Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet and was watching Spider-Man and said "I know what you're thinking of doing, and you'd be a fool." And it shows a panel of Death watching, and Spider-Man just says "so what?" and decks Thanos right in the face and it actually staggers Thanos a bit. No power comic, no infinity stones, just pure proportional spider strength right into Thanos' wrinkled purple chin.
If the whole game's writing was as entertaining as Frank's reaction to being told to go one on one against Thanos, I'd love this story mode. But it's not. So I don't.

Restraz They would've had more time if they reused the MvC3 models for all the recycled characters instead of wasting their time to make new, worse models. They were already reusing every other asset. There was no reason they couldn't have grabbed the still fantastic looking character models too. Thanos' weakness is LITERALLY THANOS. He is his own worst enemy, he literally causes himself to fail. The heros dont have jack, he just fucks up so bad they win and is like "BAAAAH, WHY WONT DEATH LOVE ME, FUCK YOU DEADPOOL!"

I've actually thought about this often since I liked Marvel vs DCs Amalgam universe. For me, I mostly stick to the rivals of each game so Ryu with Wolverine for example, where he could manifest his ki into energy claws and I imagine Akuma being mixed with Juggernaut for a truly unstoppable opponent as well as Ghost Rider with Dante. Also had the Final Fight characters mixed with street level heroes, Haggar mixed with Luke Cage, Guy mixed with Iron Fist and Cody mixed with Daredevil which definetly fits because both have been jailed for crimes they didn't commit and have had a drastic tone shift going from the hero who saves the day to the depressed hero who will anhilate you if you piss them off.
I read the comic Matt is referring to at the 30:00 minute mark. TECHNICALLY he didn't fight Thanos, because Thanos could backhand his skull in, but he was in the room actively twarting Thanos's plans while Thanos knew and tried to stop him, and survived to tell the tale, so that's still a big deal, considering this was a two-parter where the Avengers were already beaten. Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2, I think. Written by Jim Starlin, literally the BIGGEST Thanos wanker of all time (as well as the guy who created Thanos). Spidey wasn't powered up AT ALL, he's just that damn good.

As much as this game’s plot leaves to be desired, I’m glad there’s no “super pill” in this game like there was in Injustice. It just seemed really contrived.

Oh my God.... They could have just had Nero replace Spencer. Cover that "function" that is the only reason that nothing character is even in the game. He's like the Tron 2 protagonist in Kingdom Hearts. Only present as a tie-in to another contemporary piece of media. A bad one.

I've actually thought about this often since I liked Marvel vs DCs Amalgam universe. For me, I mostly stick to the rivals of each game so Ryu with Wolverine for example, where he could manifest his ki into energy claws and I imagine Akuma being mixed with Juggernaut for a truly unstoppable opponent as well as Ghost Rider with Dante. Also had the Final Fight characters mixed with street level heroes, Haggar mixed with Luke Cage, Guy mixed with Iron Fist and Cody mixed with Daredevil which definetly fits because both have been jailed for crimes they didn't commit and have had a drastic tone shift going from the hero who saves the day to the depressed hero who will anhilate you if you piss them off.
The mind stone should let you pause the game once, without penalty.

I read the comic Matt is referring to at the 30:00 minute mark. TECHNICALLY he didn't fight Thanos, because Thanos could backhand his skull in, but he was in the room actively twarting Thanos's plans while Thanos knew and tried to stop him, and survived to tell the tale, so that's still a big deal, considering this was a two-parter where the Avengers were already beaten.
Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2, I think. Written by Jim Starlin, literally the BIGGEST Thanos wanker of all time (as well as the guy who created Thanos). Spidey wasn't powered up AT ALL, he's just that damn good.

Hmmm, out of the three MVCI "toys" shown as thumbnails for this SBFP playthrough, I think X has it the best. They really wanted to give us the Mega Man attention in this game, huh? I mean, X and Zero use the Infinity Stones to save the--, I mean, infect the city with the Ultron Sigma virus, X is the one to give the finishing blow in the end, and Sigma is one of two of the main/primary antagonists, the other being Marvel's Ultron. How cool is that?

Okay. It took a minute but I understand. So remember when they shot the Symbiote monster? Well Tony shot it with the time stone. After the explosion, the time stone showed the convergence origins to Tony. So it actually makes sense, it's just that people probably forgot that Tony used the time stone indicated when Tony blasted green.
