Hey yall! I don't have anything listed yet on depop but I'm hoping to get a bunch of stuff up in time for the part 2, so feel free to follow me there @beepwrld www.depop.com/beepwrld/ ! Thanks for watching as always
Just a heads up, the depop link in your pinned comment has the trailing ")" stuck in it so it leads to an error page atm. Description's link works fine tho :D
As a person with an "archive" I recommend limiting how many things are allowed in it (I have a very small closet corner reserved for them) and when it goes over the limit, you need to do remove something.
Would love to see a styling video where you start with the outerwear and work your way in! Or a video on how to style different jacket silhouettes :) love your content!
At some point, maybe in a years time, it would be so cool to have a styling my archive video (or something similar). It would be nice to see ideas on how we could wear the more "neglected" pieces in our wardrobes- and maybe it would spark new love and ideas for you❤
For the dress Kathleen gave you, you could try tracing the dress to make a sewing pattern, so you can have the same silhouette but with a different fabric. There’s youtube videos that show how to do it
I never comment on TH-cam videos, but wanted to let you know how much I love your channel. You are always on point with your styling and fashion choices, and I appreciate your sustainable approach. Your videos have given me a whole new outlook on fashion and my style! Not to mention, you have such an endearing personality and presence, which makes your videos so easy and entertaining to watch ❤
I say this respectfully and from my own experience: keeping things you dont wear because of uncomfortable fit or fabric often isn't worth it. Especially the fabric issue, because that will never change. I also keep an "archive" of clothes under my bed but I try to only keep the things I think I will actually wear in the future!
Those bangles from your boyfriend's mother are GORGEOUS, I remember feeling like I had really passed a significant love milestone back when my now mother-in-law gifted me some gold earrings from her hometown in Syria :'''''')
I have a little space in my closet where I keep clothes that I don't wear alot and every once in a while when I organize my wardrobe I look trough it. That way things I don't wear isn't in the way of my everyday wardrobe but then I can give them another chance and swap out clothes. Can recomend that if you have the space for that as well!
I do this too! It is pretty helpful to me to hang on to clothes that I'm not sure about or like but don't wear much since I can "rediscover" them every once in a while and think of new ways to wear them. Sometimes I need a while of not looking at a piece of clothing instead of just getting rid of it because when I dig stuff up again I tend to find that I really like some of the pieces.
Hi Liz! Have you considered maybe turning the striped teddy bear t-shirt into a short-sleeved one? I think it could look cute and it would solve the issue of the sleeves being too short :)
If the sleeves are the only thing you dislike about that tan trench style jacket, you could always add onto the sleeves to make them longer! 😊 They’re wide enough that it would be really easy to sew, and it would look good with many colors of fabric, so long as the fabric is either heavier than- or very similar to- the weight/body of the coat’s fabric. Something textured like a quilted or embroidered fabric would be really cool!
Now we need a video of you styling all of these "I love it but when I'm gonna to wear it" category AND really wearing it outside in a way that is comfortable for you, that would be really fun! :)
Girl, I have *legit* been collecting vintage nightgowns and cover ups since seeing you style them, and if you were thinking about getting rid of that long sleeve white lace robe... 👀👀👀 I would 100% try for it. (But also it's gorgeous, and it looks wonderful on you, and I don't want you to get rid of it! 😅)
Absolutely love that this video gets to have a part two ! Closet cleanouts itch something in my brain that I can't quite explain and yours did that oh so well And if you are serious about passing some archived clothes to us, I'm kinda eyeing the long sleeve nightgown (7:44) 👀
First time viewer, having only found your channel today. I appreciate 1.) how you show each item on-know that must've been time consuming and a lot of extra filming work, but it really helps us see how pieces look when worn, and 2.) how you explain your thoughts & feelings about each item (it's relatable). I struggle with pieces when they look good but feel weird, or vice versa...it's tough finding things that are a good balance between stylish & comfy.
