I too was afraid to click on this video because I thought it would be something negative. Thank God it wasn't. I had a chance to serve for a little while at the processing center in Georgia, but had to drive back to Alabama and drop off my sister. I didn't want to leavebso soon. I was having fun. I'll be 70 years old this year and am slower, but I'll never forget that experience. Before and since that time I've been packing shoeboxes and still having fun. God bless all participants whatever the level.
I love the way you did the puzzle. When I was volunteering in Peru at an after school care center, they had their puzzles in bags with a picture of the whole puzzle included, just like you have done. It made it easier for them to store the puzzles in their somewhat cramped centers.
PianoDisneygal10 thanks! I hope they love their puzzles and then maybe pass to the next child or give to their school! About 20 of my boxes have puzzles that I removed from the boxes to save space :).
The puzzles in mini tin boxes are also quite nice, and I stock up on those when I can. I don't know if you can find those where you are from (presumably somewhere in Canada. I'm from the USA).
Kelly Anderson most boxes go to warm climates, but! kids can feel cold in any climate! My reason is usually due to bulk. Hats and mitts are pretty bulky. I think deodorant is a cultural thing, I could be wrong though. As for menstrual pads, I do not include these for hygienic reasons. I DO donate to a group that gives them out to girls on mission trips and also teaches them how to sanitize and reuse them. Otherwise, I leave well alone. I don’t think that needs to be anyone else’s opinion though and am all for people including them if they feel led to.
Nora Joy I describe myself as one of those extreme couponers... but for shoebox deals ;). So many things came from the very last day a local store was closing it’s doors- they were practically giving stuff away to avoid packing it up :).
A lot of bargain hunting ;) I posted a new video from this year that I think I better explain my bargains? Not sure how to describe other than I looked everywhere for deeply discounted clearance. 2 years in a row a major store was closing down in my area and I scored a lot of clothing & toys cheap.

I do like the tin ones! I find it hard to find puzzles for small hands in the tins. But for the older kids I’ve seen them!
I like that you kept costs down but made a lovely, full box.
Charlotte Arnott thank you. I really try on a limited budget to boss as many kids as possible.
I'm packing boxes this year for the first time. I want to volunteer at a Samaritan's Purse warehouse, I think it would be so much fun.
Kelly Anderson the warehouses are a blast to volunteer at! I hope you get the chance to!!
I noticed hardly anyone puts hats and gloves in boxes, plus for girls 10-14, I think cloth menstruation pads and deodorant would be a good addition.

I think it's impossible to get stuff so cheap in the UK :O

Awesome box👍😊
Lovely box! Perhaps a loofah or washcloth to go with the soap?
Great box! :)
How did you make this at such a low cost ??
