Several years ago, the UP set out one of those TRE coaches in McNeil yard for some unknown reason. It sat there in our way of switching for 3-4 months. There were many instances where we had to couple to this enormous coach car to do our switching. The thing we had to remember as was stenciled on the side of the coach car: DO NOT COUPLE TO DOUBLE SHELF COUPLERS. And what is the majority of our traffic we handle on the LNW? Tank cars. It made putting our outbound trains together challenging.
you should definitely check out the 24 hour event if you ever have the chance, its pretty fun! with that being said, im surprised you didnt see the patched Soo Line SD60 while you were at Hodge
Technically those engines are rebuilt SD60M locomotives not SD70 locomotives recently FWWR acquired 5 of these from national railway equipment with a trading back 4 locomotives which were two of their SD40 locomotives and the two NRE Genset engines with the lease expiring strangely enough the Gensets or sitting in Gainesville Texas as they were set off of the northbound train taking the lashup back to the NRE facility in Illinois
Appreciate y’all watching! Be sure to stick around for the teaser at the end of the video!

Are the Texrail units Stadler built, with the power pack in the middle?
how did you get in the FWWR yard for these shots?
At 4:23 that bridge is not set correctly. It should not have that space. With vibration it wall fail.
How so?
