In terms of back buttons... I love volume buttons there... and thats a game changer for me right now... I would get G5 for its duo camera... but right now... Sure it's nice, fast, but... if I could "V10+" with Snapdragon 820, I would prefer it over G5

But from this video I would choose the V10 though the next V-seires might also be modular that is if LG is going to adopt the modularity route hence forth.

I'm not too worried about the g5 not having the dual window feature. I didn't use it that much on lg g4 mainly because of the lack of apps that supported it. plus when the g5 gets Android N it's going to have that feature baked into the OS anyways

You forget to mention that the high quality DAC is built in to the v10 as opposed to being a separate accessory on the g5

i personally have the G5 since a month believe me despite of it's design, it is an awesome and super fast phone!

I LOVE the extra interface features that LG puts on its phones, the button that pulls down the notifications bar is one example, it saves you moving your thumb to the top of a big phone to slide it down, its fantastic.
Also, double tap to open screen, search function in settings, customisable buttons on your notifications tab (eg wifi, bluetooth, screencap), rearrange main buttons placement, quick. memory cleanup, drag and bin app icons to uninstall are just a handle of VERY useful functions that you do not get with stock android.

V10's a beast, regardless of what other people say . Been loving it since the day i bought it
how do you find the build quality my friend , a while before i bought my current phone , i did look at the V10 with intent to buy , but a few videos popped up with some problems , one i can remember the volume mysteriously going up and down for some reason , also some reports of battery life being a tad average .
mikldude Build quality is great , although i did still slap on a case just because i Didn't want to scratch the sides. Never had the volume issue. And yes, battery life during lollipop wasn't great, but after marshmallow update with doze, on idle with the second screen on , I'd say 6% battery draw on idle over 8 hours. this is when i sleep haha compared to about 12% on lollipop

Don't really want to spend more out of pocket for lg-v20 or lg G5. Which is better for lgv10 or lg-g4? is there is drastic performance difference between lg phones and Samsung(by that I mean lag in opening apps or using apps?)

there's one thing that I never see on any videos is that you can customize any app and make it as big as you want with any picture you want to put on it. I've watched so many videos and no one has mentioned it I like to customize my screen
Lg v10 ProTip: when in dual window mode, you can use the second screen to switch while in dual window mode between apps.

I love my v10. The only problem is that the screen drains the battery if you use your phone a lot during the day. But that seems to be the norm with most recent phones with these high res displays.

Proud LG V10 user here! It's the perfect phone for me. The things I like the most about it are the durable build, HIFI DAC, and amazing camera with manual controls in photo & video mode! The removable back, removable battery, 64B internal, and Micro SD expansion are all just icings to the cake lol. It's just such a well rounded phone. I will be keeping this thing for at least 2 more years easily.
I've had the v10 for about 6 months. absolutely fantastic phone. really hope there's another generation coming
lg need to do something about the dual screen. you should be able to put any app in it.
tbh QSlide is actually quite useful once you start using it, when im in a lecture an i need to keep up with the slides on my phone and someone needs an important reply QSlide allows this perfectly, Dual window is unused altogether but ive only had my g3 a few months so once ive had it for 6 ill root it an i plan to open up the multi window so i can use any app i like in the second window, which will actually make it useful!
LG V10 anyday. But the biggest thing is the battery life. it's worse than the G4 since they didn't up the battery size.
I agree, I loved the back buttons and why I stayed with lg. My g4 just crashed due to motherboard problems and I kinda don't want to go to the g5 for reason of not having all the back buttons on anymore.
why didn't you guys talk about the internal sound quality...? that's the only reason I giant chosen between the two
If you check out the sound review done by gsmarena, there are other smartphones that beat V10.

Keep the drop resistance and rubberized back.
Move the second screen to the bottom (or cut it)
And keep that awesome camera setup with the necessary upgrades.

I've had the v10 for about 5 months and it's a beast phone I enjoy the screen size because watching movies is great but the battery life does kinda suck 3.5 hour screen on sometimes with heavy gaming but isn't a problem since I got 2 extras batteries charged up before I go anywhere
Beta first gen modular sure would be interesting moving forward as an true asset
find it somewhat surprising that people don't like the LG skin, specifically on the V10. it is somewhat basic to what I use, Nova Launcher, but the LG skin is actually pretty decent when you compare it to other manufacturers' skins *ahem* TouchWiz.

Honestly don't know anymore i wanna still get this phone since i like LG V10 better than samsung which i currently have now but some reviews they tell me its slow with games and battery life is short and in the other its performance is good and the battery life is good

I disagree about LG's interface being bloated...I'm 40+ years old & I find all the little features (like q-slide & dual-screen) to be quite useful. Especially the quick memo & opaque calculator. I do quotes over the phone often...& it's really nice to seamlessly pull up secondary apps to take notes or do math if a client is wanting an estimate.

I turned in my Note 4 for the V10 and I only have two very minor issues. #1, I miss my stylus though using a swipe type of keyboard has helped me make the adjustment. #2 is less battery life but again, I carry a small charger with me in my purse so no worries there either. I bought the phone initially to have as much screen real estate as I could get and I am not at all sorry. It also has a very helpful tutorial app for senior citizens like me that has been truly great! I personally love this phone. Just wish it was $100 or so cheaper.

You forgot about the built in DAC in v10! The G5 didn't have it and you need to buy a module to have it. Why is it that many reviewers keep forgetting about the DAC in the v10? They forget that we use our phones for music too?

I was a little disappointed that you didn't spend much time talking about the lack of dual screen on the G5, or lack of laser auto focus on the G5.
The G5 has laser autofocus. It's in the middle of the two cameras.

WTF you didn't tell which pic is from which phone
IKR! I thought I might be able to tell. Also, it doesn't show which mode was used. I assumed the pictures on the left are the G5 because they seemed sharper and less washed, but there ones on the right were a wider angle which led me to believe those were the G5. Either way it goes, I think the V10 is a better phone.

Take the V10 + dual front cam + dual back cam - second screen + dual front facing speakers + keep drop protection, steel sides and removable battery + better water resistance and you have the phone to beat in 2016.
Call it the V12, perhaps?
Do remove the second screen though. While nice and apart, I much much prefer dual front facing speakers a la Nexus 6p. Always on main displays are a thing now, your own G5 does it.
Do not touch any of the other features, such as the DAC, microsd, drop protection, 64GB main memory etc.
And fix the call drop problems people have reported.
Call it the V12. V11 does not sound like anything. Or the V10 2016.
This will be a fucking killer phone. Take no prisoners.

I got the LG V10 and its the best phone I've ever had and seen. I wish the new version of the V10 has a better battery life and better front camera resolution, however I'm in love with it so far
both are the best phones of lg and my favourite phone is v10....

crap design
2 rear cameras instead of one killer 21 MP 1.6 aperture improved camera.
5.3 instead of 5.5 inch display
stupid ui with all their awesome features missing.
no manual video mode
no dual front facing cameras which actually made sense and was cool..
no build in hi-fi DAC
2800 mah battery..... they should have made the phone a bit bigger and thicker and add a 4000 mah battery !
hopefully the v11 can fix some of those things.

LG's dual window app support is so bad... no wonder they didn't include it in the G5
