Brian AKA Philly in the Philippines has had at least three instances of accidents with Filipinos, and even though the Filipinos swore up and down it was his fault and had other Filipino witnesses to back them up, the CCTV cameras, and his car cameras proved he was not at fault and he was not in trouble for the accident. The Filipinos were proven to have lied.
Wise investment for sure..too many..when money is involved to their benefit I've heard..will lie thru their teeth..or gums..LOL to get some of yours when an accident occurs..especially if humans are hurt
I remember being stationed in Subic Bay from 1987-1989 and was told if you drive as a foreigner you are a gold mine and filipinos will try to hit you and say its your fault to get extorted/bribes.
I guess I got lucky I live in the Philippines with my Filipina wife. Without naming province or person, I bought my wife a house from a VERY high ranking government official. He told me to call him anytime day or night if I found myself in any kind of trouble and he would take care of it. It always pays to have good connections. I love living here.
The most common one I know is being accused of abuse and being threatened that if you try to get your property back they will report you and makee up charges. The family will turn on you even after you have supported and cared for them.
@@ChochiT0-ddd7fd Sadly it is common. I met a girl , was very nice, we hooked up and I am honorable as can be without lies and nonsense. Next day, she wants money, even we are consensual and I outright had agreement, no money. After I refused, the accusations came and this was in Cebu. It was surreal and I had to give her 1K PHP to get her out, but she was literally making up charges and said she would go to the police and this was July 2023. I am SUPER GOOD to my mate and I just met her and know PH well, but only met this woman. I know some PNP people if I got jammed up, but these things absolutely do happen.
This is one of the main reasons I would not want to reside in the Philippines.......All Expats are targeted for some sort of extortion, and sometimes even by other expats.....Happened to me when I was there.
If you have a child in the Philippines and your a expat , as long as you support your child then you can buy land , house in trust for that child and live on or within it until the agreed age in trust for that child , if you think your live longer adjust the age .
Oooo! That is an amazing tip. I had not thought of it or even heard of it before but a living trust makes a LOT of sense!! TYVM!! If you were looking for sub,s I'd have given just for this one tip.
@@Ghekko-kw3zz the family 'Trust' holds the land title for the child (who can own land when he reaches 18). He will eventually own it, under the terms of the trust where he is listed as a potential beneficiary, there may be other potential beneficiaries too. You get to decide when, after he/she reaches 18 yrs, the land transfer actually happens. It might be when he/she is 40 yrs old. In the meantime, you are in charge of the 'trust' that is holding the land for the potential beneficiary. You are in charge, until the 'trust' transfers ownership. The 'trust' is a separate legal entity.... it's not you, it's not your wife, it is it's own identity, but controlled by you, as the trustee. It often also pays to have your lawyer appointed as a trustee too, as a professional trustee.... to ensure that you don't screw things up by making decisions that may contravene Trust laws. You need legal advice and a few $$$ to set a trust up, and the occasional fee along the way. Done right, it will save your sanity.
On a much smaller scale was stopped twice while driving. The first time was for "reckless driving" for a lane change. If you've driven here, you know how totally absurd that is. 99% of the streets dont even have lanes. The officer wanted to confiscate my license, BUT for 2,000 pesos, I could "be on my way". When I told him to confiscate it, I had a duplicate on the way to me, miraculously I was let go. 2nd time was for running a red light. Even though there were 2 vehiles behind me, I was the one pulled over. Same senario....2,000 pesos of I'm confiscating your license. There was nonway I was handing this guy a dime and he didn't buy the duplicate story. Had to go to the local precinct to pick it up where I was told he had no authoirty to confiscate my license for running a red light even if I was guilty. They asked me to file a report against the officer, which I did, handed me my license and let me walk out the door without paying a fine. As a warning......Spent a total of about 7 days in Manila during my 5 months here. Both of those incidents happened there. Everywhere else I've been, you seem to be able to drive as crazy as the locals and no one says a word.
This is very relevant to us currently. I have lived here 8 years. We are being scammed/ framed, and it has ended up in a local court. It should have never been accepted, however, it has. We have all the evidence, but they have connections. Court (etc), attorneys, all part of it together. Costing us thousands. Anyhow, scams are nothing new. But fair warning to others. It's getting worse. YES of course we want to leave but we can't right now. Filipino don't fight fair, they fight to win. MONEY.
It's diabolical. We just stood up to people who wronged us. Nothing physical, justa disagreement. They twisted it all up. I don't like it here anymore, it's ruined for us. Thanks for your support. I'll let you know how it goes!@@PaulWorldZoom
So it seems that the best approach to minimize getting red flagged there is to go out somewhere else before 6 months to avoid getting the exit clearance. Of course keeping your nose clean is better, but even if one is a decent person can still get in trouble there. Take care and thanks for the heads up. Greatly appreciated.

