Question 10 is typically asked by people who don’t want to have any impediments with associating with people who don’t believe the same things they do. Unfortunately, there is no scripture that segregates biblical teaching by whether it’s a “salvation” issue or not. Jesus says you WILL KNOW THE TRUTH and knowing the TRUTH will set you free. Jesus never indicated you will know SOME truth but other beliefs will be untrue yet you should still fellowship with PROFESSING Christians who don’t believe the same thing. Nope!! Jesus never said that. You can’t have truth mixed with lies or misleading doctrines. Everything you believe and accept must be the truth as far as you know it to be or believe it to be. So, if you think your personal beliefs are true and others don’t share those beliefs then they are not your spiritual BROTHERS and SISTERS. My younger brother and I were raised by an extremely abusive father. Screaming and hitting were all we knew in the discipline department. Throw in the confusion of sex equals love from him to me and I was really messed up. If at any time the two of us were actually getting along my father would say we were being too loud or messy or whatever. We literally had no other way of communicating with one another. We fought non-stop. I was determined when I married that I would not tolerate being abused by any man, and told my husband that if he ever got physical with me he better either kill me or not be stupid enough to eat or sleep under my roof again, or I would kill him while he was doing one or the other. We got into an argument one day and he said something I didn't like so I hit him. He told me that if he couldn't hit me he would appreciate the same consideration. He and I learned how to work things out with words rather than fists. I honestly didn't realize how emotionally handicapped I was where my brother was concerned until one day I was watching a music video and there were a brother and sister and it was so clear they truly loved one another and I started feeling very angry toward my father who took that away from my brother and me. My brother and I had worked out our differences just as soon as I moved out when I graduated HS. I made room for him so he wouldn't continue to be abused by my father. We got to know one another as adults but I cried for the kids we never got to be. It took me a very long time to forgive my father for what he stole from us. Jesus helped me through. He gave me a wonderfully patient husband and a new relationship with my father and my brother and I couldn't be closer, though I am trying to bring him to Jesus and he is not interested. I just keep planting seeds. It really does hurt your children when you provoke them. Them and anyone who loves them, for the rest of their lives.

I agree with your answer on Psychology, I went to therapy after losing my daughter, it was a horrible useless experience which added zero value to my life. The psychologist was intent on unearthing my childhood issues which had nothing to do with helping me process my grief, I left after 4 sessions. Now I find my comfort and answers in Christ alone.
Q19: Read the word everyday, pray every day, listen to a sermon everyday (or something that feeds you spiritually). Read Isaiah 26:3! Keep your mind STAYED ON GOD.

In Eze. 33:30-32, God talks about ppl who come before Him acting like they're interested in what the Bible has to say and they pay Him all the lip service in the world, but they're not actually doing what the Bible requires of them. Obeying God is more effective than simply having one's mind on God.
The response to #11 was so helpful. I have a lot of universalist "Christians" in my family and they really have no idea what other religions teach. Arrogance comes quickly when someone decides that God is what they say it is VS. what the Bible actually says about God.
If universalism is true and eventually all people and even Satan, his fallen angels, and demons will be saved, what was God’s purpose in creating Adam and Eve? So Cain could murder Abel and cause their parents immense grief? God would be considered a sadist. Since Abel’s death, billions of humans have died from natural aging, illnesses, accidents, and murders. Why allow humans to experience pain and suffering?

I’m studying for my PMHNP and it took me a long time to go down this path because I was afraid of doing something ungodly. I changed my majors several time because of it. I did seek counsel regarding this from a godly person and I realized I could do this if I kept God at the center. There are people with severe psychiatric disorders that really need help.
We need people whose world view is not just secular. I needed counseling and had difficulty finding someone who understood how important my faith was to me. May God be your guide and counselor.
I come from a family full of trauma and mental illness and addiction and I know that many many people could use help from Godly people in the mental health professions. I think it’s a good choice to pursue that and I’ll be praying for you! 💖🙏🏻✝️

