100% accurate I had open headers and 5 in of lift on my f150 never got a ticket I had a 10 inch lift kit with 38 inch boggers on my Jeep Comanche no beds built straight for the river and I drove it to school and never got a ticket

In Arizona, Underglow is completely legal so long as you don’t sport blue or red or rotating between the 2. Which is bulls*** in my opinion.

Double clutching is 50 State legal and required by DOT....for Commercial vehicles. That lasted me about a week before I started floating gears lol (shifting without a clutch) Outside of certain old cars where its actually required, I don't see the point of Double Clutching.

That’s a ticket for operating a vehicle with broken suspension or other safety item like brakes.
On the exhaust mods... I hope you know that each state has it's own set limit to when emission inspections are no longer necessary. For example, in North Carolina, if your car is 20 years old or older, your emission inspection is void, allowing you to do whatever the hell you want with the exhaust. Each state is different, so check the laws for your state.
NC inspection depending on the location does not inspect the exhaust, however the inspection process does a visual check to see if it's there. So a cat delete that mimics the look of a cat may pass visual inspection and be "fine", they are just not going to test it.
The reason the radar detector laws are convoluted is because a radio receiver is governed by the FCC, a federal agency, rather than the local state. A state can not regulate a radio receiver as it is not within their constitutional jurisdiction. As such, the laws banning such devices are convoluted to circumvent the constitutional limitation.
What they CAN regulate is the use of devices while operating a vehicle, which is what most states ended up doing
@@nicholashodges201 To do that, they would need to ban all radio receiver type devices. They do not have the authority to ban the reception of only specific frequencies. As soon as you decide which frequencies are banned to receive, you are no longer banning just the use of a device, but are regulating specific radio frequencies, which is outside of their jurisdiction.

I run premix total loss oiling with a VRO pump and any 572 CID converted poppet valved 2 stroke oil at a WOT at over 8200 rpm, Not much rpm compared to its 4 stroke version. A ported 2 big block 2 cycle can run much lower rpm than a modern 2 stroke with runs 32:1 at richer premix and will not burn up even thought the light duty high poppet valved loop charged hemi 2 stroke hemi requires me to burn more oil at 32:1. This poppet valved 2 stroke loves a higher rpm with a metering pump derived rpm an RX-7 annd a good smack in the ass now and then, She Hates Klots but loves silkolene as she is a temporamental nut that craves attention, i just giver her what she needs at 8400 rpm or more, i learned to live with poppet valved loop scavenged scavenged 2 stroke! My girlfreinds POS masada she has on amsoil dominator and thinkds that is the best, it is at times but boy its can be costly filliing her up, EMD and Detroit 2 cycle shell rotella anyone.Ugh my 8v92 drinks some low ash 2 stro0ke oil, Its a black hole.

One thing I don't like is the ultra super bright lights even when they're in the dim mode and in blue color is even worse , and people who don't aim the headlights the right way instead of all over the road that's just stupid , same with the hyper white lights if you're going to use them in them properly and don't aim them up towards other drivers specially oncoming drivers ,and it's been known that some drinks drive in to lights .

Excellent ideas! I love my 1964 Mustang for that reason. Also had '64, '65 and '69 Chevy trucks, '73 Dodge truck and '66 Beetle. No smog laws or other things like airbags and shoulder belts. Another vehicle that tends to escape many laws-motorcycles. My Harley is a 1999 but no cat on the exhaust or other such equipment.
20 years older than model year are emission exempt in Georgia. We have some weird laws here. And he needs to look at the lowrifer laws again. They are not on the books. We have lift laws though 32" from bottom of bumpers to ground.