One guy in the Philippines talking about the Sweet Spot being between three and 4000 a month mother of God if it cost me 4000 a month to live in the Philippines you can keep that freaking place I can live anywhere on the planet for 4,000 a month
1000 USD a month for me in Cebu. Depends on your lifestyle. I rent a condo with AC, hot water, Internet and pool access for 450 a month. The rest I spend on groceries, visa renewal and miscellaneous. So 1000 is my budget but my actual income is higher so I'm actually saving money.
Paul, today's video is not new. Back in the 70's, while I was stationed at Subic Bay. Tons of females work in bars. They would put a sailor or Marine in "Legal Hold" just to get money from a sailor or Marine. Sailors and Marines were 99.9% innocent. Those sailors and Marines must stay on base in barracks restriction. If their ship was leaving port, they are left behind and can not leave the Philippines till their case is settled. Most of them just pay to leave the Philippines. I heard so many stories about "Legal Hold". So shameful of those females in bars knowing it was a big scam. One more, if a foreigner produces an over-the-edge sexy-themed video, the Philippine NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) will pick up the foreigner, then throw him in jail, depart from the Philippines and finally "Black Listed". Now let's change the ownership of the same video to Filipina. Nothing will happen to her. There are two justice systems in the Philippines. Your channel has improved a whole lot. Keep the great work.
Another tricky scenario is that as a foreigner, you are not allowed to be unsupervised with a child under 18 who is not your child either through marriage or biology. I saw a British expat in the PH. The child was, in fact, his niece by way of marriage. All was good in the end but stressful to say the least. It is a particular trait amongst many Filipinos who are jealous and impulsively report a foreigner as a way of venting their frustration at both the foreigner and his Filipina because they, the accusers, cannot have what the foreigner and his Filipina have. It is a classic trait of the poor to see one of their own rise "undeservedly" to the top so quickly and live a life of luxury and without worry.
Well said Ian. Sheila has tons of Nieces and Nephews, especially in Tanjay. I’ll take them to school or to eat at Scooby’s but not much else without Moms and Dads. Good to hear from you
I’m glad I read your comment. Would this apply to teachers teaching English? I’m an English teacher and do my own private teaching in Japan currently. I teach all ages of students including primary, Elementary, Junior High and High School students. I have an open-door policy and allow parents to join lessons anytime. If I move to the Philippines, I guess I better make sure an adult is present in the classroom.
@@ShikokuFoodForest Teachers are given certain privileges that most others cannot attain. Just like doctors, police and caregivers. With teachers, there is a limited vetting of the prospective teacher such as no criminal record involving inappropriate behaviors.
@@Ian-iu2tl I understand. Basic common sense, really. Nonetheless, we must be careful especially in this day and age. Certainly with teaching kids, I always prefer group lessons for that reason. However, if a parent prefers private lessons to maximize individual attention, I do offer private lessons. I always invite and encourage parents to attend. A public place/classroom with doors and windows/blinds open at all times is the best practice to protect yourself from any suspicion. Thanks.
@curtisalbrecht9837 Perhaps a good idea, although seems excessive. I recall advice now from my secondary-teaching days decades ago to never be in a classroom alone with a female student without a ‘witness’ present. A camera may be one of the best ways to prove no wrongdoing.