Re #14: I definitely used to read scripture as though it was all being spoken directly to me. It was nice while I was just reading the encouraging things, but as soon as I got to Old Testament judgement prophecies, I got such intense anxiety and existential dread thinking, “is this for me too?” No. It’s not. If you want direct and specific council for yourself, seek out godly counselors and friends. Don’t just apply scripture willy-nilly whenever it “feels” right. There’s a reason God gives us counselors and teachers rather than just the written scriptures alone
The last question I can really relate to and I want to start by saying I 100% agree with your perspective, Pastor Mike. I’d like to add my own. As a child my parents never made me feel worthy of their love. I was made to feel completely worthless and basically the biggest mistake my parents ever made. Nothing I ever did was good enough for them. I tried to be good enough for them and failed every single time. I still would fail if I were to try today. They damaged me for many years. Praise God for healing the trama of my childhood. So when I hear people use the term you are enough and you are worthy I associate those with you are worthy of love and you are enough. From an earthly perspective. A child should never have to earn their parents love and should never be made to feel unworthy of their parents affections. Of course from perspective of salvation we are not worthy and on our own we are not enough. I just think it’s important to define what the person is referring to.
Am I correct in thinking that if Jesus is fully God, He could have stopped His suffering at any moment? That would mean He willfully chose to suffer for our sake! What perfect love! Not only enduring suffering, but choosing to endure suffering. This is miraculous love! Praise the Lord!
The scriptural account is clear. Jesus submitted himself to the doing of his fathers' will. Jesus isn't fully God. He isn't God at all, so he couldn't have stopped his own suffering. Only his father could have done that but since they were both in agreement, the idea is inconceivable.

When me and my family are eating in public, we pray and thank God for our food, just the same as when we're not in public. As long as you're praying to truly honor the Lord and thanking God for the blessing, and to instill in your children the importance of acknowledging and being thankful to the Lord no matter when and where you are.

Great session Mike! I liked how you answered the question about commandments and the rich young ruler. I think also that Jesus told him to sell all and give to the poor and come follow Him to reveal the young man's great sin. The young man who thought he had kept all the commandments had broken the First and greatest commandment. He loved his possessions over God. The young man had also broken the Second commandment in that he loved himself and his possessions rather than his neighbors. Jesus could have said "Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself" but instead He was brilliant in how he revealed the man's true condition.
I loved your answer to the 14th question but one thing I would like to add is that even today some victims of sexual abuse feel shame and blame themselves even though what happened to them is not actually their fault. The shame that Tamar felt when Amnon violated her, many victims of sexual abuse today experience similar shame to that. But any ways great Answer pastor mike and I really enjoyed this Q&A like usual. After listening to the last section/part of the video, I still have this thought in mind: you are worth it to Jesus, so much that He died for you and I so that none should have to perish but live forever.
#8. There are a lot of Christians who get a secular psych or social work degree, and then choose to do both faith-based and secular therapy, or just faith-based. The benefit of getting a psych or social worker degree instead of a divinity type degree is you can bill insurance plans which helps many people afford therapy, you’ll learn a lot more about major mental illnesses and other treatments for when someone is dealing with something that faith-based therapy probably isn’t enough, and you’ll be able to work with people in a lot larger variety of settings. If you get an undergrad degree in psych you will learn about various theories (like Freud and Jung, which would be very hard to adapt to a faith-based only worldview) but these are taught more as learning the history of psychology and the different theories on how humans develop in healthy or unhealthy ways. Your graduate degree is where you really learn how to apply the current day major forms of psychological intervention, and the two most common are CBT and. DBT, both of which can be applied in a faith-based way or can be used in a secular way in which we can still suggest that our clients really evaluate their spiritual beliefs, process spiritual damage, and explore how re/building a faith practice can help them. So there’s a lot of room to let God use your skills/work for good even if you don’t limit yourself to “Christian counseling.” I have worked in both types of settings (secular and faith-based), and in private practice I advertise myself as offering faith-based counseling,” but I don’t limit myself to “Christians” or only those looking for “Christian counseling.” God has used me to reach a lot of people who had spiritual damage from past abuse who would have refused to work with me if I had adopted those labels. But once they came to trust that I understood them, and wanted the best for them, and didn’t have an agenda, it became possible for me to cover those deeper hurts/topics. I don’t see anything in the Bible that would lead me to believe therapy/psychology is evil or to be avoided by Believers because counseling is a normal part of the job duties that religious leaders do already. Plus Proverbs has a lot in common with psychological self-help and counseling goals/interventions/beliefs on what is “healthy.”

