for those like myself coming from a background of Puritan influenced views of assurance, where our behavior is really the only way any of us can know if we have a saving faith. That view I have found to be destructive, and had I not come out of it might have put me in the very position of being one that says, "Lord, Lord, did I not DO...?". I fear there are many others in that position especially in the TH-cam space, striving for their assurance by their works. Your clarity paints the target squarely where it needs to be: on Jesus and his willingness to accept even the sinful tax collector. In light of that, I think one of the most serious dangers of repetitive sin and addiction is that it causes us to withdraw from trust in Jesus and seek to solve the problem ourselves. We need to run to him first, foremost, and always.

I also grew up in Calvary Chapels, and while I love their devotion to verse by verse teaching (which has saved me falling into many false doctrines), there is a tendency to overplay end times prophecy. Your description is kind and accurate, the pastors that do this are not trying to trick anyone, they have a love for the Word and are seeking to see God working in this world.

Thanks for answering my question (Q19).
I wouldn’t say I stopped going to church to feel better but rather to not pretend to be something I’m not. In the Bible a hypocrite is someone who does all the right things on the outside but on the inside they are rotten. I don’t want to be one.
I have no love in me. Not for God and not every for my family. When my grandparents died I did not even shed a tear. When I ‘worship’ at church I feel like a hypocrite singing many lyrics because people around me are clearly pouring their hearts out to God and yet I can’t say I love Jesus without wondering if I am sincere or a liar. For many years I have also struggled with assurance and so having this struggle (as well as struggling to had a devotional life) only makes my assurance worse.
Because of feeling like a hypocrite, I stopped taking communion and then stopped going to church for the past month. I wanted to be alone (not pretend I’m on fire going to several meetings a week) and examine myself deeply. I have stayed at home and still watch most of the services online. I still listen to a lot of Christian videos online and sometimes pray to God and meditate on Him and ask Him to help me to not be a hypocrite and to love Him and other people. I’m still seeking God and trying to build a personal relationship with Him.
Being alone has actually helped me a bit. I used to always struggle with the Bible verse ‘God does not hear sinners’ because I never heard back from God in prayer and so thought maybe I must be an unsaved sinner. But a week ago, I was really struggling in my heart and I asked God “Let the next song help me” (as I was currently listening to worship music). I didn’t want to influence the next song and so I told Siri on my iPad “Hey Siri, play a worship song”. What happened next I couldn’t believe happened. Siri didn’t play a song but started playing a Christian radio live broadcast that I have never even heard of before. And as soon as Siri started playing the radio station, the man started to speak for a minute about hypocrisy and said some things about giving our struggle to God and He also mentioned the verse James 4:8 “Draw near to me and I will draw near to you”.
This was the first time in my life that I really believed God had heard me. This helped me a bit with assurance and I take that verse James 4:8 as a message from God Himself. I am also learning to grasp that I am rotten but it’s not about me, it’s about the sacrifice of the Jesus.

Thank you for sharing this brother/sister in Christ. It takes a lot of humility to open up about stuff like this. Really hoping God’s presence is felt in your life moving forward and his word continues to resonate with you. Sometimes I myself have to take a little time to meditate on Christ’s sacrifice to remind myself of what it meant and what it means. Someone taking on the worst punishment possible for an undeserving sinner like myself so that I can be saved just blows me away.

Love isn't always something that we feel, often it is something that we practice. If you don't feel like you love God, but you are practicing spending time waiting on Him, and reading His Word, spending time with and caring for His people, you are practicing love for God whether you get the feelings or not.
It's wonderful that God spoke to you through the radio and showed you that He always hears you. Remember that our obedience is a response to His salvation, not the way to get it. I would strongly suggest reconnecting with church again, and being honest about your struggles with someone you can trust, like a pastor or mentor or trusted friend. You might be surprised how many people struggle with the same things.
If you are feeling convicted about sin or hypocrisy, that conviction is a good thing, it shows that God is not leaving you to your sin. He is not finished working on you, He is determined to grow you into the image of Christ. Of course you're not there yet, none of us is! But recognizing it is the first step, followed by turning from our sin and practicing obedience, out of love for the God Who hasn't given up on us.
May you be richly blessed with an understanding of just how great God's love and mercy for you truly is.

Hey @Anteater23 thanks for asking the question and being present in the chat. Obviously I don’t know you, but my experience makes me wonder if you have always felt cold or of some sort of diminished emotion , or if this is a change in your personality? If it’s a change, I wonder if you’ve experienced some sort of health/mental health change, and would encourage you to seek counsel from a professional if you think this describes your situation. If you think you have always had colder emotions than others, maybe that’s also true and you are seeing yourself as different to “normal people”; I think this is definitely worth pray in about and seeking help from God and possibly a professional in a mental health field. “Normal” is a huge range of personalities, and Christians are not automatically immune to mental health diversity or diseases. Mike suggested reaching out to someone at church, and I totally agree - but would also encourage you not to stop reaching out if the first person says no or doesn’t have the capacity to help. As Mike often says, may God give you wisdom. I’m praying tonight that somehow, God is at work in you and causing your love to grow and your coldness to thaw. Bless ya.

