As a person who is A) a huge Harry Potter fan, B) a (wanna-be studious) Ravenclaw, C) struggling with ADHD and homework on a daily basis... This video is honestly a godsend
As a tip: I know it's hard at first, but it's better if you guys don't touch your phone at all during the 5 minute break. It's VERY easy to get distracted and spend way more than 5 minutes if you're using social media, and time seems to go faster (• ▽ •;). If you just look out of the window, go to another room, get a glass of water, play with your pet, just do nothing and relax... Anything really, you'll notice it's easier to meet the times and the break will seem longer :)
My late brother was a gigantic Potter fan, and he would have loved theese Asmr Ambience videos you've made. He devoured anything Potter related, and though i wasn't a fan while he was alive, listening to this makes me feel like I'm spending time with him again. You have no idea how grateful I am. He was 28 chronological years, but he had such an old soul.
As promised to a fellow viewer, here are some study motivation tips: -Reward yourself after study sessions! -Change the way you speak! Stop saying "I want to study for x hours today", say "I WILL study for x hours today". Sounds ridiculous but, trust me, it helps. -Set realistic goals! You can still keep studying after you have completed your goal. Don't set yourself up for disappointment. -Prioritize tasks and break big tasks up into smaller steps, so they won't feel as intimidating. -Write those steps down and set realistic "deadlines" for each -Procrastination is often caused by the fear of failure. But you know what? a) You won't magically be smarter tomorrow and the task won't become easier b) There's a high chance that fear is irrational c) Failure won't decrease your worth as a person and mistakes can only help you grow, intellectually and emotionally. -Make studying comfortable. Have a cup of tea, a snack, light a candle... -Speaking of snacks: Eat healthy, drink enough water, exercise... you will feel more energized, motivated and focused! -Have small rituals. Once you have for example started your study timer, lit that candle or tied your hair up, there's no going back. It's study time! -Visit different places to study and find your favourite. -Don't have your phone on your desk, if you don't need it for research. -Stop wasting time with "instagram worthy" study notes, if you don't really enjoy taking those. You will get more done and that itself will feel rewarding. -Breaks are great but it is a very individual thing how often you need them. Find out what works for you, so you can have a satisfying study session. -Find out what works for you in general. Whatever works is right. And then make it a habit. -Accept where you are at! You cannot undo past decisions (like procrastination) or change past circumstances. "What ifs" are really a waste of time and an unnecessary distraction. -If you're distracted by a thought, write it down and deal with it later. -Make a motivation board with pictures that remind you of your long term goals. -Find a quote that motivates you, write it down (that really is more helpful than printing it or buying a picture) and keep it somewhere in sight! (For me it is "Start before you are ready!") -And again: REWARD YOURSELF! No matter how tiny the reward. Don't online shop after every study session or eat a whole bucket of ice cream. That wouldn't be helpful in the real world.
This is all really great advice, I will definitely be incorporating some of it into my usual study habits! One thing I would add to the point about procrastination being the fear of failure is, wouldn't it be better to try and fail than to not try at all? Wouldn't you rather turn in a homework assignment with some wrong answers than not turn anything in at all? The fact that you failed means that you tried, and a failure isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as you learn from it :)
really feels like studying with hermione. i concentrated well during this time. this is gonna be my regular habit for sure. for the break i read comment section. really u guys making me pass my 5mins so soon.time's up! now i'm gonna start my third work period. bye bye
This video is a godsend. On a regular basis, I cannot, for the life of me, focus on homework or studying for more than 5 minutes. Right now, I just went through the whole video without getting distracted once. I am speechless.
POV: You are studying with Hermione for your upcoming exams. Once in a while Ronn and Harry pay a visit but after 5 minutes they leave and mind their own buissnes again. It's raining outside and it's the perfect atmosphere to study. You are so concentrated, you dont have muggle technologies distracting you. When you take a five minute break you don't read comments on a video, you talk with friends, take a walk around the castle or just look out on the horizon. You are happy and give up every form of technology to be here. It's a safe place and it feels like home. AND NOW GO BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!!

I pretend that I am studying the History of Magic, but in fact I am studying The Iliad! Good luck everyone! Once you finish studying, Hermione will be proud of you!
I just finished the Iliad! I love the ending, after all of Odysseus's struggles, I promise things will get easier. Anyway sorry for the little spoiler hahah
I was literally more productive in less than an hour thanks to this video than I have been in the last week. Thank you so much! Now I don't have to stay up super late studying, and I still have time to do something I enjoy. :)
Tips for the short break: • stand up and walk around your desk •do stretching (neck and shoulders in particular) • drink water/ coffee or tea • watch outside your window (if you're studying on your computer, it helps a lot) Good Job!

really so true
I feel like the tower is shaking with all that thunder and wind and I love it
I need an adorable Hufflepuff bubbly lo-fi one that is lightly energetic for work then calms down for tea breaks or reversed possibly? Litte extra happy boosting.
What a great study with me video!
Oh bliss! Ican smell the rain! So relaxing, thank you!
this is amazing, it was so relaxing to listen to and I studied so fast with it.
It is INSANE how many times I've already played this whole video. It helps me so much to concentrate, thank youuu!! So many more plays to go :D
(when music enters) oh, a 5 mins break... hmm.. let's stop writing my phd and read the philosopher's stone for the billionth time! ~pomodoro out~
I was literally more productive in less than an hour thanks to this video than I have been in the last week. Thank you so much! Now I don't have to stay up super late studying, and I still have time to do something I enjoy. :)
Who else ends up studying for the whole 2 hours?
Thanks so much for making this!
all I can say is that French and Spanish homework is a perfect match for this video
Studying with this technique makes me more productive! Thank you 🌸
This is such a brilliant idea! Thanks for this video!
These videos are so impactful for helping us stay productive ! We play this in the background when editing our podcast
as a Hufflepuff who wants to be a doctor and help people but is getting distracted easily, im really thankfull!!!
This is gonna be so much more useful than just silent Pomodoro, thank you!
I like listening this while making Covid gifts (Drawings for my Bestiesssssss)
Tips for the short break:
• stand up and walk around your desk
•do stretching (neck and shoulders in particular)
• drink water/ coffee or tea
• watch outside your window (if you're studying on your computer, it helps a lot)
Good Job!
this really helped me be more productive with school work! thank you
Those 5 minute breaks are super duper helpful!
THIS IS AMAZING!! :D I didn´t know such a thing existed!! :D
I love it! I like that theres no talking, since voices can be quite distractive💕 makes me feel like being a hogwarts student thanks for that 💕🎓
finally sitting down to study for an exam after an entire day of procrastination to this, let's hope i'll learn at least something
I need a video with just the break music, it's so magical and relaxing!
