Obstacles in your life? Go to the ants!

  • While resting this afternoon, I filmed these ants. They reminded me of a proverb from the Bible.
"Go to the ants, you sluggard; consider its way and be wise!
They sure are busy those ants, following a common goal and relying on an instinct to help them work individually and together.
Currently, I feel very physically inactive, bit of a sluggard, you could say.
I am recuperating from radical prostate cancer surgery several days ago. I am catheterised and still in quite a bit of pain in my belly, so physically, there is little I can do compared to what is normal for me! Does that make me a sluggard?
But in a way, I feel like the ants I filmed on that bit of timber; following a common goal and relying on my faith in Jesus to help me work individually and together with other Christians.
So, what am I doing to help me overcome the obstacles of prostate cancer and surgery?
It's not complicated. I am just reading scriptures from the Bible and praying to be more like Him.
Are you a Christian? Read your Bible and pray.
Are you considering being a follower of Jesus? Or perhaps considering returning to a 'lost' faith in Jesus?
Either way, it might be good to pick up a Bible and start a conversation with God.
Soon, I hope to feel better and be more physically active again, running and exercising. and I am also hoping to continue spiritually 'going to the ants'.
I am hoping to be 'wise' like the ants.