as to question 1, Jesus does say in one of the gospels to a man who asked what should I be doing, and Jesus said you are to believe in the one God sent. So then later when Jesus gives his command before he goes to the cross saying, if you love me, then love each other. So I see that we are to love God, believe in Jesus and follow his command to love each other. Which loving each other encompasses so much, as Jesus says the highest love to a brother and sister is to die for them. I love how pastor Mike goes into details of how we glorify God. I never thought of how a flower glorifies God by just being beautiful, and as we are made in Gods image we have a much higher standard to glorify God. Its so true that joy is found when I do every task for God as I dont complain while I work when I do it for God, I know he is glorified when I do excellent work by thinking of him and how this work will bless those who enjoy what ever work I am doing.

Mike, in general I follow your carefully thought out discussions with close agreement, but I differ slightly with one regard. As a young teen I enjoyed night church because it was a time of singing many songs that I loved. However, I remember one sermon on Revelations discussing an admonition against those who would add to the Bible, or take away from it. I found it difficult to imagine anyone arrogant enough to do so. As time has proceeded, I discovere many instances of that from Jehovah's Witnesses to 7th Day Adventists to some "modern" worship churches to the Roman Catholic Church to the Jewish Pharisees and Saducees. As regards to Roman Catholicism, I find the placement of the priest in between the relationship of mankind and God troubling. They seem to emphasize the dying God over the resurrected God with each Mass and take the place of Christ connecting us with God by His sacrifice. I feel like this is an important distinction that leads many Catholics to be confused about the simple way of Christ as the only doorway to God and Heaven. They also, as the Jewish Theologians have a long list of added historical traditions that they view equally as important as Scripture. I feel that was what Paul was warning us about when it was a simple Jewish/Gentile comparison of the early church. I fear that "getting along" with those different thought avenues might not lead to the same Heaven. We should all get along as far as possible, but I think we should also admonish when we place our own thoughts as equal to God's thoughts. (sorry for being so long winded) Warfeist
I just happen to BE a graphic artist. I am so thankful for the work I do and for the people I work for. I have worked in places where I was not appreciated or treated well. It is hard to pour love into your work when you are working for someone who mistreats you. It is pure joy to work for the people I work for now and I am able to pour love into everything I do for them. It makes an amazing difference. You can try your very best to please, but being able to feel love for your employers is like adding a power booster to your abilities. And I do feel like this is where God has placed me. It really has been a gift.
I am frequently baffled and heartbroken thinking about people who were abused as children, never were able to overcome the pain and psychological issues, and will never be saved. I have to keep going back to Psalm 139:6. Such knowledge is too lofty for me.
Not all of us, ...will never be saved. Abuse is a mild term, torture is more like it. God speaks to us too. The physical scars are still visible but the psychological scars are gone (at least in my case). God loves us too and heals those who don't identify and hang onto their past.

For question #6. I'm a believer my husband is not....he use 2 argue with me about how stupid I was for believing n "fairy tales", reading the bible or listening 2 sermons wud cause so many issues. He even said he would divorce me which I didnt protest to....then changed his mind....I think it was a control tactic.... He knew I was Christian b4 we married and I knew he use 2 be then deconverted in adulthood...we both thought we could sway the other. But instead of trying 2 convience I just lived the truth of christ and loved him despite his state, I read my bible and listened 2 sermons at work(I wrk overnight)....i look at him n sadness bc ik he is not saved BUT I still show the love of christ in Hope he would be some day. 5 years married now he tells ppl I'm the best Christian he knows 😂. Its a miracle bc 5yrs ago he wudve never said anything remotely nice about a Christian. It was really hard but I knew god would get me thru it and it made my faith even stronger.

