      I'm so sorry to hear that, any sort of operation on the back is a very difficult recovery! Just to check, you're feeling in a lot of pain after having acupuncture? Who did the acupuncture for you, was it a Licensed Chinese medicine practitioner or an Osteo/Physio/Chiropractor?

    Got acupuncture for the first time today by Master Choi, on Yin side, and I cried. Cried on the table mid session and after. At one point water just kept flowing from my eyeballs! Personally I’ve been on a 2 year journey learning and working with my energy body, adding acupuncture is the cherry on top 🌹

    I recently started acupuncture for stress/anxiety that had caused a hormonal imbalance with my thyroid (yes, stress makes us sick!) I had been treating it with traditional western medicine aka drugs and was sick and tired of having the symptoms "controlled" but not cured.
    Acupuncture has helped waaaay more than a year of medical treatment, believe me! I also do reiki.
    Anyhow, without fail after each acu treatment I feel lightheaded, and 24 hours later, I cry and cry for no apparent reason. It's a fantastic emotional release!!

    I had my acupuncture appointment at 1.30-2.30 today. Later in the day, I started feeling frustrated that my neck was hurting where a needle was, and worried that the settings were too low during the appointment and then I just started crying for no reason in the evening. So glad to know it’s normal but god I hate it when people see me cry 😂 why did the emotional reflex kick in later and not right after the appointment?

    It would be interesting if I were to laugh afterwards (recovering from burnout and breakdown).
    I usually feel really tired, yet I feel calm and optimistic.
    Yesterday, I walked 45 minutes home after my session because I just needed to move my body and settle the qi.
    Today, am tired and my sinuses have blocked again, but hopefully doing some tai Chi wil help me to balance out. Muscle soreness as well.

    I've recently started acupuncture treatment for Depression and stress. I've already gone twice in the past two weeks, and I've been feeling a lot more sensitive and emotional, however it did not start on the treatment table. It started two days after the last treatment. Could it be related to the it?

      Hi Emily,
      Thank you for sharing your experience, everything you’re experiencing is perfectly normal.
      The response to treatment often takes a couple of days to take effect, feeling sensitive & emotional is understandable if you’ve experienced stress and depression.
      Don’t give up on the treatments, your body is responding & I would expect things to even out after 4-6 treatments! If you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch, my socials are in the video description to contact me directly…😁

    I'm being treated for cervical vertigo after a few needling sessions my muscles in the neck region felt sore tight and just horrible. My therapist reckons it's normal due to energy channels being activated and should subside in a few days. Is this accurate?

    • @ABetterPace
      @ABetterPace  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes this is quite a common occurrence, very often it takes the body a few days to adjust to what the treatment is asking it to do. Try using a hot water bottle on the area to reduce the tension and see if this qi gong stretching routine, a couple of times a day, helps…😁

    • @ABetterPace
      @ABetterPace  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Linda, sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling great. It can happen sometimes for people who have autoimmune conditions or chronic fatigue.
      There is also the possibility of being over treated, this is when you’re trying to do too many things at once & the body doesn’t have the resources available for what you’re asking it do.
      Sometimes it could be a system reset, the treatment has reminded your body how it actually feels, without the aid of quick fixes. This is common for people who have been burning the candles at both ends for too long!
      Without knowing more about why you went for treatment, how the practitioner diagnosed & treated you and what your lifestyle looks like it’s had for me to say why this happened…
      Get more rest, drink plenty of fluids & get in touch with your practitioner if it persists…
      Hope you feel better soon 😁

    • @ZoeiiZiZZles

      Hmmm that sounds intense, not something I’ve come across before. It sounds like it’s possible the muscles went into spasm after the treatment which isn’t very common at all! • @ABetterPace
      @ABetterPace  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ruta, so sorry to hear that you're struggling with dizziness & vertigo & that it seems to be worse for the couple of days after treatment. It's not uncommon for this to happen when dealing with conditions that affect the head/vision as it is the start and end point of several channel systems. Next time try to massage the sole of your foot by gently rotating a golf ball or use a thumb, there is a great point, called Kidney 1, that is quite effective at descending any symptoms focussed on the head. Hope this helps & thanks for getting in touch...😁

    Why have blood after accupanture???

    • @ABetterPace
      @ABetterPace  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeron, thank you for your question! Acupuncture points are mostly located away from major veins and arteries or the guidance for needling depth takes into account the vessels beneath so is therefore very safe when practiced by trained professionals. Sometimes though it is possible to catch a micro vessel like a capillary & this can cause a minor bleed from the puncture area or underneath the skin. In the majority of cases this results in a small bruise but can be more serious if there are complications because of a health condition or medication that thins the blood. This is why most practitioners will take a thorough case history before working with a client to identify any potential red flags of using needles for treatment. Hope this makes things a bit clearer for you, thanks for watching 😁

    I heard Acupuncture shouldn't be done straight away after food, why is that? and how long should I wait after food before getting the treatment.Thank you.

    • @ABetterPace
      @ABetterPace  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Iman, thank you for your question! I honestly haven’t heard of this before, perhaps it’s a rule of a particular practitioner as the only thing I can think of is that it will affect some of the diagnostic techniques we use. It can change the nature of the pulse and the tongue which are key areas used to work out what’s happening internally.
      I always recommend that people shouldn’t come for treatment on an empty stomach as this can increase the risk of having needle shock, a very rare but uncomfortable side effect. If it is a requirement of your acupuncture practitioner to not eat before treatment I would say that leaving a 1-2hr gap would be sufficient but it’s best to check with them first!
      Hope this helps & thanks for watching 😁
