- Oh…… oh……. The time it took me to write this song…..
I spent no less than 50 hours writing this song.
Though a good majority of that was time spent trying to write lyrics in multiple different languages I do not speak, in a way that would rhyme with each other, and then trying to get the vocal synth, that also spoke almost none of those languages, to sing the languages somewhat understandably (apologies to my Russian fans especially LMAO)
Very happy with the resulting polka-electronic-rock-vocaloid song though. Featuring a collage of instruments such as: a Pipa, a turkish zither, pianos, accordion, flute, electric guitar, a dubstep bass, cellos, a choir, 8-bit synth, and the sound of glass breaking.

The first time I read chancetale, I read it back to back on to weekends nights, both times I stayed up till 5 am. I am 100% convinced this is the only way to properly read it.

This… is a new favorite song of mine. Relate to it on a deep level and I find meaning in it with my trauma. Also loved the Chancetale comic. Still reading your Fellswap one. I’ll be returning to this song a decent bit and humming the lyrics. Love these kindsa comfort songs. Well… a comfort song for me but yea. People have different comfort songs. It’s neat.
Also I love how you use kinda puppet visuals in the in between bits. Noticed it in your other ace song too. Another trauma comfort song I like. Nice to return to. And yea. Whole thing feels like they’re dissociating and not able to finish their sentences… do what they know and keep performing with repeated lines. Then slip into what’s hurting them again before snapping back into singing the standard lyrics. Reminds me of how I ramble to myself. It’s like the whole time he’s being yanked around by his traumatized mind like a puppet on a string.
Also to note like… in the case someone gets concerned reading this. I’m vibing. Luckily have a great support system and people I care about more than anything. They’ve helped me care about myself too. I’m pretty proud of the progress I’ve made. Actually… looking forward to life now. And now that I have what I have… I’d go through it all again. Just to meet these people again and spend time with them. Truly kind and responsible people. Very admirable and I like making them happy to show my appreciation for them. Love ‘em more than anything.

Well, firstly, I have to admit, that I didn't unlock lyrics hidden behind different language.
But, if we toss them aside, this song really reminds me of "Autobiography of a puppeteer", where Joker (my memory is fuzzy, I hope I didn't misremember the name) is talking directly with audience, basically excusing himself and accusing the listener being akin to him.
Here Ace communicates with us too, first verse feels as if he is sharing a secret with us. After that it really is, in my opinion, an artist revealing the clockwork behind his masterpiece, second verse and onwards, with some of his darker feelings bleeding out of this happy tune.
This little comment is less of an analysis, but more of a first reaction, and I really hope, that people, who are able to dig deeper than I, will do exactly that, and reveal something truly interesting, but remembering comments under other songs, that hope isn't really strong...
Either way, great performance, I am thankful beyond measure

I believe that's the idea behind it; it fits well with the subsequent line of this sequence, which ends with _die_ . "Make it out alive" is a reasonably common phrase in English as well.