Walter Gibson was a magician in the early 20th century, and he wrote a book exposing the magic tricks of Pharaoh's magicians. One I remember reading about was that there is a certain type of snake in Egypt and throughout North Africa that if you pinch it on it's head it gets rigid as a stick, and they used to use them as magic wands. Gibson went through each trick and showed how it could have been done. He then went on to show how Moses out did them on a divine scale that they couldn't match. I wish I could remember the name of the book, but it was really interesting.

Hey Mike! I really enjoy your content. Just fyi, for question 2, Bill Johnson definitely teaches in his books that Jesus laid aside his divinity. He believes and teaches that Jesus wasn't God on earth. Very dangerous teaching. We dug very deep on this to bring to our church that was alligning with Bethel. Scary stuff.
He also teaches that, since Jesus wasn't God on earth, believers today can (and should) do everything Jesus did while here. Except that neither he nor any of his people has managed to raise the dead...

Mike, I'm so glad to hear you describe your view clearly and correctly on the kenosis idea. So many people incorrectly say Bethel, Todd White, and Dan Mohler think that Jesus wasn't God. It's refreshing to hear your willingness to fully understand what they mean when talking about this. Although I'm not 100% on board with all things Bethel, the things I have looked into that are most often criticized are often misinterpreted. I've often thought of this topic concerning Jesus as if Elon Musk were to lay down all of his finances and go to Africa and have to start all over with nothing and start a new business. Technically he's still the richest man in the world, but he's not doing it as the richest man in the world and utilizing his finances ad the power that comes with them. #3 sounds like someone who has been hiding some sin in their life for a while and it is finally festering and coming to the surface - whether they've always had rage issues but have kept them under control or it could be that it is too hard to keep hiding a sin and so now they are lashing out to misdirect to try and keep their sin hidden.
It seems to me the purpose of this life is simply to determine where you will spend eternity. Once that decision has been made, our lives are without purpose unless we have chosen the Lord, and then we are called to serve Him and bring others to Him.

Question 19 is one I struggle with all the time. Ever since I started getting exposed to all these different views. Some that seem more biblical then others. I often decide OK I'm gonna follow God and do what I wanna do to honor God then when I go to do those things things happen struggles come and I get scared and retreat.
For #7, Cain comes to mind as he both rejected God, but also feared being a victim of someone else’s sin. God graciously marked and protected him from that danger by cursing anyone who might attack even though as far as we know, Cain may have never reconciled with God.
I do love how God actively loved Cain even after his depravity was clear. But my problem lies with how a Christian should understand their sorrow for the suffering when scripture is quite clear they deserve that suffering a thousand fold in the context of a perfect Creator. It is interesting that Jesus would frequently heal and be compassionate for the afficlicted without always being preoccupied with their eternal salvation in that moment. I wonder if this is relevant. Somehow, for some reason, most of us are wired to have a sense of empathy and justice for anyone who has suffered regardless of whether or not they are "children of wrath".
It's not possible for anyone outside of Christ to Love as Mike describes. It is impossible for it to be their purpose in life to Love and glorify the God they do not know or in fact vehemently deny. I think Mike is such a "nice" guy that he sometimes says things he wishes were true but aren't or can't be.