I had 2 motor accidents in the Phil. and the Pinoys paid all from their pockets. I've had an accident here in the Philippines that was not my fault where a truck backed into my car just outside my subdivision. We went to the police station and made the report. I’m sorry to do that Johnny. That is not my intent. Only you would know your specific situation. Eyes wide open. You decide on your own, not based on a 57 year old man visiting his Mom. Take care
Great video one would hope that most of what you talked about would be common sense for expats. One other thing I would mention is drinking in a local Filipino bar. Don't do it unless you are prepared to buy everyone drinks all night long. Most expats are better off financially than the average Filipino and mix alcohol with some jealousy and you have trouble. I remember reading a story years back about a foreigner refusing to by a local a drink and he was murdered for it.
Best not to expose yourself too much and avoid potentially bad situations. I've never had a problem in all the years I have spent in SE Asia but I don't broadcast myself on youtube, go out to bars of hang out at local places all the time.
Great information. Never even thought about things like that .something to always think about when there in Philippines thank you for the great video. .take care always 😊
Actually they do a lot of the same things in the USA. You can be imprisoned in the USA based on anonymous reports. Actually the most common would be loitering charges. Which you can be arrested on a loitering charge if any anonymous person reports that you were "acting suspicious". I know because it happened to me and I was arrested, they did end up dropping the charges and I was not convicted of anything but I spent time in county jail just based on an anonymous report.
That’s a violation of your rights. “Suspicious” especially anonymously, has no Reasonable Articulable Suspicion of an Actual crime that Was committed, Is being committed, or is about to be committed. You may have a case against that police dept.
I don't believe you. There is something more that you are not telling us, which is the real reason you got arrested. That's NOT how things work in America. You probably had something on you.
Not even remotely close comparing US to PH law enforcement. PH is MUCH more dangerous and corrupt. It's laughable and I suspect you have never spent much time in PH or you would know you are comparing apples to oranges.
@@mikeh.1408That doesn't happen in the US and if it happens, it's just a fluke. He did something else, disrespected the officer, something he did. They don't arrest him just for loitering, unless it is not his first time. He made that up.
Appreciate the research and information Paul, makes you think eh. I don't know how it works there, but would definitely be seeing an attorney first thing if I found myself in a situation. One thing anyone driving a car or trike should do imho is get a dash cam and use it. Nothing pokes holes in a story like video. And do they have them for scooters? I would take a look and see... maybe they do. If you were driving safely, having that video could save a lot of drama.

So many people are just fine with lieing, cheating, stealing, manipulating. All behaviors considered low class in the U.S. What face do they have to save?? How much lower can they get??
No. I can tell you firsthand. I leave on average about every two months to visit friends in Malaysia and Singapore and the only thing I ever have to do when leaving is fill out the etravel form online and show my passport. That's it.
there is no law against causing 'losing face'. It is a cultural thing. They do not like to engage in it, and for them it is the pits. About as low as you can get. So you are punished... by everybody. Losing face is mentioned because they is nothing surer then facing disproportionate problems for you, if you decide to attempt to humiliate a local. You then have the population of that area against you.... citizens, Police, Immigration officials....anyone who can make your life difficult will pile on, when they hear the story about what you did. You will leave that area. End of story. @@GUITARTIME2024 yes sir you are correct.. I am thinking about doing that.not Because I'm a criminal but because I do not want to go through the paperwork.. thanks 👍
Sorry guys, but you do need to still go through immigration processes on both arrival at first port and before departure. If anything, the process will take longer than when arriving by plane, as you have to heave to in certain clearance areas, then wait for customs/immigration officers to come to the boat, etc. still worth doing though!
I’ve heard about a newer law in the Philippines. If you have a girlfriend and you’ve been supporting her. Then you break up, for whatever reason. She can take you to court, or file something. Then you would be required to continue supporting her. I don’t know the details, so it would be great if you could look into this and do a video on that.
Its true but time is the key element. They can't sue until you've been living together as husband and wife for at least 5 years. Not married, just playing house.
There is no new law. A filipina can not sue for support unless they have a child together. No child, no support. There is what's called common law marriage, which becomes relevant starting after 5 years living together, and even then, she can only sue for a portion of things. Anything acquired by both contributing financially to those things is distributed to the amounts contributed by each person. If she only contributes 10%, she gets 10%. So, the risk of getting sued by a filipina is very minimal and virtually impossible if not living together for 5 years+.

