I've been watching you for over 4 years and so happy I found your channel. Y'all not only share delicious recipes. Y'all also make me laugh, smile, snort, and etc. Y'all are a blessing to watch every Tuesday and Friday.
I just dropped by to say that I used to love watching cooking shows on Saturday mornings, but then I got rid of cable TV. At first I was bummed, but now I spend my coffee time watching your videos on Saturday mornings. Your recipes are so good, and I love watching you all get silly with each other! Truly thankful I found your channel. Keep up the good work!
I swear that Steven is so funny! Tell him to go take a nap. I am just cracking up. I love you both to pieces. God bless you. Dub sauce makes it all better. I put it in my meatloaf and burgers. Yum yum.
I also love mushrooms…. I often cook mine in a dry pan to slightly brown the mushrooms then add small amount of olive oil and butter. When well incorporated I add finely chopped garlic cooking for about 30 seconds. Then add a few dashes of Marsala wine to taste. To finish I add an additional a tablespoon of butter to finish. And if you want to take it over the top add heavy cream to taste before serving over your rice or noodles.
On the half used boxes and or bags of pasta in my pantry...YES!! And I love it when you want to throw just a bit of pasta into a soup, for example. Also, every time I open up a new bag of frozen vegetables, I always leave about 1/4 cup in the bag and toss it back in the freezer. When making a vegetable soup you now can add just the right amount of peas, corn, green beans, Lima beans, broccoli, pearl onions or whatever you like.
I love how Stephen's accent gets stronger when he's playing in the kitchen. BTW, those rib sandwiches look amazing. Thanks for making these videos, I really look forward to them on Fridays and Tuesdays.
As for left over dried pastas yes...always have extra and mixed is waaay better than going hungry...I love Steven...to see him truly appreciate his woman's great cooking...plus he is a chef so he knows great food y'all...My hubby Phil is like meh...I get all excited and feel all proud to serve him something I cooked...but have to ask (ALMOST ALWAYS) Is it good? Do you like it? I think he is spoiled... He is also a great cook...but he makes a mess in the kitchen with too many prep containers😂 we love y'all...thank you for being so awesome 🩷
I used to have many opened boxes of pasta in my pantry. One time in cleaning and organizing my pantry, I transferred all those half empty boxes into my empty Tupperware cereal keepers. I have a lot of them from when my kids were little, but they’re grown and gone from home now, and my hubs and I don’t eat cereal. Now I have my four favorite pasta shapes that I always use, stored in cereal keepers, and it keeps my pantry neater and also helps me keep track of when I need to buy more of any particular one. Of course, there’s lot’s of different clear air tight containers that can be used now, and it’s a good idea too! Keeps the bugs out! Those tacos look delicious! Gotta try them! I love Butcherbox too, been getting it for probably 4-5 years. Their customer service is excellent too! I’ve only needed them once or twice, but they are super responsive and accommodating. Great video, Mandy!❤
Steve is a natural in the kitchen! You two are a hoot! 😂😂😂😂 I love the recipes you come up with. It makes weekly meal planning fun again to try new recipes.
HOLY COW!! Mandy the last 2 recipes were FANTASTIC!! I’ll be making them, for sure. I have always done what you do with different pasta’s. They all have the same taste, so why not! 💕🙏🙏
Nice to see a couple who clearly love and support each other. Also, I'm glad that the meat you consume comes from healthy, grass fed and well cared for animals. If it's more expensive than regular, store bought meat and ends up reducing the amount of meat you can afford... well that's okay, on balance, as eating less but healthier meat is also a good thing.
I always keep bags of frozen, chopped green peppers and frozen, chopped onions (found in freezer section of my grocery store) in my freezer as backups just for instances like you had where my pepper or onion isn’t in good shape, or if I find I don’t even have one for my recipe.
@judyp4421 I freeze them from my garden just for this instance. Wash them well and chop / dice / mince whatever you like and put them in an even layer in a reusable freezer bag, and freeze. I do onions, green / red / yellow / orange / jalapeño peppers, etc. It's super easy. You can freeze grocery store produce as well. 😊
@lolacorinne5384 absolutely! It comes in handy so often for cooking and baking. I use my frozen peppers in my breads, too. You just wouldn't want to use them for a fresh veggie tray, as they lose a bit of their crispness.
I just love you and your husband! Ya'll are just so cute and have fun together! You are so right, yall aren't just cooking and sharing recipes, yall are bring joy to the world!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for these videos! As a mom of 4 and Granny of 13, I have never experienced such appreciation for my efforts. Thank y'all for being you!
I am on my third order of Butcher Box and just love it. The Ribeye Steaks are to die for !! So tender! One order we only got steaks !! Loving everything about your show ,keep it up !!
Wow great recipes...the ribs..I did mine in the instant pot....15 minutes..and perfectly done..let em cool..and finish on grill..bones came right out..thankx Mandy for helping me get comfy with the instant pot..❤❤❤
Y’all are kickin it with flavor on ALL of these recipes! These are my flavors. That slaw! I gotta try it! Man I really look forward to trying ALL recipes! Great job choosing recipes this time! (Well ALL the time really!)❤
Those recipes sound Amazing! I will have to try Ribs in the crock pot. Memorial Day I made them in the Instant Pot, that turns out great too. Have a great weekend.❤️
I kinda agree with Steven about the water in the crock pot. Ribs do fine cooked low and slow in a bbq..even in the oven. Lots of natural moisture in the ribs..condensation on lid will drip down. So to compromise, because Mandy is my Guru…I’m going to use 1/4 C water …unless someone can explain why it needs water at all! LOVE YOU!🧀
Luv these recipes….gonna try the cheese steak dinner next week…I keep frozen papers/onions in freezer just in case…..thanks to u both, for the recipes and the laughs❤️
Steven you are awesome! You always have me cracking up with ur excitement! Mandy, yes, I live alone, well I have my cat 🐈 Ainsley lol, anyway I always have multiple boxes of pasta with different amounts in each 😂 It's honestly so hard to cook for jst one person 😢 lol but I try n I love ur recommendations! Have a wonderful day you two!!
