I always wondered if Portland was considered a major city but alot of people say its not and these people are from Chicago,Boston,Los Angeles,Houston,San Diego,New York,Seattle, and San Fransisco.Oh yeah and also Denver.Well those 9 major cities are humongous compared to Portland.I can see why people say that because they are city slickers 😂 Me myself am a city slicker too from Dallas.Portland don't compare to those 10 major cities. But in the future hopefully Portland can eventually become a major city only time will tell.

Actually, the city of Portland is 90% the size of Seattle and 80% of San Francisco. The CMSA is about 3.3 million, which means it clocks in at #19 on the list of the largest markets in America. A recent study also found that it has the 12th worst traffic congestion in America.

Of all the cities I've lived in, I think Portland is the one I miss the most. By Salt Lake City standards, there's no real summer or winter in the Rose City, it feels like spring and fall all year. It's definitely not a place for sun or snow worshippers, but I liked the fact that the rain was so light that nobody used umbrellas, and I could ride my bike all year!

Portland is actually a pretty large city. It's not that much smaller than places like Denver or San Diego (metro wise).

@@benkizer9509 You are probably from Portland,Oregon right? But I don't know because Denver and San Diego are pretty big cities that are well known. What about Indianapolis can that city be put on the same category list of major cities in the U.S. like Denver,San Diego, and Portland(which I'm going by what you said) or is Indy not major?Alot of people don't consider Indianapolis a U.S. major city because it's kind of small.Other people say its a major city but most people say its not what do you think about Indy?

I looked it up, and Indianapolis' metro area is 35th largest compared to Portland at 25th. The Portland area has almost a half million more people than Indianapolis. Indianapolis has a consolidated city/county, so it's bigger than Portland, Seattle, or San Francisco if you measure it that way, but that doesn't really matter much.

Its always suspicious when the only people you see supporting the idea of moving to Portland, are doing it becuase of finacial insentives. Can any body share with me any videos on moving there by people who are NOT looking for clients?? Thanks very much!

Thanks for watching! If you have specific questions or just want to talk about living here, get in touch at info@thehometeambrokers.com. I’d be happy to remove my Realtor hat and discuss further. Your suspicions are warranted, but we’re not trying to convince anyone to move here…