@@PaulWorldZoom it's a veeery important topic. It's one of the reasons I live in Mexico as a resident, and not in places like the Philippines and Thailand, etc. Sure, anything can happen here, but you can handle your own business here (to almost any degree if necessary) without any official agency, nor police or the federalize getting involved. For better or for worse, I prefer that to a place where the default cultural setting is Foreigner-gets-f'd. In other words, go to the Philippines, get a traditional wife, and move her outta there. Obviously, don't move her to Canada or the USA or Western Europe where she'll take on all the worst traits of the entitled degenerate feminazi, but DO NOT LIVE IN the Philippines with her either; not if you're in any way an unconventional human being (e.g. smoke weed, want a harem, are dumb enough to date not-yet divorced single mothers where the husband can literally kill you in your own apartment because you're cohabitating with his estranged wife and kids, etc.). The Women are good for marriage, but the country is deliberately engineered to screw the foreigner.
Couple questions… is it worth having a lawyer lined up to help for any potential situation? Is their a right to legal representation, i.e. can you request lawyer to be present when going to police? And, can lawyers facilitate a speedier process? Good video, thx
If you can settle things by compensating the local without a lawyer, do it that way with an agreement. Lawyers are expensive and they will side with the pinoy against you and extend the case if heard in court, to have more and more hearings so they can earn more.
I hate to say it, but would recommend being very careful utilizing a Filipino lawyer. If necessary, find a Manila or Cebu lawyer not worried about hurt lawyers feelings or reprisals from locals against them

You were talking about more than likely if you're an expat in the Philippines and you get into an accident that it's probably going to be the expats fault. Maybe that might be true but I remember watching Brian from PhillyinthePhilippines where he had a dashcam and the three accidents that he was in the dashcam proved that none of the accidents were his fault. That's the only one that I have heard of an expat that was in an accident so I'm no expert on that or really anything about the Philippines. It's just one example of the system being unbiased and fair.
It's the same the world over - the rule of the herd. If you are not a local you are a part of 'the other'. It exists in Thailand, Japan, China...everywhere. (Except Germany, in my experience, where they seem to be sticklers for what is right and legal!) Ultimately, if there is a dispute between a foreigner and a Filipino, the Filipino is always given the benefit of the doubt and is favoured by the authorities. I was once accused of causing someone to lose face because I insisted that he clear up after his dog after it had defecated on the sidewalk, where my children play. This is when they conveniently forget the fact that you are contributing to the economy, bringing money in as opposed to taking it out and employing and educating Filipino citizens. This is not confined to the Philippines, but it is a factor involved in living here as a foreigner. I tend to keep quiet. If there are any 'issues' I leave it to my wife to resolve them.
To say that Germans are sticklers is fair for sure. But as a citizen or visitor, you can’t have better odds to be treated fairly and properly. Same I’d say is true in from Switzerland to Norway.