I have been there too. I know the shame, regret and pain that covers those choices and that maybe you want to hide from them. You cannot undo what you have done. You can go forward learning from that to keep yourself as the priceless gem God created you to be. Sometimes those memories serve to keep us from failing again. Either way though, if you have repented of this sin, know that God forgives you. I assume you have but if not, go to God with everything out in the open - I know this relationship itself was a sin, the lust and allowing it to control me was a sin, I know my actions were sinful, I agree this is not how You created me nor do You desire that I ultimately hurt myself and You by doing those things, please forgive me and help me to not fall into this again. I desire the person You have for me and I will wait on You no matter how long that takes, I am Yours and I am here to honor You alone. Then, as hard as it may be, accept His promise that if you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. And remind yourself of this when those thoughts come to mind again. This is a promise, no, we shouldn’t just do whatever we want and hey, I’m all good because Christ died for me - even though that’s true, it’s not a repentant heart. But, sounds like you have the repentant heart, forgive yourself for doing the stupid thing(s) and know that God loves you absolutely no less for failing in this.
To those who may read this and don’t have a repentant heart, pray that God will help you to see that His ways are better than our ways and agree with Him that what He calls sin is sin whether you agree or not, ask Him to soften your heart toward sin and help you stop doing things you know are wrong, even if you don’t “feel bad” for doing them - our consciences are seared in many ways and that could be where that person may be, still doesn’t make the actions okay.

How many wars and rumors of wars have there been since that was written in the Bible? Do you think there are endless number of wars that will occur and all of them are meaningless because of this one Bible verse? Or are there numerous other prophetic verses that provide insight and warnings that we are definitely at the end of this age and very, very near the return of Christ?

Its not that most officers do not want to do anything, they have just had their hands tied in so many ways by the crazy misconceptions of our current society. We have more shackles on our cops than we do on criminals! this makes it nearly impossible to keep our police forces staffed so what do we do? We hire people with no qualifications who have the same misconceptions that got us into this mess. this is happening with our teachers as well. you are only allowed to believe one way or you will not have a job. So now we teach our children incorrectly and there is no punishment for acting out that behaviour in our communities. This is going to get bad very quickly if we cant change some things.

This is the program where I fit in. I have always had the struggle that I'm not saved. It's humiliating to admit to you, but I'm going to be 80 my next birthday. I was supposedly saved in 1976. I started thinking God used me to bring in my husband who was far more valuable than I am. I was so afraid to witness to anyone. I hear people say if you are truly saved, you won't be able to stop talking about Jesus. Then I read that God either chooses you or he doesn't. Then I think would God allow me to love him so much if I'm not saved? I have been in this torment all these years. Sometimes I swear the Holy Spirit shows me wonderful things in the bible, and when I ask a question I get the answer before I'm finished asking. Maybe that's a trick of my mind. I could go on but I won't. The only good thing I do is pray. I would love to get rid of these thoughts and enjoy Jesus but I can't try to fool myself. It's too important. Who knows how long I have left. I can't just trust some other Christian's opinion, but I feel Mike has a good grasp of the Word. It would be such a blessing if Mike could help me.

It would help this thread to look at the Hebrew understanding of love. God’s love is a whole-hearted commitment, much like a parent with a child. That love contains both a sense of loyalty and duty but also compassion and delight. I think the point of the original comment is that love is not emotionally driven, as if God were reacting to something good in us. But likewise, God doesn’t love us because he owes us anything. God loves us simply because God loves us. I think his motivation is beyond the scope of our understanding and beyond what Scripture reveals. Even when he rescued the Israelites, he said he chose to love them on his own terms, but he never actually says why.

If you understood the history of the trinity, that might help.
There's no biblical evidence to support the trinity but after Christianity began to spread, it was also foretold that corruption would develop, as well.(Acts 20;29,30;Mt.7:15;2nd Peter 2:1)
Over time, pagan beliefs were assimilated into Greek philosophy(the trinity, hellfire, and the immortal soul) and they began to be accepted by some Christians.
In 325 C.E., Roman Emperor Constantine, after assuming control of the existing congregations and via the Nicene Council, declared the trinity part of "Christianity". Later, Emperor Theodosius (381 C.E.) established the RCC and, subsequently made it the "State Religion". The trinity then became Church dogma.

Isaiah 40:13-14; Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor? 14 Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?

Pastor Mike, thank you for your videos! They helped me grow greatly in the faith. I’ve witnessed to two JWs already thanks to your videos and the help of my pastor. And your videos about flat-earthers also helped me a ton!
Regarding the first question. Isn’t the question of Jesus having two wills related to His fully divine and fully human nature, not to the Trinity? Meaning, there was a conflict of His human and divine wills, not the conflict of two divine wills?
I believe, the Early Church also agreed on this topic and it’s not heresy?
Genuinely interested in what you think about the two natures of Christ?
    Blessings to you!🙌🕊️

Very well approached on Q. #1.
I'd like to add that our problem with understanding the Trinity is that (as you said) we are trying to approach it with our minds.
But i want to add to that, that It is much easier to understand it if we approach it with our heart.
Our God is a loving Father and is trying to teach us how to think with our hearts (being emotionally aware and empathetic)
but we fail and He knows already as He is revealing it to us in Rev 5:2-4 calling us unworthy and 2 Timothy 3:2-3 showing us our problems.

