They dialed your front flipper in. I’ve taking mine apart three times. Loctite the two piece button. Got it dialed in now. Have a great day.

I'm late to the party on these, but the video really helped me decide. For me the studs not being able to come off as easily is an absolute plus, as I'd rather have to use the tool than have more of a risk of them coming off too easily and losing them. I totally agree though that the hole on the micarta version looks better. Both beautiful and can't wait for mine.

I really hope your health improves quickly. I've not pulled the trigger on the Hic-cups yet, mostly because I ordered the Assin which is very similar (button lock) and it is less expensive. QQ: Doing a hammer grip, could you (unintentionally) depress the button with first knuckle of your thumb? I had that problem with the CRJB Feldspar button lock. Cheers!!

Thanks Hector. From my testing it does not seem like I can depress it unless I used the second knuckle and was trying on purpose. One thing I did just notice is the button on the richlite flipper version sticks out much further both while open/closed compared to the micarta with front flipper. Not sure if they did that on purpose by keeping the micarta front flipper button lower knowing people would grip it higher up. Both buttons sit much higher than for example my Civivi Altus or Conspirator, but the Richlite version sits very high especially when the knife is open.

If the thumb stud looses up with the green micarta version, you can almost guarantee it's lost. With the black version there is a chance you'll see it before it's lost.

What you call a plus about the thumb stud on the green one I call a negative. Looks like if it loosened up even a little it would be easily lost. Slipping the thumb stud through the hole already screwed together is negligible compared to losing it altogether.

Thanks buddy. I hope you are ok. I've been fighting covid for the past 2 weeks myself. I started feeling better about 5 days ago and then about as quick as that happened started feeling crappy again. 🙏

Thank you, and sorry to hear that. I had covid back in December and was quarantined for both Christmas and New Years so that was not the best holiday season lol Hope you get better quickly! 🙏 I have 2 different doctors appointments tomorrow so hopefully I can start getting some answers. All I know is something is not right with my insides/stomach idk exactly, not gonna get into details but hopefully someone can figure it out because it's getting pretty debilitating at times.

My middle daughter has IBS and so does my father in-law. Hopefully you find the right doctor that can help diagnose and treat whatever you have.
God bless you bud I'll be praying for you.🙏

Absolutely hate ultra smooth slick scales..if kizer offered a bit of grip and the rear flipper in addition to the top..I would buy at least 2... Bring it please KIZER.!!

The top flipper version is pretty sweet! Does the detent feel mushy/soft like all the Civivi’s?

The detent on these are actually much stronger than my Conspirator for example. More like the Altus. Something to note though is the micarta (front flipper) has a softer detent than the black richlite version. The black richlite actually snaps closed more like a non-button lock...it's nice; and the stronger detent on that helps as it's a normal flipper tab. Where the micarata is just a bit softer which I guess might help since it's a front flipper (more on the top) so if it was too strong you might just roll off it. Hard to explain in text 😂 Oh and another thing I noticed was the buttons sit out A LOT compared to the Civivi button locks. The black richlite popping out really far when the blade is deployed. I might make a short video just comparing these 2 Kizer button locks against my other 2 Civivi button locks because the detent feel, and the button itself is pretty different.

Just recorded it today lol There are a lot of things you just don't pick up on a "first impressions unboxing". Then later you play with the knife a little more and like "oh well damn, I should have mentioned this in my video" 😂 Maybe tomorrow I'll put it up if it's done on time.