I always get so inspired by your videos to look at my wardrobe in a different way! Also seeing this video I'd love to see how your store all your clothing :)
the fair isle, and other thinner, fitted sweaters are great seasonal transition pieces that would look sweet with the overalls and/or the shorter sleeved jacket :)
love wearing those robes/nightgowns as around-the-house toppers. Sometimes I just want to feel fancy when I'm around the house so I have a black floral one that I throw on over top of my sleep shorts and t-shirt. LOL makes me feel all glam
Oh my gosh. I have been looking everywhere for a mostly red but white striped shirt exactly like the one at 23:19 ever since, one day at work, one of our customers was wearing the cutest little red with white stripes tshirt. My jaw dropped when I saw it and I think that was the first time I have been inspired to look for something specific at the thrift store instead of just going and seeing what gems I might find. Also, some of your videos have touched on the topic and have been helpful for me in this quest to find the perfect shirt because you have been disappointed when you buy things that are close enough to what you are looking for but ultimatly end up not being all that you ever wanted. I also LOVE the teddy bear details on the arms sooOOOo much. What a cool piece. Love your videos and I connect with your values. I relate to your love of clothes and fashion while also feeling conflicted about the environmental impact of consumerism and fast fashion. ❤❤
17:14 Paint the necklace with a layer of clear nail polish to stop it from catching your hair... I had a dress with rhinestone straps that did that, and that's how I fixed it.
Also LOVE huge puff sleeves - kind of need to wear those during the best weather, or have some sort of poncho-like outerwear that doesn't have sleeve restrictions, I guess? It is tbh super bothersome though. I've considered DIY-ing some arm bands for practical situations when wearing big sleeves so that eating and getting messy is less of an issue too.
I was impressed by the amount of outer layers as someone who wears like one hoodie and one leather jacket with everything 😂 you are the layering master
i loveddd this and can’t wait for the part 2!! re: getting around to your diy pile-you should totally take us along for another diy/mending/dyeing clothes video!! i feel like it would be super fun to see the process-and it’s okay if every piece doesn’t turn out 100% the way you wanted it to! and that way it’s also an incentive for you to get the alterations done, win-win 😌 😌 ALSO i just thought you might wanna know… i finally got around to downloading the indyx app and have started the process of uploading all of my clothes!!! i’m having so much fun so far and i haven’t even done any outfit planning or collections or any of that. but it’s literally all thanks to you & your videos about digital wardrobes, so thank you so much!!! 🫶🫶🫶
"It's made out of a synthetic material that makes me kind of sweaty. Archive." Tbh, that does not sound like a case for the archive. This is something I would get rid of asap. Not tolerable for a summer dress.
The shirt with the teddybears would probably work better if you cropped the sleeves so it's above your elbows! Then, you'll still have the teddybears but it will probably fit better in the sleeves! :)

I have some important clothes Ive had for 40 years I still bring a few out sometimes Like my moms letter sweater from the 1940’s! I’ve altered tight sleeves by adding a strip of fabric along the sleeve. It can add contrast or be another fun detail but does need to be in a similar weight fabric to work! (Also, re: the sheer things not being worn - things can be gorgeous and still not be quite right for your preferences or lifestyle!)
The cute little peachy cream tie up short sleeve cardigan from Kathleen you could put in the DIY pile, add a lace or ruffle at the bottom, if you want in white or contrast color, and then its really easy to add a little extra fabric to looser the under armpit area, just an idea 💡
I’m sure there are other videos suggesting this, but why not turn the mend pile into its own separate video! I’d love to watch you repair things, maybe even while I repair some of my own
For the knitted sweater in the first pile that you archived - would you consider altering the sleeves by adding extra fabric or would that take away from the wanted look? I was thinking something like a triangle shape with fabric underneath and maybe som lace up detailing? Or button detailing on each side of the seam and then a panel of a fabric in a wanted accent colour/ colour that matches your sweater? 🤔 Anyway, loved the video as always!!
You should take nice photos of the nostalgic items that aren't one-of-a-kind or collectors items and then let them go. They can bring other people utility!
I love your content, these closet declutters are a little stressful for me though lmao, you don't get rid of nearly enough clothes imo, but I still enjoy watching you go through your whole wardrobe, you have such a unique style and it truly inspires me to try new things fashion-wise.
I was just thinking the same thing! Like all the stuff that hasn't been fixed in the repair pile from last time!!! Surely that means she's just not that drawn to it and should pass it on.
what’s wrong with keeping things? i would think it’s the goal to get your wardrobe to a place where you like almost everything in it and wear them frequently
@coolchameleon21 I think keeping things is great, but like you say I think everything should be kept and worn as much as possible. I think I just gently question the idea of keeping items in an archive rather than passing them onto someone who would wear them regularly. But it's very gentle concern, I'm sure she loves them enough to warrant keeping them and even suggests selling them at a later date.
@@Neen-a-walker Passing a thing on doesn't guarantee that the piece will be worn. The clothes Liz's archived are tricky to style in the best of circumstances. Also, you have to love the internet's tendency to take a great, wholesome idea ("you shouldn't hoard things you aren't using") into the anxiety inducing arms race of judgement and comparison ("you aren't doing enough/doing it correctly").
