Kids doing dumb shit on country roads circa 2002, can't say that I'm proud of it - but we probably didn't break the speed limit.
Left lane: 1987 Chevy Celebrity, 2.5L Iron F'n Duke - revisions for 1987 bumped the cantankerous power-plant up to a raging 97 horsepower (when new).
Right lane: 1991 Chevy Beretta, featuring the overlooked but venerable 2.2L throttle body injected ranch featuring around 105 horses and some DAMN BRIGHT INDIGLOW gauges!
Listen closely as not a single tire was spun upon the launch! The ancient digital camera ran out of memory around 26 seconds in and the Celebrity had just cracked 65mph before promptly blowing the water pump!
All in good fun! The Celebrity was purchased $50 as a winter beater and sold for $250 the next spring. FTW!