#9 there was never love shown.I was convinced my mother hated me. We could do nothing right in their eyes. We grew up being discouraged and still have those issues. I know God took me out of this and he saved me but my siblings don't believe in anything and I see their hate in their voices. I can only pray.
At around the 29 minute mark when you were talking about the big Bible thing. I had a pastor who often mentioned this in his sermons and one day he mentioned it about my Bible (It's a Hebrew-Greek key study Bible with a concordance) and I laughed. My Bible is big because I want to know as much as possible as directly from God as possible. At no point did I ever even think of it as a large Bible, just that it was one that contained everything I needed to do good, accurate study. My younger brother and I were raised by an extremely abusive father. Screaming and hitting were all we knew in the discipline department. Throw in the confusion of sex equals love from him to me and I was really messed up. If at any time the two of us were actually getting along my father would say we were being too loud or messy or whatever. We literally had no other way of communicating with one another. We fought non-stop. I was determined when I married that I would not tolerate being abused by any man, and told my husband that if he ever got physical with me he better either kill me or not be stupid enough to eat or sleep under my roof again, or I would kill him while he was doing one or the other. We got into an argument one day and he said something I didn't like so I hit him. He told me that if he couldn't hit me he would appreciate the same consideration. He and I learned how to work things out with words rather than fists. I honestly didn't realize how emotionally handicapped I was where my brother was concerned until one day I was watching a music video and there were a brother and sister and it was so clear they truly loved one another and I started feeling very angry toward my father who took that away from my brother and me. My brother and I had worked out our differences just as soon as I moved out when I graduated HS. I made room for him so he wouldn't continue to be abused by my father. We got to know one another as adults but I cried for the kids we never got to be. It took me a very long time to forgive my father for what he stole from us. Jesus helped me through. He gave me a wonderfully patient husband and a new relationship with my father and my brother and I couldn't be closer, though I am trying to bring him to Jesus and he is not interested. I just keep planting seeds. It really does hurt your children when you provoke them. Them and anyone who loves them, for the rest of their lives.

I agree with your answer on Psychology, I went to therapy after losing my daughter, it was a horrible useless experience which added zero value to my life. The psychologist was intent on unearthing my childhood issues which had nothing to do with helping me process my grief, I left after 4 sessions. Now I find my comfort and answers in Christ alone.

In Eze. 33:30-32, God talks about ppl who come before Him acting like they're interested in what the Bible has to say and they pay Him all the lip service in the world, but they're not actually doing what the Bible requires of them. Obeying God is more effective than simply having one's mind on God.
The response to #11 was so helpful. I have a lot of universalist "Christians" in my family and they really have no idea what other religions teach. Arrogance comes quickly when someone decides that God is what they say it is VS. what the Bible actually says about God.
If universalism is true and eventually all people and even Satan, his fallen angels, and demons will be saved, what was God’s purpose in creating Adam and Eve? So Cain could murder Abel and cause their parents immense grief? God would be considered a sadist. Since Abel’s death, billions of humans have died from natural aging, illnesses, accidents, and murders. Why allow humans to experience pain and suffering?

I’m studying for my PMHNP and it took me a long time to go down this path because I was afraid of doing something ungodly. I changed my majors several time because of it. I did seek counsel regarding this from a godly person and I realized I could do this if I kept God at the center. There are people with severe psychiatric disorders that really need help.
We need people whose world view is not just secular. I needed counseling and had difficulty finding someone who understood how important my faith was to me. May God be your guide and counselor.
Going to a Christian counselor was the best thing I've ever done. We all could use a third party insight and we have so many traumas living on earth.
I come from a family full of trauma and mental illness and addiction and I know that many many people could use help from Godly people in the mental health professions. I think it’s a good choice to pursue that and I’ll be praying for you! 💖🙏🏻✝️

Re #14: I definitely used to read scripture as though it was all being spoken directly to me. It was nice while I was just reading the encouraging things, but as soon as I got to Old Testament judgement prophecies, I got such intense anxiety and existential dread thinking, “is this for me too?” No. It’s not. If you want direct and specific council for yourself, seek out godly counselors and friends. Don’t just apply scripture willy-nilly whenever it “feels” right. There’s a reason God gives us counselors and teachers rather than just the written scriptures alone