that mostly depends on the state and county. here in Texas you'll see a lot of pickup trucks with light bars all over the place. as longs as they are not using them while driving down the road police don't fuck with them. Also another note about the whole loud stereo. The rule of thumb is if the car next to you can hear it then it is too loud. Just use some common sense really. If you are in a neighborhood turn that crap down. If your flying down the highway no ones gonna give a damn..
Depends on the state. VA tried to ticket me for a light bar. However in my state, you can have them uncovered and even on as long as they're even or below the headlights.
Hell around here you can drive around with no tail lights, no brake lights, and glazed over headlights, and the LEOs won't even bother pulling someone over, but if you have a sportscar, muscle car or loud exhaust they'll bug all day, even though the Harley's going by have drilled out baffles or no mufflers.
Racing Psychosis yeah it’s the same everywhere with the motorcycles without mufflers or resonators. The LEO’s just won’t ticket them because it’s likely they own a bike without noise suppressors either.
I wish someone would enforce the light bar thing. I don't know about covering them, but down here in the deep south they ride around at night with them on, effectively blinding oncoming traffic. I am not cutting anybody off or anything but I would be if I used them more. I use them on single lane roads with someone behind me. Nitrous cannot turn anyone or anything into a giant Barbecue. Nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidising agent ONLY under high temps and pressures. As someone who has used it for many years (and used to provide refills to people going to the local "Santa Pod"), I can say as a statement of fact, it is not only NOT flammable but you can even use it (in an emergency) instead of a CO" extinguisher. Albeit a terrible waste of nitrous.
So, whatever the real reason is, one thing a cylinder of nitrous will NOT do, is to be a fire hazard to anyone. An explosion risk if the relief valve has been defeated and the cylinder is heated massively - potentially yes.
Wait if its not flammable then how does it burn in the engine? If its like a co2 extinguisher wont it extinguish the engine.....?
Good question. The nitrous oxide when subjected to very high temps and pressures DOES break down into nitrogen and oxygen (two parts nitrogen, one part oxygen), the oxygen then allows the ADDITIONAL fuel that is injected in along with nitrous to burn. Meanwhile the nitrogen both limits the flame front speed AND also cools the charge ready for combustion too.
The reason we do not inject oxygen into the engine instead of nitrous is that the flame front is then WAY to fast and instead of getting controlled combustion, you get detonation. By happy chance, nitrous oxide is and excellent way to force in extra oxygen along with the extra fuel.
But to recap - the nitrous oxide will not break down into its component parts except under high temps (over 300C) and pressures. Other than that, it can indeed be used to extinguish flames - though not exactly an approved extinguishing device :) Remember that when nitrous comes out of the cylinder, the refrigeration effect tends to drop the temp down to around -75C that along with chasing away the air, will put out most "oily rag" type fires instantly.
Air is about 21% oxygen, N2O is rather more (there is one oxygen atom per two nitrogen atoms). You are spot on with your comment about lower octane fuel pre-combusting though. Most nitrous cars tend to use eith er a dual fuel supply (regular on all the time but then the additional injector for a "wet" nitrous kit being perhaps a mixture of regular petrol and also toluene.
Mind you, a lot of folks forget that nitrous oxide works BRILLIANTLY well in diesel engines too - and diesel engines are stronger by design so there is even more of a safety margin when it comes to cylinder head pressures etc.

It doesn't burn at all. It's an oxidising agent. You need to add both nitrous *and* more fuel - if you just add nitrous you'll end up with way way more oxygen than you need for the fuel, making the engine run lean and damaging it.
Can I just say, the US is very lenient in terms of modification. Those complaining should see how restricted we are in Australia.

In Europe, most of those are even more strict. For example - tinting windows allowed only up to certain % and also omly rear windows. After done it must be "checked" and lets say certified/approved (you receive paper). Lowering/lifting the car.. Not allowed - if done, vehicle check and aporoval/certification necessaey etc (first review of technical papers of the installed parts (if they are suitable for the car and have been approved (TUV) and then car check by authority). Always aditional cost. Therefore this clip does not sound that problematical :)

I know of over a dozen trucks that got tickets for rolling coal and missing cats and Dpf filters. Fines of 10k to 35k. Yes it does happen. And it is illegal to sell a vehicle missing emmissions on later models. Dealership got busted for a 2005 F250 6.0 no egr and cat.

No you can't. All 50 states have federal smog laws. In Cali, it's a felony to modify it. Just becasue you don't have smog checks, don't mean you wont get a cop that knows the laws. Here in Cali, you have modified exhaust, you might get stopped and have the cop crawl under ur vehicle to see what you have modified. Missing smog or CATS....felony, and then he gives you a writen invitation to visit a california Smog referee.

I've had a red-to-green start at intersections with one of those "rolling coal" next to me.
Him: 4WD pickup truck, size of a F250, probably a 5- or 6-liter V8.
Me: an in-line 4-cylinder 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine hooked up to a CVT transmission with manual paddle over-ride.
In TWO starts (not just one), I managed to get 1.5 car-length ahead of him by the time I stopped accelerating. Probably ~35mph by that point; I had just switched from 1st to 2nd gear ratio on my CVT in both instances.
It was fun getting the pickup truck guy all worked up. 😁 (And yes, he was really trying. If he wasn't expecting it on the first one, he was REALLY trying on the 2nd one - you could hear from the way he rev'ed his engine on the start.)