You will know when they look for you... because some of the countries periodically send their immigration staff into the countryside and advertise on the radio that they want all and any ex-pats reported to them. Then come come to your local area, consult with the local police who know the legal longtime expat residents.... and round up everyone that they don't know. Jail, court case and deportation happen. This then cramps your style, should you wish to pursue overseas travel options in the future. Remember the arrival card to any country, there is a question: Have you ever been deported from any country? How will you fill that form out? One thing is for sure, you're going back home soon. Everything is electronic and they know as you enter the country whether to send you back or not. A couple of things SE Asian counties don't let go of easily, illegal immigration, working without a work permit (where required), drug offenses.. particularly attempting to bring illegal substances into the country. In some places this is the real big deal and Indonesia shoots those who are sentenced to this punishment. And they have done some shooting over the last 20 yrs. If you are fortunate enough to avoid that, expect a minimum of 15 to 25 yrs in Jail. Maybe 50. Oh, your embassy can give consular assistance. That means, that you are totally fucked, but now it's official as your Govt knows about it now. They can't actually do anything, except notify your relatives that you are locked up in XXXX Jail, in whatever Country. That's it. Oh they will give you the name of a trustworthy lawyer.... if you can afford it.
Yes you do need to be careful especially when it comes to the children. If you go anywhere with a minor you need to have a letter from the parent stating who you are to this child. This is a concerned citizen law and because there are screwballs coming to the philippines it has created a situation where if you don't look the part you better have documentation stating otherwise or you could be arrested.
Even with written or visual authorization you are not safe. Parents have gone to save a European foreigner before at the PNP and still he had to serve time. He eventually escaped the country and charges were dropped for lack of evidence, but he is afraid of coming back or is blacklisted, one or the other, can't remember.
A video on your phone is better, but you need to do "your best" to resolve the issue right there with the officer. Once he takes you in, you are s. out of luck. It's better not taking the risk.
Hi 👋 Sir Newly subscribed to your channel. My name is Selwyn Lawrence, I'm from the West Midlands Region of the UK 🇬🇧 At this point in time I'm getting ready to move to the Philippines 🇵🇭 in the next couple of months. One of the issues that bothers me is vehicular accidents especially with motor cyclists 🚴♂️ I'm in contact with a number of friends in the Philippines, they tell me that at least a quarter of the country's population are motorcyclists. Furthermore, a large proportion of them are not even licensed let alone insured.
My guess is most of these people who are in trouble are looking for it. You always find what you are looking for - good or bad if you look hard enough.
Before having any sex act with any woman, always first take photos and videos of the woman's ID , and also showing her handing that ID for you to take a look. This prove that you did try to avoid breaking the under age law. Also Before having any sex act with any woman, always take a video of the woman saying that she wants to have sex with you , and also in the video, u should ask her what is today's date, so this is a solid proof that on this particular date, the woman herself agree to have sexual act with u . Then quickly send the photos and videos to your own email and to your own cloud storage. This is to ensure that the evidences cannot be taken away from you, in case if ever your cell phone get snatched away from you . This way, it becomes impossible for the woman to turn around and falsely accuse you of rape. This way, it becomes impossible for u to become an innocent victim, and impossible for u to be thrown into jail for life, for a crime which u never ever did
My advice if deciding to live in SE Asia; marry into a large influential and connected family with possibly a high ranking cop in the family (skip the problematic province girls). That’s exactly what iv done, it’s the smart thing to do if your foreigner in a country filled with poor, desperate and corrupt population. It’s risky SE Asia guys, nothings changed in decades. Think like Chuck Norris Missing in Action and you’ll be fine
A man met his wife,s brother who was also her husband..A relation can legally steal from you. Man open a dinner pub after doing all the legal things. soon some own came and said some one was not included in the sale so he had to close down..Soon the place was up and running under the new owners..men come here build a hose and soon get kicked ou.t the the ex now has a new house..If they have Black hair avoid.
Many dont have a clue about Philippine law concerning accidents. Foreigners are NOT always at falt. Thats just BS. The judge can declare a faltless person responsible for medical bills, and that could be the local or the foreigner. Thats even with video and witnesses. The main concern is, who has the bigger wallet to win the decision. We all know how corrupt it can be and how easy it is to persuade a decision. At times, it could be cheaper just to pay, rather than fight it. Thats providing you dont have a huge ego that has to be settled no matter the cost...lol Theres absolutely too much bs information in many vlogs where people speculate and others believe it true. Would sugget if you have someone saying crap that doesnt sound right, do your own research, you may be suprised.
I think you are blowing things out of proportion and are just repeating nonsense that you read in some comment somewhere.. You know well you don't have actual evidence of anything you claimed.

The families will sometimes try to hook you up with their young daughters, 14 to 17 and hope you will help support their family. Big mistake they can give you the approval to live with their daughter and if they get mad at you they can say you never had approval from them. The legal age is 18 years old. Stay away from younger than that. You could end up in big trouble.
Nowadays for a man to protect yourself from being unfairly and unjustly thrown into jail , based on lies and wrong accusations made by a woman, before u go into a room to have sexual intercourse with a woman, you need to 1) You need to ask for her birth certificate or photo ID to make sure she is over the age of 18 and you need to take videos or photos or her birth certificate or photo ID 2)You need to record a video showing the woman saying that she is willing to go into the room, with you to have sexual intercourse , and 3) in that video, you need to also remind her that you have no intention to marry her , if u happen to be in India . Based on the law in India that if u have sex with a woman, the woman can file a case against u for false promise of marriage, if u decide not to marry her , so that is why u need to have proof that u had never ever promised marriage to her and 4) you also need to mention the date in the video. and 5) make sure u send the videos proof to your cloud in case someone steal away your videos, and hence causing u to lose the video proofs that would have protected you from fale rape accusations , and 6) Avoid making friends or even talking with anybody younger than 18 years old. Avoid all contacts and avoid even smiling at anybody below age of 18 anywhere in whole world Once these above steps are done, it become almost impossible for an unethical women, to falsely and wrongly accuse u of rape, based on lies and false accusations .
What some of these undesirable expats does is cheapen the image of filipino women. Perhaps this expats come to the Philippines expecting to live a champagne life with a beer budget.