The last question I can really relate to and I want to start by saying I 100% agree with your perspective, Pastor Mike.
I’d like to add my own. As a child my parents never made me feel worthy of their love. I was made to feel completely worthless and basically the biggest mistake my parents ever made. Nothing I ever did was good enough for them. I tried to be good enough for them and failed every single time. I still would fail if I were to try today. They damaged me for many years. Praise God for healing the trama of my childhood.
So when I hear people use the term you are enough and you are worthy I associate those with you are worthy of love and you are enough. From an earthly perspective. A child should never have to earn their parents love and should never be made to feel unworthy of their parents affections.
Of course from perspective of salvation we are not worthy and on our own we are not enough. I just think it’s important to define what the person is referring to.
Am I correct in thinking that if Jesus is fully God, He could have stopped His suffering at any moment? That would mean He willfully chose to suffer for our sake! What perfect love! Not only enduring suffering, but choosing to endure suffering. This is miraculous love! Praise the Lord!
The scriptural account is clear. Jesus submitted himself to the doing of his fathers' will.
Jesus isn't fully God. He isn't God at all, so he couldn't have stopped his own suffering. Only his father could have done that but since they were both in agreement, the idea is inconceivable.

Great session Mike! I liked how you answered the question about commandments and the rich young ruler. I think also that Jesus told him to sell all and give to the poor and come follow Him to reveal the young man's great sin. The young man who thought he had kept all the commandments had broken the First and greatest commandment. He loved his possessions over God. The young man had also broken the Second commandment in that he loved himself and his possessions rather than his neighbors. Jesus could have said "Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself" but instead He was brilliant in how he revealed the man's true condition.
I loved your answer to the 14th question but one thing I would like to add is that even today some victims of sexual abuse feel shame and blame themselves even though what happened to them is not actually their fault. The shame that Tamar felt when Amnon violated her, many victims of sexual abuse today experience similar shame to that. But any ways great Answer pastor mike and I really enjoyed this Q&A like usual. #8. There are a lot of Christians who get a secular psych or social work degree, and then choose to do both faith-based and secular therapy, or just faith-based. The benefit of getting a psych or social worker degree instead of a divinity type degree is you can bill insurance plans which helps many people afford therapy, you’ll learn a lot more about major mental illnesses and other treatments for when someone is dealing with something that faith-based therapy probably isn’t enough, and you’ll be able to work with people in a lot larger variety of settings.
If you get an undergrad degree in psych you will learn about various theories (like Freud and Jung, which would be very hard to adapt to a faith-based only worldview) but these are taught more as learning the history of psychology and the different theories on how humans develop in healthy or unhealthy ways. Your graduate degree is where you really learn how to apply the current day major forms of psychological intervention, and the two most common are CBT and. DBT, both of which can be applied in a faith-based way or can be used in a secular way in which we can still suggest that our clients really evaluate their spiritual beliefs, process spiritual damage, and explore how re/building a faith practice can help them. So there’s a lot of room to let God use your skills/work for good even if you don’t limit yourself to “Christian counseling.”
I have worked in both types of settings (secular and faith-based), and in private practice I advertise myself as offering faith-based counseling,” but I don’t limit myself to “Christians” or only those looking for “Christian counseling.” God has used me to reach a lot of people who had spiritual damage from past abuse who would have refused to work with me if I had adopted those labels. But once they came to trust that I understood them, and wanted the best for them, and didn’t have an agenda, it became possible for me to cover those deeper hurts/topics.
I don’t see anything in the Bible that would lead me to believe therapy/psychology is evil or to be avoided by Believers because counseling is a normal part of the job duties that religious leaders do already. as to question 1, Jesus does say in one of the gospels to a man who asked what should I be doing, and Jesus said you are to believe in the one God sent. So then later when Jesus gives his command before he goes to the cross saying, if you love me, then love each other. So I see that we are to love God, believe in Jesus and follow his command to love each other. Which loving each other encompasses so much, as Jesus says the highest love to a brother and sister is to die for them.
I love how pastor Mike goes into details of how we glorify God. I never thought of how a flower glorifies God by just being beautiful, and as we are made in Gods image we have a much higher standard to glorify God. Its so true that joy is found when I do every task for God as I dont complain while I work when I do it for God, I know he is glorified when I do excellent work by thinking of him and how this work will bless those who enjoy what ever work I am doing.