I think it's actually weird to declutter for a fashion youtuber because the things she doesn't wear in usual life frequently appear in styling vids lol, so it means these clothes are needed I hate when she does the recreations of pinterest outfits when she's away because I just know her full wardrobe has all the right stuff
Love your videos and style even though my style is completely different (Mine's more sporty and slightly edgy). I think the reason why; for fashion fans, its so hard to get rid of clothes even though you might not wear them: They are like a possible version of oneself, a version of myself f. e. where I become preppy. Or the version of myself where I become a hippy etc. etc. Even though we might never end up being these versions of ourselves, it's nice to believe we could.
I think I know why that shirt that dyed to a purple instead of a black. You need different dyes for natural or synthetic fibres. I’m guessing the dye was made for natural fibre ( they’re more common) snd that the shirt is mixed fibre and therefore only partially took the dye.
Okay my question for you is how the heck do you have so many white blouses without PIT STAINS?? I have had to let so many go throughout the years because I can’t get those damn stains out … (for me it’s white graphic tees more than blouses). I’ve had to like, stop buying them all together because the pain of staining them is too immense. Is it just because I live in a hot place? TIPS PLS!
I have been excited for this since you posted on your insta! and if you ever want to get rid of those archived nightgown style dresses I would take them off your hands 👀
Hi Liz! Love a good clearout. I feel like if the 🧸 teddy bear top doesn't pass next year's probation, you could repurpose the little bears for a different thrift flip, also possibly make the top into a t-shirt as well which you may wear more? 😊
I would love to see the pile of things that you are getting rid of, because it seemed like everything was a keep or archive =)) does it end up being a nice pile or just a few things?
I'm in the opposite mindset lately CANT ARCHIVE ANYTHING except seasonal rotate because I know me and I'll just be storing something im never wearing instead of seeing something I'm never wearing. I also have very sensitive skin too so if it's not the cotton fabric or best fabric i just have saved myself the headache and dont buy them anymore
Loved the video as always, I could listen to you talk for hours! I don’t know if you’re open to reselling the purple Kim and Tam long sleeve, but if you are I’d love to buy it!
If you are ever interested in passing along any Kina and Tam pieces, especially the white blouses, I would be so interested! I have been itching to buy from them for a super long time but I would love to get them second hand! Also the editing work this must have took makes me tired just thinking about it, it looks awesome
I loooove the poofy white shirt at 13:28! Gosh, it's a dream (but understandably also very inconvenient 😂) If you ever change your mind and want to rehome it... 😇
Maybe you should wear your nightgowns as actual nightgowns? You seem so attracted to them, but I think you always keep them in the closet (maybe for modesty? maybe because they're not practical? Dunno). It is so sad to keep those beautiful pieces as "archive"! Be the lux sleeper of your dreams and let the nightgowns fullfil their destiny!

What I do with two similar blouses ie the white ones is wear the older one and keep the newer one stored for when the old one wears out.
I think the white big collar shirt that's newer would be so much better and feel different if you dyed it!

Hi Liz! Love a good clearout. I feel like if the 🧸 teddy bear top doesn't pass next year's probation, you could repurpose the little bears for a different thrift flip, also possibly make the top into a t-shirt as well which you may wear more? 😊
Absolutely love the periwinkle clown sweater!!!!
What you’re wearing is such a good Kim Possible costume 😊
I am on the edge of my seat for the reveal
What size are your items typically? Are we expecting any L or XL items to drop on Depop?
im sorry to say most of these items are size S or M😭
I would love to see the pile of things that you are getting rid of, because it seemed like everything was a keep or archive =)) does it end up being a nice pile or just a few things?
haha I got rid of a bit more in part 2, you'll see the final amount at the end of that video!
I really only have 1 archive piece I wear about once a year. I have my vintage Chicago Cubs satin bomber jacket I've had it for 40 years.
Where did you get the adorable gingham dress/if thrifted, what's the brand?
7:30 "Hello, i'm Warren Jeffs' 87th wife"
Can’t wait for part 2!❤
That transparent white dress is a slip! Supposed to wear it underneath ur dress 😁
Put the mesh/see thru dress over the black gingham dress!!!!
Oh, did you show the archive and the decluttered piles? Did I miss it?
they're in the part 2 which came out right after this video!!!
@@beepwrld oh sorry! 😘
I love love love the black puff sleeve top you’re getting rid of 👀
If you are ever interested in passing along any Kina and Tam pieces, especially the white blouses, I would be so interested!
So excited to watch!!!
2:19 where’s this cardigan from? It’s so cute!
so excited for this!