Do the ones that lie and file false reports face any consequences for their actions?

I guess I got lucky I live in the Philippines with my Filipina wife. Without naming province or person, I bought my wife a house from a VERY high ranking government official. This is one of the main reasons I would not want to reside in the Philippines.......All Expats are targeted for some sort of extortion, and sometimes even by other expats.....Happened to me when I was there.
I hate to agree, but I do completely
Interesting. What happened?
I have been living in the Philippines the last 10 years and I been treated good so far but hearing stories keeps me on my toes .
If you have a child in the Philippines and your a expat , as long as you support your child then you can buy land , house in trust for that child and live on or within it until the agreed age in trust for that child , if you think your live longer adjust the age .
Interesting, good advice
Oooo! That is an amazing tip. I had not thought of it or even heard of it before but a living trust makes a LOT of sense!!
TYVM!! If you were looking for sub,s I'd have given just for this one tip.
@@davidfisher5140it's wrong, 18 is the minimum age for a land title.
@@Ghekko-kw3zz Your ignorance is on display!
My FILIPINA LAWYER gave that information. For expats w money, there are still ways.

Well, thanks very much. Very kind.
Thanks for your time and the information

I’m glad I read your comment. Would this apply to teachers teaching English? I’m an English teacher and do my own private teaching in Japan currently.

Sorry to hear that. Please be careful

(PS Don't be a 'Karen' whether a male or female version , don't raise your voice, don't be verbally abusive or swear at them... don't wave your finger around in a rude manner, you know what I mean.)
One more reason to visit the Philippines on a sailboat. Dont need no stinkin permission slip to leave.
Made me laugh. Thanks
After you arrive on your sailboat I would think you have to go to immigration and get a Visa unless you already have one.. I guess if you are not staying more than 30 days maybe you do not even need a visa.. have you ever been to the Philippines on a sailboat? I have been thinking the very same thing about free rent and traveling around from Island to Island.. I have the money to buy nice$40,000 sailboat but I do not have the balls or the skill to sail it across the Pacific Ocean.hehe😮😊.. I was pricing the sailboats in Washington state and Oregon and I found some great deals.. I can never find anybody skilled enough to get it across the Pacific.. are you interested in making a deal?
Stay less than 6 months and no exit clearance needed.
Never heard that. Interesting. I will ask 👍👍 I hope not, could you imagine?
@@PaulWorldZoom Pea did a video on that subject with an attorney
Its true but time is the key element. They can't sue until you've been living together as husband and wife for at least 5 years. Not married, just playing house.
No. No such law.
Very informative Paul, thank you.

When I lived in the PI many years ago when Clark AB was active, paternity law suits was at the top of the list. I knew of a few Airmen who were delayed shipping out because of it. One claim was bogus and the other was not. Do you know of any such cases?
It has been years since I have heard of any of these cases. If the Military actually comes back, so will the cases. Thanks
I was stationed at Clark from 76-80 and heard of several cases. But overall, we were well protected and it truly was the best of both worlds.

Calvin is a nice fellow but there is a certain ycky man who thrives on seeing others suffer. I canceled my subscription to the ycky man 2 years ago bc he seemed a slimy slug. He is a SMART guy who now has Filipino citizenship which is yet another weapon he uses to try and shut down other youtubers. That slimy snake even went after the Filipina Pea!
Mr Yck .. (not his real name but alludes to it) has evil motives and appears to be the one behind LOTS of anonymous reports. He is the virus in Dumaguete region and has literally attacked EVERY SINGLE prominent youtuber in the region. It took me a few years to realize how sneaky and evil that guy is. Sadly, he is very charismatic and can sound very reasonable at first.
His only motivation seems to be to sabotage ALL other youtubers loading them with falsified legal claims and sabotaging their reputation in hopes he can earn more money from YT by stealing their content and redoing it as his own. You can see LOTS of copycat videos on the Yk channel, things others did previously. He redid their work, then attacked the original videographer.
the more of your latest videos I see, the more Im becoming disenchanted with moving there. A holiday again maybe but doubtful residing there. Too much jealousy coz they are lazy and a lot of the friendliness seems to be just money motivated.