Mike, in general I follow your carefully thought out discussions with close agreement, but I differ slightly with one regard. As a young teen I enjoyed night church because it was a time of singing many songs that I loved. However, I remember one sermon on Revelations discussing an admonition against those who would add to the Bible, or take away from it. I found it difficult to imagine anyone arrogant enough to do so. As time has proceeded, I discovere many instances of that from Jehovah's Witnesses to 7th Day Adventists to some "modern" worship churches to the Roman Catholic Church to the Jewish Pharisees and Saducees. As regards to Roman Catholicism, I find the placement of the priest in between the relationship of mankind and God troubling. They seem to emphasize the dying God over the resurrected God with each Mass and take the place of Christ connecting us with God by His sacrifice. I feel like this is an important distinction that leads many Catholics to be confused about the simple way of Christ as the only doorway to God and Heaven. They also, as the Jewish Theologians have a long list of added historical traditions that they view equally as important as Scripture. I feel that was what Paul was warning us about when it was a simple Jewish/Gentile comparison of the early church. I fear that "getting along" with those different thought avenues might not lead to the same Heaven. We should all get along as far as possible, but I think we should also admonish when we place our own thoughts as equal to God's thoughts. (sorry for being so long winded)

I just happen to BE a graphic artist. I am so thankful for the work I do and for the people I work for. I have worked in places where I was not appreciated or treated well. It is hard to pour love into your work when you are working for someone who mistreats you. It is pure joy to work for the people I work for now and I am able to pour love into everything I do for them. It makes an amazing difference. You can try your very best to please, but being able to feel love for your employers is like adding a power booster to your abilities. And I do feel like this is where God has placed me. It really has been a gift.
I am frequently baffled and heartbroken thinking about people who were abused as children, never were able to overcome the pain and psychological issues, and will never be saved. I have to keep going back to Psalm 139:6. Such knowledge is too lofty for me.
Not all of us, ...will never be saved. Abuse is a mild term, torture is more like it. God speaks to us too. The physical scars are still visible but the psychological scars are gone (at least in my case). God loves us too and heals those who don't identify and hang onto their past.

For question #6. I'm a believer my husband is not....he use 2 argue with me about how stupid I was for believing n "fairy tales", reading the bible or listening 2 sermons wud cause so many issues. He even said he would divorce me which I didnt protest to....then changed his mind....I think it was a control tactic.... He knew I was Christian b4 we married and I knew he use 2 be then deconverted in adulthood...we both thought we could sway the other. But instead of trying 2 convience I just lived the truth of christ and loved him despite his state, I read my bible and listened 2 sermons at work(I wrk overnight)....i look at him n sadness bc ik he is not saved BUT I still show the love of christ in Hope he would be some day. 5 years married now he tells ppl I'm the best Christian he knows 😂. Its a miracle bc 5yrs ago he wudve never said anything remotely nice about a Christian. It was really hard but I knew god would get me thru it and it made my faith even stronger.

For the first question I think there is a verse that neatly summarizes the purpose of life. At the very end of Ecclesiastes Solomon says:

Walter Gibson was a magician in the early 20th century, and he wrote a book exposing the magic tricks of Pharaoh's magicians. One I remember reading about was that there is a certain type of snake in Egypt and throughout North Africa that if you pinch it on it's head it gets rigid as a stick, and they used to use them as magic wands. Gibson went through each trick and showed how it could have been done. He then went on to show how Moses out did them on a divine scale that they couldn't match. I wish I could remember the name of the book, but it was really interesting.

Hey Mike! I really enjoy your content. Just fyi, for question 2, Bill Johnson definitely teaches in his books that Jesus laid aside his divinity. He believes and teaches that Jesus wasn't God on earth. Very dangerous teaching. We dug very deep on this to bring to our church that was alligning with Bethel. Scary stuff.
He also teaches that, since Jesus wasn't God on earth, believers today can (and should) do everything Jesus did while here. Except that neither he nor any of his people has managed to raise the dead...

