OMG THE CLERIC COSTUME I haven't played D&D since the alpha, and this guide was really awesome, really chill and really easy to follow, you have such a nice teaching way of speaking!
This seems to be the best cleric guide I've found so far. Azadim also has one but I feel like it was more focused on HR sweaty gameplay, while this can apply to all skill levels. I've been playing for a long time but you still had some good points I will take with me in my next adventures. Have a nice wipe!
This is my FAVORITE dark and darker channel to follow. You are doing GREAT work! I would love to see a guide on PVP techniques, dodging, spacing, should I be crouching and looking up? when? Which weapons should I face hug? Which weapons are easy to dodge? When should I try and dodge in their animation? I'd prefer something general before you get into more class guides. KEEP IT UP
Finally, this is the guide i was looking for. Ive went through so many bs guides where they state obvious things but dont show you how to execute them and stay very general without specific stats and examples. This was finally a worthy guide from which ive learned a lot, ill probably watch it a 2nd and even 3rd time to get it all right
I feel like such a sweat watching the fight breakdown but like damn that was really well explained, not a whole lot of jargon just very straight forward!
Thank you for this, I just started and I wanted to learn this class more than the others. Incredible info I appreciate it and please continue to make videos you have my sub sir!
I was using bind when buffball barb was huge. Spam binding the barbarian actually gave our team a chance, usually we could stall out the barbs rage and that made it 1000x easier to kill them
amazing video like all the rest and the previous guide Brother! I'm returning to this game after the hiatus and hearing them trying out the gear lock on dungeons so this was great to see side note: I really hope they give us more melee options, a Warhammer and/or flail would be quite fun to help preach the good word. (and maybe a rope sling or the crossbow to give us a physical ranged damage option. i say sling, cuz that could be offhanded with a melee weapon)
Requiem is an insane perc. Depending on your comp, having the ability to revive , deep in storm, is HUGE for saving teammates after 3rd party’s or even simple mistakes in inferno
I been having trouble surviving hopefully this will help I didn't know about the weapons doing different damage based on where the weapon contacts thanks for that
Good vid, the only thing i didnt agree with is what you said about the perk Requiem. This perk has saved my whole team in storm sooo many times, and yea sure maybe you can heal them as soon as you rez, but sometimes you literally cant. I encourage you to revisit this perk during your team games brother cleric! 😂
I'm probably gonna edit this as i watch more but surely you'd want PFE if you are front lining since it affects so many things, even getting hit you're not going to have as long of a slow. Same with achilles strike or wizard slow etc. Holy aura is also crazy but very much depends on the level of gear everyone is rocking. If you are a plate cleric and have a plate fighter at like full green and above it's worth it due to the way PDR values work. At those values it can be essentially a 20+% effective health difference. I'd argue that protection is more valuable than bless but that's whatever. Bind is something that i've used on base cleric gear in goblin caves, you go and fight near goblin archers and just as they are about to shoot you bind them which does massive damage with the poison.
In the video I made a text note saying I'd run Blunt Mastery over PFE "or Kindness", but I'd probably agree and lean more towards replacing Kindness as a dedicated frontline. I love PFE. I'd also agree Holy Aura is useful at high PDR levels, but I really dislike the glow that can be seen across map easily and the small radius of effect for your allies. I'm happy there are lots of viable perks as Cleric.
Love the guide got me wanting to try cleric and I love it! its now my favourite class to play. Im still not sure what kind of armour setup I should run though.
13:09 This is coming from a less experienced player who mains cleric. What are your thoughts of casting bless on yourself first, then protection/bless on your allies after? My thought process here is that the 3 will increases your buff duration. Love the guide. Much love
I’ve used cleanse in fights to deal with bards din of darkness and bind instantly stops forward movement even when people are in the air so when people jump a gap they fall straight down and the team gets separated, also great for when people are trying to get into portals or against a barbarian using a warmaul
About santuary, i see it more usefull out of fight or against a defensive team and it glorious in a war of attrition or if your whole team is mid to low in hp
Quarterstaff can block as well, I think it's a very underused mechanic as it can mitigate the dmg of just about any melee. I'm not sure about its block power obviously maul will cause you to get staggered especially from a barb with crush😊
I've used it a little bit, but it struggles with horizontal attacks and straight/direct attacks like rapier. Maybe good against barbs or clerics, but I'd be afraid of relying on it in high rank HR.
Thank you so much for the amazing guide! Out of curiosity, is buff duration any good for cleric? I'm a super new player so sorry if this is a dumb question!
What’s your armor preference for solo/team build I’m currently a duo if I don’t play solo. Also would love to see more long videos of you just playing casual matches. Chad face reveal bro
5:30 disagree respectfully. In team play both my friends run heavy Frontline characters. I stack knowledge for cast speed and run resurrect and and I will and have in many cases just straight up rezzed my tm8 in the middle of a fight while my living tm8 holds them off. This brings them up at half and then I can use that same holy light to pick him up to full. Requiem effectively gives one team mate a do-over. Also resurrect sits back fairly quickly so I have in the past ran and then circled back to rez both of my tm8s, which requiem also made a whole lot easier.
I recognize the strength of rez, but I think mid-combat rezing does not work against good players 95% of the time. Maybe in a rare situation where you have optimal positioning. At best, it's a very risky play which can bait the enemy to push.
Wow really? Perhaps you're right and I'm just imagining it but I swear it used to slow you. Interesting if true, I'm gonna have to give it a try myself now. @@NotLikeThisJoe
To be honest I would of preferred they nerf cleric healing by making it a Heal over time, like a potion but rapid like over 3 or 4 seconds. That way you can't just sit there spamming heal to out heal lesser dps but you don't destroy one of the main purposes of the class but removing the amount of healing he can do.
The only thing that I hate about Cleric is landing my buffs when I know the buffs should have landed. I'll be behind my tank looking directly at him and the buff still misses. The most annoying argument is that the hard aiming makes spellcasting more of a high risk/reward but if that's the case why not remove the AOE target marker? Or the marker with throwing/shooting weapons? Personally I don't see why buff spells can't just highlight over your current target and I fully disagree with the meta heads calling it a skill issue on my end when I know for a fact I should be hitting the friendly player.
The buffs have to be frame perfect, and I do think they should be a little easier to land. Sometimes I'll slow a clip down and see my cursor hover on my teammate the entire time except literally 1 single frame, and it will miss.
@@NotLikeThisJoe I let my buddies know about the information you shared in this video so they can help make my healing life easier while I git gud lol. Also thank you for the great video, the advice has already helped a ton.

I haven't gotten too specific on this topic because of three reasons. One, there are many factors to consider when choosing gear (team/solo, map, team comp, personal wealth, playstyle, spell setup and more). Two, Ironmace keeps changing gear every patch, so I'm hesitant to make a big BIS guide if they are going to drastically change things every 2 weeks. Three, the random stats make it so something that is normally mediocre can suddenly become very good (or very bad). It's a complicated topic that I'm hesitant to get deep into until gear balancing calms down.
I fail to see how perseverance is good. so it reduces damage taken by 3 So when the wizard hits me for 60 damage with one spell, it is not 57. so what he will still 2 shot me?