Here in Portugal, almost every streetracer wannabe drives a diesel car. Mostly Seats, VWs...they use them because they come turbocharged from the factory, and they can just chip or tune them. Generaly 1.9L engines.
When they start making some power, upwards of 200hp (yeah, we don't have big meaty v8 everywhere here), they start making A LOT of smoke.
There are the ones that do it just because they think it's cool, but the actualy fast ones also make a lot of smoke. It's not a choice, if you want to go past a cwrtain level, you will roll coal.

But I changed it to a real dually pickup bed, got tired of little rocks slung around from the tires sticking out.
I've once heard about a type of custom made carburetor that can increase gas mileage up to about 80 to a hundred miles per gallon. And if it really exists, then that would be made illegal too as gas and oil companies would take a huge hit if every car had one.
My dad knew a guy from the 1950s his car then got 12 mpg then with his carburetor he was getting over 50 mpg here in Canada 🇨🇦 . The oil company found out took everything. But the old prototype he got that working then forgot he had it then he was gone. Strange but true.

i can say that i live in georgia and they do not care if you lower or lift your vehicle. ive been riding with a 6 inch drop for years without any problems. ive seen others ride so low they scrap the pavement throwing sparks. and well if you get cause throwing sparks then you get ticketed for destruction of public property

A lot of these things aren't actively enforced. For example, in Florida it is illegal to modify an exhaust system in any way, or for a diesel to emit visible emissions for more then a few seconds. But cops usually don't care. Unless you run into that one cop that didn't get any that day, so because their day sucks, yours is going to also.

Because of all the emissions crap, I switched to vintage vehicles. No cat cons, no computers or any kind of electronics, no emissions devices of any kind. Also no ABS or airbags or safety bumpers. My '64 Fairlane is so old that seatbelt laws do not apply to it. I call it my freedom car. I wouldn't do it, but I understand the rolling coal thing. If it weren't for the EPA NAZIS, I doubt anybody would do it.

In the 80s I took the 260v8 out of a 62 fairlane and replaced it with a 351 Cleveland. A hacksaw made some clearances on the stock exhaust manifolds and a sledgehammer was used on the shock towers and then jumping up and down on the intake manifold to make it fit. Added duel exhausts and 3 speed replaced the 2speed LD tranny. If you didn't keep your foot on the brake min speed was 65mph . custom throttle linkage was a bit rough idle a bit high. But it could smoke the rear tires like no other 62 Fairlawn in the state. Shortly after the police impounded her . I hate cops.
Nothing illegal about that car except about 50 unpaid citations in the glove box. Loved that car motor fit so tight the rubber motor mounts felt like solid ones the car was loud and at idle the ford shook like a washer with an unbalanced load . didn't turn or stop worth a damb but it sure would go. Young and dumb in a home made rat rod with fins. Life of a teenage out law. life was great. Then you get old and drive a Toyota. (With a cam with Lil bit bigger bumps) still smogs clean with two cats on the pipe.🙈😇

Sadly, more than half of the modifications you cited should never be illegal because the excuses that created the regulations are to restrict changing the vehicle and to increase revenue generating opportunities for the government that are definitely not morally correct in any type of ethical argument. The best way to change the laws is to make executions financially painful and labor intensive. There are too many nosy nobodies that think that their moral judgments must apply to everyone on the planet and that is wrong on so many levels.

Nitrous oxide is not flammable, in the state that it is used in automotive applications. In fact, due to it's very low boiling point and the pressure it's contained under it's actually more likely to put out a small fire

If you live in California, or another state that follows their strict emission standards (CARB), most aftermarket air intakes and cat-back exhausts are illegal because they are not CARB certified. I thought he was going to discuss more on this in the video but sadly it's just clickbait material.
The lighting part they didn't even go over why certain lights are illegal. Certain color lights need to be visible from specific angles, while other colors may not be used at all or only visible from the one side, like how red can only be used for taillights and rear turn signals on non emergency vehicles.

Technically stock intakes on vehicles now are cold air intake. Also they can provide enough air to feed an engine more than what it's power is rated at. Really they are just a waste of money for a small "claimed" improvement.

I agree totally, nitrous by itself is not flammable, but it is a very strong oxidizer. Like oxygen, it makes stuff (fuel) burner faster and hotter. The pressurized cylinder can explode if it gets too hot, and a broken line in a fire will make it act like someone is pouring jet fuel on. Big danger for fire personnel.

I had two older Dodge vans with the 360 engine and stock four barrel carb, a well known fuel hog. Dodge IMO had crap carbs, thank god they discovered fuel injection. However changing the single exhaust to dual gave a 20% increase in mileage without even changing the stock headers. Now of course you would have to deal with the catalytic convertor making this more expensive.
