I enjoyed your video! I'm getting ready for a new build and deciding on which chassis I'll buy. It's between the MDT ACC Gen 2 that is just coming out or the MPA but...your video has me leaning more towards the MDT ACC. It just looks really cool and I like the new features!! Thanks and good luck!
HI Carlos! Thanks for the kind words my friend! One major plus on this chassis is that long rail. I can't tell you how many guys I see with other chassis who have had to spend another $200 or so to extend that rail. I've also had ZERO issues with magazine feeding with this chassis. And the weight system is excellent...Expensive, but excellent. Thanks for watching!
@@The4GunGuy not to drag this chain on but, the MDT ACC also just looks cool! I mean, it's a sweet looking chassis and the cool factor is huge! I've seen guys go on and on about the MPA Matrix but I just can't like the looks of it. To each his own I guess.
Any thoughts on bedding a MDT chassis? I have a 6.5 CM savage axis II Precision, it came in an MDT chassis, accuracy isnt great, have witness marks in several areas of contact between action and chassis
Hi Hammerback972! I don't bed my actions but some I shoot with do and swear by it. I'm actually changing to the MPA Matrix Pro chassis due to a number of reasons, but the ACC is still a great chassis. Thanks for watching my friend!
Two points to add to your video ! 1) MDT is 100% Canadian and is slowly catching up 2) You touched on the external weights but also there are 5 internal weights that can be installed when the rifle is fully assembled by just removing the small end piece and inserting weights and screwing them in from underneath . Oh and the service with MDT is excellent people.
@@xxxterpxxx first they are $40/lb which with a heavy calibre is very very useful to help with recoil and it's great to be Canadian because I'm Canadian. That help ? I did say to add to the video !
I have two MPA BA chassis. The only thing I wish was different is a knob to adjust the buttpad up and down instead of screws just like on the DD or ACC.
S F, I wonder if the adjustment knobs for the ACC would work on it? You can check out their website. Also might check Home Depot in their specialty screws drawers.
Thanks James!! I have another video coming out talking about the ACC for CZ rimfire and my review of that is NOT good. MDT made a big mistake on that one, but I still love their products. Thanks for watching my friend!
Great video. You touched on rarely mentioned information. I was wondering how the stock configuration especially about how it sits on a bag and what you do with your non-shooting supporting hand had anything to do with that stock design versus others? My local range has a strange bench set up where the right side of the bench extends out a little further than all the rest of it upfront and I found myself not liking the big empty space that my oryx chassis has in front of the stock and behind the grip
Hi RPK! First, thanks for watching my friend! Now, I see guys running the stocks with $200 ARCA extensions so they can get that long rail out front, I don't need to do that. Second, I do admit that the stocks out there (see my review of the Manners TCS stock that I used for ~2 months and went back to this ACC) have gotten wider at the rail and therefore sit more stable on the bag. But you've learned from this video that I like the ability to either use or not use accessories/attachments as I need them, which again is why I like this setup...If I want a wider "base" on the chassis, I simply add either my homemade ARCA plate (did a video on that too...under $30 bucks!) or my more expensive Grayops mini plate pro. On a tire? THIS long arca rail allows my bipod to reaches across that tire using my less expensive Accu-Tac and not needed a $1,000 MDT Skye pod. So, using a bag I can either use a plate or not use a plate depending on the stage and the prop. My non-supporting hand is either on top of my scope to steading the rifle, or, I'm into 3-D printing now and printed a thumb rest that screws right onto the chassis (see that video for more info). Hope this all helps RPK and shoot straight!

I agree about the weights. You're almost $500 invested not including the shipping or taxes in just waits for the front. If you run all the weights
😮 my goodness!
