  • This video is a step-by-step comprehensive guide to setting up your Tentsile Flite+ 2-Person Tree Tent from start to finish.
    The Flite+ is our ultralight two-person tree tent. It is the perfect size for backpacking and adventuring deep into the wilderness. Featuring a cross brace for extra headroom, the Flite+ is that little bit more spacious than its predecessor.
    It also comes with only one small ratchet to save on weight, and its handy size means Flite+ can be set up between most tree configurations - even in dense forest.

    I have the UNA and bought it last year on a portage trip, lovedddd it super fast to set-up. The difference from what I did to what he has done is The ratchet I used it on the bottom/feet end.. just made more sense to me. worked out no problems. I noticed something that this VIDEO DOESN'T explain about the FLITE is underneath in the middle is another strap.... that's for the tension between the two sleeping areas so you can either sleep together or separate..

  • @austinjgregg
    @austinjgregg 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just thinking, with only one point of tightening (the one ratchet), wont that cause the entire tent to be pulled in one direction and not spread properly? In order to get an even distribution of the tension, I would assume you need two points of tightening with only one static point?

  • @Jeremysfl78

    You guys recommend setting up the trillium/stingray this way (straps) like if trying to save some weight

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We would recommend using all three ratchets for our larger Tree Tents and Giant Hammocks, such as The Trillium, Stingray and Connect. Its just not possible to get the right tension otherwise.

    I like the idea, looks great, but I do think they are over priced. I would like to try 1 before I invested in 1

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a reason for the price-tag - when using gear that suspends you up off the ground it's important to make sure it's top quality. There are cheaper imitations out there, but safety is paramount. Check our website for locations where you can try one for yourself - www.tentsile.com/pages/tentsile-experience-camps

    Do they make a underquilt for the Flite+ ? The reason I'm asking is because even at 70 Degrees its gets to be uncomfortable when laying on a nylon fabric.

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, We do not have an underquilt as such but we do have the SkyPad camping mat which has a grip bottom to avoid slipping and provides great insulation: www.tentsile.com/collections/accessories/products/skypad-camping-mat. You can also put a T-mini hammock under the Flite+ with pads to create another layer of insulation in the night and an extra chill out spot in the day :D.

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi PJ, underquilts of this size are really expensive. If you want us to put you in touch with a company that can make you one, please do email us: info@tentsile.com

      We're sorry you feel that way, but we do have giveaways and sales from time to time so that more people can have the Tentsile experience.We like to think the quality is reflected in the price. Plus for each tent purchased we plant 3 trees :).

    • @rogerkomula8057

      Not compared to a Hilleberg tent, which btw, I also want. Just ordered a Flite+ which is a quarter of the price. But enjoy Walmart's fine selection.

    There are lots of arrogant buttholes making rude comments about everything under the sun online and I don't want to be yet another one but.........finding 3 trees perfectly distanced from each other to make this tent work seems about as likely as finding a 4 leaf clover!

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, It can be difficult at first but you soon get the eye for it :). Plus it is possible to add an extra strap to the set up to improve the set up. Check out the videos on our website www.tentsile.com.

    Isn't it better and more practical just a regular hammock?? .. the odds of finding 3 trees at the right distance is very difficult even a a regular park

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to regularity. Just 3 trees less than 90 degrees from each other.
