    I got the kit off you about 6 months ago and still haven't had the courage to don't yet!, note 20 curved screen is a bit nerve wracking.. and I don't have your new camera lense cover either, but thanks for continued videos!

      If you are in Canada or the USA, I can send you the camera hole lens cover free of charge as a courtesy. If you are outside of those areas, I will have to see how much it would be to send it via lettermail.
      Let me know your order number!

    Hey can you do a video fixing the glass on an galaxy s23? Want to attempt fixing mine but id love to see the exact phone before i try it

      We will soon! Our latest long form Samsung video does have a newer flat screen Samsung phone which the same process would apply for the S23, but we do plan on making a video for each model individually for more views :)

    Do any specific light bulbs cure the glue before you want?

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For UV lights, there are a few wavelengths but whether it be 365nm
      (ideal) /395nm/405nm, they are all on a spectrum and contain the 365nM
      wavelength the glue cures under.
      However, our findings have been that most light bulbs do emit some level of UV. One thing for sure: strong CFL bulbs like the ones used for photography emit UV to cure the glue at just 100W: There was a time when we were making a repair video (and where we work there is no daylight due to the risk of exposure to UV) the glue got hardened from the lights we were using. However, this was over a span of 3 hours+
      You can expose it to daylight as well. (5~15 minutes depending on the intensity of daylight)

    I saw on a reply to a comment that you have a cover for the front facing camera on samsung phones so that the back does not need to be removed. I just received my screen replacement kit last week but it did not have that cover. How can I order it or can you send it to plus shipping. Thanks

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      May I ask if this issue happened with a protector from us? If so it is not a problem at all for us to send you a courtesy replacement to try.
      Usually, issue with glue not sticking well is due to incomplete/improper cleaning. We found sometimes people clean the device in a circular motion with the case on. However, this ends up accumulating all the wiped dust/debris/grease/oil (not saying our customers' fingers are dirty but fingerprints are transfers of oil from our skin) along the edges, where the adhesive is. Also, if you clean the device with the case on, it will further add to that effect.
      The case must be off, and although you can start the cleaning process in a circular motion, it should be wiped clean in a linear motion. You should also check after, by inspecting the device, tilting it at various angles under strong light to see if there are any smudges/streaks left behind.

    If the glass breaks again, is the process the same? Will UV glue be more difficult to remove?

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The process is the same and UV glue will actually be easier to remove. I'm going to make a video soon on refurbishing a refurbished display using our kit, but you'll see that you don't really need heat, and the adhesive doesn't roll off like shown in the video, it kind of just smudges off if that makes any sense?
      It can be pretty disappointing learning that the phone manufacturers did not have to use such strong adhesive for the original assembly.

    What is the wire used for these repairs. I’m interested in buying your glue but I think I can get the wire locally. Please let me know thanks

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Typical wires used for these repairs are molybdenum wires ranging from 0.06mm to 0.08mm. There are variations in the wires, such as those using alloys of various mixtures like ours, but I do not recommend trying these unless you know exactly what to look out for, as they can vary greatly in quality.
      Not a problem for us to include a roll of ours for $3.99 if you are interested. Just curious, what phone are you working on?

    I have bought your kit for Samsung S21 Ultra, but can I apply the glue on the screen once the original glass has been removed, also to the part of the screen where the camera is? They indicate that you have to dismantle the entire rear screen to remove the camera but they do not then indicate step by step how to do it. If I remove that screen, there is a gap left. How do I cover it? In other videos that use other glues I have seen that they leave the front screen and apply the glue to it, because in theory, that does not damage the camera.
    Please, how should I do it because I have your kit and I don't know what to do? If it weren't for the front camera, I would have already done it but I have doubts. Thank you.

    buying a glass with oca glue already applied can skip the process of aplying the loca glue?

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello so sorry for the delay in my reply. For some reason I was not getting notified at all of the comments recently.
      Glass with OCA already applied does allow you to skip the LOCA process. However, please note that glass with OCA applied requires special equipment such as a laminator (heated vacuum press), as well as a bubble remover (heated positive pressure chamber) and are less forgiving to mistakes as mentioned in the video.

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure actually. I do not have experience with Honor 90, I do apologize but if you see a video of the glass only replacement being done with a wire, then our method should still work, it's just the initial separation technique that differs.

    What do i do when the LCD glass already have some OCA with it ? can i just put LOCA in it ?

    • @ecdiy
      @ecdiy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello so sorry for the delay in my reply. For some reason I was not getting notified at all of the comments recently.
      Technically, pre-installed OCA can be stacked with LOCA.
      Even if the OCA were to make contact with the glass somewhere before the LOCA, LOCA will fill up to the area seamlessly.
      This additional thickness does not cause touch issues even with a tempered glass screen protector. That's been my finding on my end with our glue at least. However, it means the screen may sit higher than it should, off of the bezel frame for iPhones which can cause dust intrusion over time.

    There is a possibility that the LOCa leaks and damages the flex on screens like the S23 Ultra.

      Curved screens are definitely more finicky than flat screens due to the multiple angles involved. This is emphasized in our listing for curved screen phones as well.
      iPhones in particular are the easiest of the flat screens with the display coming off without the bezel surrounding the sides of the display panel allowing for easy entry for the wire without rubbing on the bezel. Flat display also means all the glass sits parallel to the display with the adhesive in between which makes slicing through (the adhesive) a lot easier.
      Anyhow, did you happen to purchase a kit from us? If so, I'd be happy to send you the S8 glass at our cost which would be pretty much an unbeatable price for the quality of the glass we offer.
      Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further/contact us.