The first time I made cheese steak quesadillas (which I saw here😊), I wrote "cheese cake quesadillas" on our menu board in the kitchen. One kiddo pointed it out & I fixed it (so I thought). Turns out I wrote "cheese cake" again. All in all, I "fixed" 3 times (the last time it was pointed out by my daughter's boyfriend) . My kids remind me every time we have cheese steak or quesadillas. 😂
I’m looking for one of your dishes you make with Wood Brothers smoked sausage links. It’s been awhile since I saw it. Think there might have been broccoli in it. Love all your recipes and enjoy your husbands reaction!! Y’all are so cute!! Thanks a lot !!
I can't wait to make the Mc Steven BBQ Rib Sandwich with that Coleslaw! The other Recipes made me hungry and looked so good but then the Mc Steven came along and shot it to the moon, I'm telling ya!! LMBO. Mandy I love you and your family! Steven is a Hoot and a Holler! The way he talks makes me laugh so hard, along with the faces he makes! Girl, You hit the Jackpot when you latched on to him! Your Channel is the best with all the great Recipes you share with us! Thank you so much! I'm getting Ribs from my Butcher today! I've gotta make the Mc Steven BBQ Sammich! Love ya'll. Mandy This is a must try: SCALLOPED PINEAPPLE: 8 slices of bread Cubed ,1 cup melted butter ,2 cups sugar, Mix these ) / 3 eggs beaten ,3/4 cup milk, 1 large can pineapple chunks ,Mix these. Mix 1st ingredients in 2nd ingredients Pour in a greased baking dish bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. My husband doesn't like pineapple unless it's in a pineapple upside down cake.
@@MandyintheMakingGood morning Mandy & Family. You guys are great, enjoy watching your channel. Your husband is crazy but in a good way 💝. My question is, why is it that everyone calls ground beef ' Hamburger Meat '? It's used for more than hamburgers. I've heard that on other channels, not just yours.
Loved Steven's expression when he tasted the taco! These look amazing. While I've never been in the habit of using ground pork a lot, your taco recipe intrigued me so, I will have to try. Same goes for your version of a McRib, which I've never had. Will also be trying the Philly Casserole. 😊😊
My baby backs - you can do the same and put them in the instant pot and when finished put in air fryer to get that crispy yummy. In the instant pot put about a cup of apple juice and a little liquid smoke
Mandy the salt draws water out of the cabbage. This prevents your slaw from being watery. Wow these meals look delicious. Thank you and have a Blessed week.
I love watching your cooking show. I'm a senior on a fixed income I wish I could join the food vendors you advertise. They sound so good. Keep up the good cooking and entertaining!! Gracie too!
Pork ribs in the crock pot are my go to! I always use a dry rub, stand the ribs on end around the edges of the pot. No liquids, they release a lot on their own. Early batches I layered flat and became very greasy from sitting in the juices.
How ironic! I'm making your Philly cheese steak sandwiches for dinner on Sunday. I've been making several of your recipes lately, and my 28 year old son has said that they're all keepers. I'm going to be 65 in November and run dry concerning recipes. You have saved more than one meal. I thank you and my youngest son thanks you. I can't wait to make the rib sandwich 🤤🤤
@MandyintheMaking I had to do the mushrooms, onions, and peppers separately. The oldest can't stand mushrooms. The middle doesn't like peppers, and the youngest and I love it all. There weren't any Hoagie Rolls. But being Wisconsin, the brat buns are almost as big as a Hoagie bun. They were dddeeeellicious!!!
Steven's expressions just crack me up 😄 I am gonna make those ribs but I tell ya they will never make it into a sandwich. I am picturing pairing with some corn on the cob and cauliflower mashed taters 😋 I love ribs. The crock pot is a great way to prepare them. I use sugar free baby ray's 🙂
My OCD does not allow me to use less than a whole box of pasta, lol. We are a family of 3 as well, (plus our own cheese monster fur babies), however I came from a huge family of 8 plus parents and family and friends.. I am unable to cook small portions.... No matter how many times I try.. My brain won't let me portion less than a pound of pasta. 😅. Those tacos looked absolutely amazing and the look on Steven's face and then yours...! 😊 "You done hit me with a double dose cheesecake..." 😂 That's my brain everyday. 😅 That pasta I need to try also! I love how you always utilize what you have and put your own spin on recipes.. Your videos are so relatable! 😊 that's exactly why I've been here for years. Those "McRib-ish sandwiches" have me drooooooling! 🤤🤤 Thank you! I look forward to what is to come! ❤
My mother and now my brother and I make this slaw. We do not add the honey, I am not sure if it was not in her recipe or if she left it out. My brother adds a little fish sauce for flavor. I love Butcher Box! I tried another meat delivery and was disappointed! So back to Butcher Box! FYI the reason for salt on the cabbage is to soften it and for no other reason. It has nothing to do with fermenting! My family came from Germany and Hungary and cabbage is used with most meals. Definitely going to try these and never had ribs. Thx guys. ❣️

Letting cabbage set with salt pulls alot of moisture out and makes for a dryer slaw.

Oh my dear goodness gracious, I always have half used boxes of pasta that I mix together, especially when I’m making a macaroni and cheese or my homemade cheeseburger helper, your recipes look absolutely awesome, I am so excited to try some of them, love you and your family, can’t wait to see what you bring us next
Thank you! :)
I just love your family and the channel