If you watch the "News" in any western country you would assume that life there is murder, cruelty, suffering and chronic dissatisfaction. The people I have met here work 60 hours a week to support their families, they work harder than almost anyone I know in the west. The friendliness I have experienced has been true kindness and there has not been any money involved. The only people in the Philippines that I have heard whining and complaining are males from the west.

If you leave and come back into the Philippines before a whole year has passed (every year) does it reset the 12 month rule? Thanks
If you mean the 1 year background check, then yes. If you mean 3 year tourist visa (1,2,6 months at a time) it also resets
Even the lawyers are corrupt in the Philippines 😮

I remember that as well. Lucky he had cameras. I also bought those for my car
Good plan on leaving it to your wife 👍👍 Thanks for the story and your thoughts
so true, my wife still refers to me as a foreigner here in the US
To say that Germans are sticklers is fair for sure. But as a citizen or visitor, you can’t have better odds to be treated fairly and properly. Same I’d say is true in from Switzerland to Norway.
BEST advice I ever heard.

I’m not advocating for escaping your responsibilities, but you can probably make your way to Malaysia on a banka through Mindanao and then leave from there. You might have to explain how you got from the Philippines to Malaysia without going through Customs though. Unless it’s a serious crime, Malaysia probably won’t send you back.
Yikes, never heard of that one. Good to lnow
The area in Mindanao close to Malaysia is well-known as the breeding ground for Muslim terrorists! You're more likely to find yourself in a live-action video having your head cut off than taking a sunny cruise on any kind of boat!

any immigration offense in SE Asia, forget it.
Yes physically it is possible in many places, but eventually it will catch up with you.
Don't be that person. You will get that unique hunted feeling as they close in on you. Often sometime after you did the illegal border crossing.

I understand completely
Even with written or visual authorization you are not safe. Parents have gone to save a European foreigner before at the PNP and still he had to serve time. He eventually escaped the country and charges were dropped for lack of evidence, but he is afraid of coming back or is blacklisted, one or the other, can't remember.
A Letter? You need to look up the LAWS first. You cannot make a mistake with this.
A video on your phone is better, but you need to do "your best" to resolve the issue right there with the officer. Once he takes you in, you are s. out of luck. It's better not taking the risk.

Before having any sex act with any woman, always first take photos and videos of the woman's ID ,
and also showing her handing that ID for you to take a look.
This prove that you did try to avoid breaking the under age law.
Also Before having any sex act with any woman,
always take a video of the woman saying that she wants to have sex with you ,
and also in the video, u should ask her what is today's date,
so this is a solid proof that on this particular date,
the woman herself agree to have sexual act with u .
Then quickly send the photos and videos to your own email and to your own cloud storage.
This is to ensure that the evidences cannot be taken away from you,
in case if ever your cell phone get snatched away from you .
This way, it becomes impossible for the woman to turn around and falsely accuse you of rape.
This way, it becomes impossible for u to become an innocent victim,
and impossible for u to be thrown into jail for life,
for a crime which u never ever did
Great suggestions

Nowadays for a man to protect yourself from being unfairly and unjustly thrown into jail ,
based on lies and wrong accusations made by a woman,
before u go into a room to have sexual intercourse with a woman,
you need to
1) You need to ask for her birth certificate or photo ID to make sure she is over the age of 18
and you need to take videos or photos or her birth certificate or photo ID
2)You need to record a video showing the woman saying that she is willing to go into the room,
with you to have sexual intercourse ,
and
3) in that video, you need to also remind her that you have no intention to marry her ,
if u happen to be in India . Based on the law in India that if u have sex with a woman,
the woman can file a case against u for false promise of marriage,
if u decide not to marry her ,
so that is why u need to have proof that u had never ever promised marriage to her
and 4) you also need to mention the date in the video.
and 5) make sure u send the videos proof to your cloud in case someone steal away your videos,
and hence causing u to lose the video proofs that would have protected you from fale rape accusations ,
and
6) Avoid making friends or even talking with anybody younger than 18 years old.
Avoid all contacts and avoid even smiling at anybody below age of 18 anywhere in whole world
Once these above steps are done,
it become almost impossible for an unethical women, to falsely and wrongly accuse u of rape,
based on lies and false accusations .
Thanks