Atheists and Religions KNOW and are fully aware that they are -
      1. NOT worshippers of the Creator and
      2. NOT followers of Jesus Christ
      but
still keep on debating, arguing, and insulting each other about their so-called biblical god, about Adam and Eve, and other things in the Bible
but don't know and understand anything written in the Bible about Jesus Christ and his God and Father, the Creator.
ATHEISM and all RELIGIONS BRING and CAUSE DISHONOR and ETERNAL DEATHS to MANKIND
      The Creator KNOWS
that all Atheists, Agnostics, Evolutionists, Jehovah's Witnesses, SDAs, Mormons, Baptists, Catholics, Born Again Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and fanatics of all kinds of Religions
who deliberately rejected the BIBLICAL authority and teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" clearly written in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26 as worthless and useless
      are obviously
the ungrateful, unkind, deceitful, and disrespectful persons on earth
      who
don't respect and value their own lives, dignities, and existence....
not bothered at all and just don't care even if their own lies, deceits, hypocrisies, false and UNBIBLICAL teachings and doctrines about "Armageddon", "heaven and hellfire", "Trinity", "rapture", and "reincarnation"
bring and cause their own dishonor, disgrace, downfall and ETERNAL DEATHS, just worthless and useless dusts on earth forever.
HONOR and ETERNAL LIFE and EXISTENCE on EARTH for WORSHIPPERS of the CREATOR and FOLLOWERS of his CHRIST
      The Creator KNOWS
that all persons on earth who rejected Atheism and all Religions as worthless and useless and freely and willingly -
      1. honor and obey Him instead as their loving, kind, and merciful God and Heavenly Father
in obedience to what were written in Matthew 22: 37 and John 17: 3
      2. submit to the authority of Jesus Christ and believe his teachings about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead"
in obedience to what were written in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26
      are clearly
his worshippers and Followers of Jesus Christ on earth
      who
can be trusted with anything and are worthy and deserving of his favor and reward of ETERNAL LIFE and EXISTENCE without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death on a safe and peaceful earth without liars, deceivers, perverts, traitors, the immoral, and murderers as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4, 8.
Worshippers of the Creator and followers of Jesus Christ KNOW
and are fully aware that all human beings have no immortal souls and will just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths just like the animals as written in Ecclesiastes 3: 19: 20 ; 9: 5, 6
      but
worshippers of the Creator who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's disciples and followers, and many others will not remain as worthless and useless dusts on earth forever,
      Instead,
in the Creator's right and proper time and as written in John 11: 25, 26,
Jesus Christ will freely, willingly, and happily RESURRECT them back to life so they can all happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD"
and fully enjoy his and the Creator's eternal love, kindness, goodness, compassions, generosities, favors, and blessings for eternity under his loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection as the Creator's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth. as written in Revelation 11: 15.

It's less about our minds and or hearts and more about the fact we are limited in all aspects. God still managed to give us guidance to avoid pitfalls. We can't invoke emotion as an excuse to ignore what is clearly understood by the mind.

@@arcguardian I believe what you are saying is wrong and it still implies that the heart is only about its emotions and any possible processing is doable through the intellect.
The heart has its own intelligence and it relates to empathy and our Holy Book is a lesson of empathy (Mark 12:31, John 3:16) which is the opposite of narcissism and narcissism is something that relates to ego and the mind and the things it can discover. 🤔

    • @arcguardian

@@Achilleas7 narcissism isn't mutually exclusive to the mind. The mind is also a creation from God capable of understanding the Word of God. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind, so it isn't biblical to disregard the mind and its purpose(s).

    • @Achilleas7

@@arcguardian Ego and pride dwells in the mind, not in empathy. Narcissism = pride = lack of empathy and is the result of a carnal mind for temple instead of delivering it to God.
Just consider it.. i am not saying don't use the mind.. But our Bible is surely a book on empathy and that does not dwell where the ego does.

I understand this to show us that Jesus was still in the flesh, yet the Spirit overcome the flesh. As for me, I'm a human being in the flesh, but we should be close enough to God via Jesus that our Spirit will also be able to overcome.

Praying for you and your loved one Pastor Mike! There's a gang of teens and young adults who go around neighborhoods and break car windows or steal cars and total them and leave them. Lawlessness is everywhere. We got more cameras but hard to discern from the road or in dark. In Illinois they're doing away with bail in January for felonies! Pretty scary!

Regarding Q 19, it's sooo easy to give up and quit. I think it would be a worthwhile subject for Bible thinker(s) to tackle. The cavity analogy resonates, but the issue is more akin to someone getting cavities despite the fact they are brushing, which makes giving up an option for someone who actually is going to church and still feels horrible etc.
