Seen a few episodes of this show & is really entertaining & still stands up well. David Janssen was a class act & sorely missed.

This series was really good David Janssen was great especially as he was so young he would have made a great comedy actor I'll never understand why he didn't make it as a huge film actor but we have The Fugitive and Harry O I'm so grateful for that always loved sadly missed xx

He wasn't a character actor but he was often an "undercard actor" with the exception of the three series in which he started.

David Janssen really was the best choice to bring RD to the TV...he could have played James Bond

He was in the 1953 3-D film House of Wax, originally billed under his birth name Buchinsky, later changed to Bronson after he became famous

Ma - 'Daniel, you're looking mean again ' - Charles Bronson - 'Aaaw Ma!' - priceless - this is a really humorous show, all of them! After The Fugitive, DJ never seemed to get a 'comedy' part again...he was never really happy about that, according to Michael J Phelps, his mate.

Bronson and Janssen should have teamed up for a picture later on.

Does anyone remember, well when I say remember I mean ever listen to Dick Powell doing radio plays as Richard Diamond Private Detective. You can listen to them on TH-cam Lux radio or Old Time Radio, I have listen to them for a long time and they are extremely entertaining and still have the advertising ads in between, quite shocking I mean a smoking song for Camel cigarettes Wow. But Powell is an accomplished actor, he was the first actor to portray Phillip Marlow on the big screen. The show was produced by by Blake Edwards it doesn't take it self to seriously but that is on of its strengths. You will be hooked after the first one.

Yes Today is the 40th Anniversary of the Death of David Janssen.
This was his FIRST of the FOUR TV Series he acted in .
In THREE of the TV Series he played Investigators yet the one series he did not play a private eye was the one he was most famous for .
This was the Fugitive Doctor on the run from the law.

So fucking unnecessarily violent, law enforcement as it's depicted in America. The routinely shoot the guy they only want to correct so that he will finally (learn to) become a model citizen! Even wards and guards working in their institutes of Correction. Childish and regrettably they have inspired all kinds of 2nd tier places to start acting that unfriendly cause they erroneously thought that was a way to go!
