I bought a M3 Max 14 inch macbook pro and gave it back since there is 0 difference in real life compared to my M1 13 inch macbook pro. I dont edit videos that extreme as amateur that I notice any difference. Everything is butter smooth for me. And I liked the lighter weight of the older design more in daily life. I hope Apple will make a redesign for a lighter Macbook

I've been saving up for a Macbook Pro M4 pro / max which is going to be my very first Apple product.
make sure you get 32GB memory. I regret not spending extra $200 for that option. 16GB memory has been okay, and I can't open as many apps as I'd like.

yeah i have the M1 max and it breezes through everything, it can play a few AAA games, alien isolation, Tomb raider, all look great, everything task wise is very snappy, the speakers are awesome and the screen is great but just as important, the battery lasts forever. I could pretty much have this laptop forever lol. But im sure spec jealousy will happen at some stage, but it aint right now thats for sure.
Ouch Matt! Nice CPU chart, but you mixed up the info in the very first column. 😩 The M2 Pro in fact, had a 12-core CPU, not a 19-core one.
Think he was meant to put 10-core CPU for M2 Pro, pretty sure it was an option of 10-core up to 12-core (or at least for the 14 inch base).

Hmm could be an option to bring back Touch ID but the button is a little low for it and would be in the power button instead that is higher up
Well, I've owned an iPhone 7 Plus for about 5 years now, which I bought from a friend who also bought it from someone else. I acquired the phone when the audio wasn't working and the primary camera wasn't functioning properly. I've been using a bluetooth earpiiece to receive and make phone calls. Other than that, the phone has been convenient and has outlasted any device I've ever owned. This just shows how legit apple products are. Adding an ipad M4 would make a huge difference to my apple experience.
The tech I would like to purchase this year is a M4 Mac Book Air with a 15” screen. Not sure we will see a M4 Mac Book Air this year, but we shall see.
The iPad Pro is one of the tools that I would like to join my graphic designer team to make my work flow better.🔥

Why is Apple still not using OLED displays in their Mac computers, I wonder? Even though Macs have incredibly amazing displays, adding OLED to them would push them over the edge.
OLED is more power hungry, meaning less battery life by a few hours
Sticking with my MacBook M2 Air 15inch until Apple upgrade to Oled MacBooks
Single core performance was already excellent on the M2 Air.
Only issue was the SSD below 512 GB. Just too slow for the read & write speeds due to 1 Nand chip. Bumping up to 512GB made the issue go away.
Very interested in the MacBook Air M4, maybe a M3 depending on price performance comparison.

I've been in the market for a new work laptop lately and was originally thinking about the M3 Max at 128GB memory. But, with the new M4 Max on the horizon, I'm holding off until I can see what it does. My hope is that it'll be not only fantastic for video recording/editing, but that it'll be able to smoothly run local AI models.
I'm planning to make the jump from PC to a MacBook Pro M4 Max for video editing. Cannot wait!!! The iPad would make a great sidecar monitor as well as an interface for still image editing.
Hope Mac Mini comes with 16GB/512GB standard. Dont care about laptops anymore.

In 2024 I'll be very interested in purchasing the base model of the MacBook Air with M4 chip. Hope Apple does indeed increase the RAM size from 8GB to 12GB (maybe 16GB) as Matt mentioned in the video.

In 2024, I’m planning to get an iPad because I’m an architecture student and carrying my gaming laptop around for design work is getting difficult. It’s heavy, and I get tired easily, so an iPad would make my workflow much easier
This year I’m getting an AppleWatch & my first Apple Silicon Mac.
What I'm really hoping for is the M series chip being compatible with eGPUs, because it is unlikely that M series chips have cores to perform like a GPU. I have to say that M series chips are a very efficient and powerful CPUs; enough to perform day to day job, some even lightweight pro tasks(i.e., photoshop, unity, multiprocess programming, ppts), Apple did a great move jumping out of the intel chips. However, when it comes to super heavy weight tasks like AI model training, as well as playing Wukong, I definitely need my cuda cores :(.
Doing loads more remote video/photo editing these days and the jump from M1 Max to M3 Max has massively boosted my efficiency, though I'm regularly tapping out the 48gb of ram I have on my MBP16. So I'll probably sell my M1 Max mac studio and the MBP an move to an M4 max MBP16 with overkill ram/storage and wait patiently for the ultra to drop next year for a workstation.
I don't own an iPad + I have a really really really old MacBook Pro (more than 10 years old), so am super excited to upgrade to the MacBook Pro M4 that's about to come out this year! On the other hand.....Maybe I can hold off on the MacBook Pro if I win this iPad though ^^; And of course I'd love to get an upgrade to the iPhone 16 as well! /AppleForever!
The new format is great. The iPad Pro must be the best all round handy tech device. My 2018 iPad Pro is still going strong. I do wish the OLED display was coming with the M4 MBP.

I’m waiting for Macbook Pro 16” M4 max chip with 128 Gb RAM and highest available 18 Core CPU N 42 Core GPU. I wanted to have 24 core CPU but I will HAVE TO adjust with 18 core CPU.

Also, looking forward to anything else like "Dynamic Caching" that was on the M3 Pro & M3 Air. That was an excellent feature that my wife loves on her M3 Air.
