If you can parry threshers you should try to take on ferryman He is quite easy to kill as a freshie (took me like 2 tries even though I couldn't fully parrys thresher) Though you need to bring either alot of flint materials or have master survivalist as you need to use 4 use of flint each time and there's no guarantee it spawns He doesn't give that big of an xp (gives like 3-4 points without maverick or any buffs on lvl 19) Though if you suck at pvp and don't want void walkers go there as there's no grasp of eylis in boatsmans watch
I had my first encounter with the deep owl and I stared dead at it, unmoving, refusing to move, until a player walked by and it focused on them, then I bolted
I've been playing the game since launch and I don't even know most of the talents in the game, for example, Windwaker is a talent I never found out about despite being a Gale main until I saw it on the wiki two months ago, so I'd HIGHLY suggest going to the wiki even if you think you're knowledgable in most talents and what they do incase. Another tip, PLAY WITH FRIENDS, no matter how good you are if your being ganked by multiple people you'll likely die, and having a friend can help A LOT with grinding and dealing with void walkers who might jump you. Tip for spending echoes, investing into the echo weapons if pretty much useless besides the rapier and guns because the other weapons are just worse, and the guns allow you to use guns without light such as if you're going a med weapon build, also the best way to farm echoes if you don't have adret is to just be a deepbound and use the shrine of order and cook urchin soup with all downsides active.
Just one tip that is missing on the vid: You can get an Axe for free in Etris, you don't actually need to buy it, just talk to the man in front on the house next to the antiquarian, he'll give you an Free Axe To get an Flint is simple, you just need 1x Coal and 1x Rock, that you can get turning left just after entering Erisia, inside of the cave. But to mine those you need an Pickaxe, and you can also get this for free! On the bandit camp, you can get this tool for free just interacting with it right next to the "pit" ( I think that's how it's called on english. )

Ah deepwoken a wonderful game yet this guide reminded me of the time I would stay at etris killing the guards because I couldnt understand how to get to lower erisia
U don't need trainer btw, all u need to do is just go random attunement and u unlock that attunement when making a new slot except for ironsing and shadowcast