That's exactly what I thought - Of course, God is Worthy and God is Enough! I also think that when people say it (over here at least) they mean God is not looking to us to add anything to ourselves before coming to Him. Maybe what should be said is "we are unworthy and in of ourselves not enough" but God does not need us to strive in works to gain His Forgiveness or Salvation
#7 question this man could make sure everyone he meets he treats them with utmost love and respect and teaches his children to do the same. I think we can do nothing about the past so I don't think he should worry in that sense.

Mike, I'm so glad to hear you describe your view clearly and correctly on the kenosis idea. So many people incorrectly say Bethel, Todd White, and Dan Mohler think that Jesus wasn't God. It's refreshing to hear your willingness to fully understand what they mean when talking about this. Although I'm not 100% on board with all things Bethel, the things I have looked into that are most often criticized are often misinterpreted.
I've often thought of this topic concerning Jesus as if Elon Musk were to lay down all of his finances and go to Africa and have to start all over with nothing and start a new business. Technically he's still the richest man in the world, but he's not doing it as the richest man in the world and utilizing his finances ad the power that comes with them. Obviously, I'm not saying Musk is Jesus, but it's purely a metaphor.

Hi there, after live streams end on TH-cam, while they are immediately able to be rewatched, they are still "processing" in TH-cam's system for a while before they are fully finished. Things like subtitles, live chat replay, and downloading abilities do not become available until TH-cam's system in the background finishes its processing. #3 sounds like someone who has been hiding some sin in their life for a while and it is finally festering and coming to the surface - whether they've always had rage issues but have kept them under control or it could be that it is too hard to keep hiding a sin and so now they are lashing out to misdirect to try and keep their sin hidden.
It seems to me the purpose of this life is simply to determine where you will spend eternity. Once that decision has been made, our lives are without purpose unless we have chosen the Lord, and then we are called to serve Him and bring others to Him.
Yeah I remember when Jehovahs witnesses were knocking on his door and now he's on his 1000th q&a. Mike glorifies God by teaching us how to think biblically and in turn when we think Biblically we glorify God.

Question 19 is one I struggle with all the time. Ever since I started getting exposed to all these different views. Some that seem more biblical then others. I often decide OK I'm gonna follow God and do what I wanna do to honor God then when I go to do those things things happen struggles come and I get scared and retreat.

Struggles will come whether or not you draw near to God. Why not have a place of refuge when they do?

For #7, Cain comes to mind as he both rejected God, but also feared being a victim of someone else’s sin. God graciously marked and protected him from that danger by cursing anyone who might attack even though as far as we know, Cain may have never reconciled with God.
I do love how God actively loved Cain even after his depravity was clear. But my problem lies with how a Christian should understand their sorrow for the suffering when scripture is quite clear they deserve that suffering a thousand fold in the context of a perfect Creator.
It is interesting that Jesus would frequently heal and be compassionate for the afficlicted without always being preoccupied with their eternal salvation in that moment. I wonder if this is relevant. Somehow, for some reason, most of us are wired to have a sense of empathy and justice for anyone who has suffered regardless of whether or not they are "children of wrath".
It's not possible for anyone outside of Christ to Love as Mike describes. It is impossible for it to be their purpose in life to Love and glorify the God they do not know or in fact vehemently deny. I think Mike is such a "nice" guy that he sometimes says things he wishes were true but aren't or can't be.

#9 there was never love shown.I was convinced my mother hated me. We could do nothing right in their eyes. We grew up being discouraged and still have those issues. I know God took me out of this and he saved me but my siblings don't believe in anything and I see their hate in their voices. I can only pray.

At around the 29 minute mark when you were talking about the big Bible thing.
I had a pastor who often mentioned this in his sermons and one day he mentioned it about my Bible (It's a Hebrew-Greek key study Bible with a concordance) and I laughed.
My Bible is big because I want to know as much as possible as directly from God as possible. At no point did I ever even think of it as a large Bible, just that it was one that contained everything I needed to do good, accurate study.
But as you laid out this is about the intent, not the size.