I'll be writing this as i watch the video... (NOTE: i'm not a veteran, but i do have some intermediate-level experience and have learned from -lifeless- i mean, very experienced friends) That Shrine of Order can work, but yknow, it will only ever remove 25 points from any given attribute, so, for Audacity, you'd have to deal with having 75 charisma (which may or may not be a good thing, depends on your build). Not necessarily a bad thing, just saying. For the love of GOD, DON'T PICK HAEMOPHILIA! the last time i used it, a single dagger bandit completely drained my blood bar very quickly, it's also a permanent, very impactful flaw. Maverick isn't the best either, it's a +10% exp if you solo an enemy, and if you're skilled enough it helps, but it's 10%, not very significant, and it becomes useless at power 20. Vegetarian is okay, mushroom soup is easy enough to craft, and you can get the Gourmand or Herbivore to compensante for its low hunger and thirst replenishment, *just know that it locks you out from Carnivore, which makes hunger and thirst a breeze to deal with.* My advice, for Flaws, there are a few you should consider. - Simple - slows down progression by a considerable bit, a good flaw for patient players. If you do pick this one, you'll get 2 free boons without the need for a second flaw. It's NOT a permanent flaw, as it can be completely ignored at power 20. - Obvious - makes you easier to spot when NOT CROUCHED. It can cause problems in very wide open spaces, but in general it wont hurt you too much. It IS a permanent flaw though. - Manic - increases sanity gain. Does not increase by much and is only affected by a few sources, effectively a free point. It can also be a useful flaw for builds with Lose Your Mind talent, which increases your damage based on your insanity. It IS a permanent flaw. - Squeamish/Glutton - increases hunger by 2-3% every time you grip/makes you lose hunger and thirst faster. Effectively harmless as long as you don't mind spending more time preparing mushroom soup before expeditions. Carnivore completely negates Squeamish, while the Gourmand talent or Gourmet boon makes Glutton easier to manage. Both ARE permanent flaws. As for Boons... - Scrapper - gain an extra Ace (freeze/burn card) every 2nd card roll. Gives you more control over your build, and allows you to burn more unwanted talents. It is NOT a permanent boon though, and becomes useless at power 20. - Autodidact - gain 3 free investment points every power level. Stacks with Adret's racial buff, totaling +6 points (almost halves work needed to power up). Useful for the impatient, but can also help with restoring your lives if you're 1 investment point away from powering up, and have saved a free point from Autodidact. Just like Scrapper, it becomes useless at power 20. - Survivalist - grants you immunity to Acid Rain, reduces Fall Damage by an arbitrary amount, and makes Parasites from Layer 2 accumulate 33% slower. An useful Boon which works even after reaching max power. Acid Rain immunity helps you to not fall to your death while using a glider, the Fall Damage reduction is niche but welcome, and the slower parasite growth is handy for when you venture into The Depths - Part 2. - Gourmet - increases thirst and hunger replenishment from food. An alright, permanent Boon if you dont have anything else to pick. You spend less time cooking and can last a very long time even with a simple mushroom soup, and can stack to (theoretically) absurd levels with Gourmand and Herbivore. Not worth picking if you plan on unlocking Carnivore, though. As many people have stated, there's no need to buy a Lumber Axe or Flint. You can talk to a man right outside the Antiquarian for a free Axe, and Flint is very easy to craft (1 rock + 1 coal), you can mine it with a Pickaxe (can be found for free in the Bandit Castle/Village) Don't worry about the "assassins", they're Thieves. They're the ONLY enemies that DONT grip you after a down, they'll just steal your money (not a problem this early on). Effectively the same as regular bandits, but they can't parry. Just be careful about your Blood meter dropping too low, as Daggers are really good at bleeding you out. An alternative to entering the Depths city and risking being ganked by a Nautilodaunt, is to run along the walls until you find a high spot next to it. I usually find a tall mushroom, climb up the rocks next to it then keep trying to hop onto the wall. It does need some Agility though, i managed it as low as 13 Agil, becomes piss-easy at high Agility/Passive Agility (from talents). If you don't have enough Agility, you can either find a good samaritan/friend to boost you up (risky due to the high number of fatherless deepwoken players), level up your Agility if you have Ankle Weights. If none of those work, you can head inside the city and look for a few barrels to stack. Other than that, the guide is solid, and i'll probably merge some info here with my current progression strategy, which is slow and boring as fuck. Thanks for making this guide though, i bet it helped quite a few newbies to -waste their lives- i mean, get into Deepwoken properly. One extra bit of info, if you want some serious cash and armour right at the start, i recommend you stay on the lookout for Artifacts, some glowing metal balls floating around in the ocean. You can see them from very far away (If you see some purple circles going up, there's an Artifact). Once you reach one, lift your boat's sail and park it right next to the Artifact, jump off, grab it, DONT DROP IT IN THE OCEAN OR YOU'LL LOSE IT, swim closer to your boat's steering wheel and press E *WHEN IT SAYS STEER*, then take it back to Etris/Isle of Vigils to turn it in at the Bank (Can be found near Antiquarians). You'll gain 200 notes and some experience just by delivering it, and if you sell the useless gear you find, you can easily get 500-600+ notes from a single artifact. You probably wont be able to spend this much early on, so i recommend joining or creating a guild (can be done for 100 notes at level 5) so you can contribute to a Treasury (used to build more rooms in the Guild Base). It's also handy to have access to a Guild Base, as it allows you to safely transport several Artifacts at once, even as a Solo player. (grab the Artifacts and place them on your boat, and once your greed is satisfied, park somewhere and carve the door onto a wall, then carry all the artifacts inside. once back at the Bank, summon the door somewhere close to it and turn the Artifacts in. No, they WONT despawn, trust me) Alternatively, if you have the robux for it, you can create an Alt account to use as a bank of sorts, to store excess notes and good but not great items, which really helps reduce the overall grind for items, materials and money.
Hey, Just wanna know if this is just the overall beginner guide to lvl 20, cause i know there is much much more to this than what you’re showing, i don’t have a problem with it but is lower erisa > song seeker > starswep valley and the other stuff you showed here just to prepare us for the other big things out in deepwoken? If yeah than thanks a ton. I usually did lower erisa then songseeker and went with the starkindred stuff. Too complicated and got wiped, so i’ll prob do this way with my 2 other friends and then attempt starkindred, duke, depths and others.

Was sat in a coffee shop with a coffee watching this tutorial, since I'm still in the process of learning about Deepwoken before I start playing it fully. It got to the "also known as pips" bit at 11:23 and I almost choked on my own laughter because I wasn't expecting something in a game this complex to be called "peeps" You just earned yourself a new sub Sir 😂
(Vital) if you have sekiro and havent played it, play it once you beat the game come back to deepwoken with good ping and you will have an easier time parrying almost everything (trust me this happened to me last year)
Im not gonna lie, im completely new to the game and after watching this I still feel clueless. It felt like you skipped past the "builds" part way too fast considering how important it is to the entire character. I might just be dumb but yea, nice video either way

Nah first mob u should try beating is sharko cus its the easyest of all mobs after sharko comes mudskippers then prob bandits then bandit leader and then rest

my friend gave up on helping me as i was prob annoying me he made a build for me that he was using aswell, where all i remember was he'd lock all of his stats, then get to 55 charisma, then use shrine of order is that good? or should i try to make my own?
First you need plug mouse to your console and bind inventory slots to any button on your controller you like ( i suggest bind First 4 slots to your d pad) You can change binds in settings in game
why theres NOTHING about depths teleport, i died to a fucking underwater yeti that jumped me together with jelly fucking bitchass fish when tried to get some food. i had some stuff a random gave me but i couldn't equip it, gave it a chance after 1 year and putting it back on shelf
if you're truly interested in deepwoken i suggest sticking around and learning more abt the game. i returned after a year or so aswell and death is something you're going to have to get used to.
@@gregerysstuntdouble2992 13 days passed and i already have 70 hours in game, i was malding at the start because everyone i asked who played were just too lazy to show me where to go so i had to go throu guides, and most of them are not begginer friendly. overall deepwoken turned into my main game for this month, and right now i'm at the lvl 10 and all of my progression have been made SOLO, it's truly painfull to fight against voidwalkers that obviously better than you, other players that obviously better than u, i think the voidwalker is a big problem, not that u getting attacked randomly, the game requires you to kill alot of people in order to be voidwalker, and whats the most logic thing people do? they go to lower erisia attack freshies, and you have to deal with it, and one more thing is i just have feeling that every voidwalker i fight against just has tonn of hp, and i don't, which results in being hit 10 times: death

I went to the bandit castle thinking it was like a small place to buy stuff I walked right in and I started getting violent attacked by the leaders

Hey, Just wanna know if this is just the overall beginner guide to lvl 20, cause i know there is much much more to this than what you’re showing, i don’t have a problem with it but is lower erisa > song seeker > starswep valley and the other stuff you showed here just to prepare us for the other big things out in deepwoken? If yeah than thanks a ton. I usually did lower erisa then songseeker and went with the starkindred stuff. Too complicated and got wiped, so i’ll prob do this way with my 2 other friends and then attempt starkindred, duke, depths and others.

Deepwoken came out with console support but it definitely needs polishing I press my touch pad and the cursor turns on but it also opens my inventory
got jumped by 20 mudskippers and then finished by 3 bandits fun game huh
(Vital) if you have sekiro and havent played it, play it once you beat the game come back to deepwoken with good ping and you will have an easier time parrying almost everything (trust me this happened to me last year)
i played sekiro and got worst in deepwoken because i play at 180ms+ so got used to parry in the exact time in sekiro xd
Sekiro is easy compared to deepwoken as we don't have to deal with roblox's shitty servers

How do I use ice abilities on controller?
First you need plug mouse to your console and bind inventory slots to any button on your controller you like ( i suggest bind First 4 slots to your d pad)
You can change binds in settings in game

if you're truly interested in deepwoken i suggest sticking around and learning more abt the game. i returned after a year or so aswell and death is something you're going to have to get used to.
@@gregerysstuntdouble2992 13 days passed and i already have 70 hours in game, i was malding at the start because everyone i asked who played were just too lazy to show me where to go so i had to go throu guides, and most of them are not begginer friendly. overall deepwoken turned into my main game for this month, and right now i'm at the lvl 10 and all of my progression have been made SOLO, it's truly painfull to fight against voidwalkers that obviously better than you, other players that obviously better than u, i think the voidwalker is a big problem, not that u getting attacked randomly, the game requires you to kill alot of people in order to be voidwalker, and whats the most logic thing people do? they go to lower erisia attack freshies, and you have to deal with it, and one more thing is i just have feeling that every voidwalker i fight against just has tonn of hp, and i don't, which results in being hit 10 times: death
