man, those F7's are amazing. Running high speed down a lake or field is exactly what it was built for . That F1000 is the high speed autobahn cruiser. Nice one

Cheers Pete. If that diamond drive is like the rest of them there's a bolt in the center of the brake rotor that ya take out then the whole diamond drive housing will slide on out. If we have another winter like last year we may have to come north for some riding.

I was a Yamaha man since 1976 when I bought a new GP440 but I bought a 2008 F10000 LXR in 2012 had 465 miles on it. It likes fuel and ran ok untill I clutched it and fuel controller and a D&D y-pipe than it was a different machine, it was the best riding sled I ever rode.

I worked for a Cat Dealership in 2006-2009 and a unique thing with the 1000 is they were designed to run on 87 fuel. Had a guy buy one and running premium fuel wasn't performing properly called the service rep and was told not to run premium in it. customer tried it with regular and sure enough she ran better.

@@robertanthony9674 no iv been working on sleds since i was 12 years old im now 44. Raced SX and pro XC for 15 years with many wins and championships. A clutching master cat had a lot of trouble with the 1100 turbos in the beginning blowing belts. I can only assume this is probably one of the reasons anyway couldn’t get clutches aligned. U wouldn’t believe what iv seen from dealers most have bo idea what there doing lol!!
I also repair sleds bikes atv’s and cars on the side. Iv seen things that make me think how some of these shops say in business its disgusting sometimes.
Actually how I learned to become a mechanic is having shops work on my toys they never came back fixed or right. Told myself i can mess crap up for free dont have to pay people to do it lol!! My father had a 2009 1100 turbo with 5000 miles on it didn’t have the secondary problem but mine did. Iv also known many other guys with belts blowing on there 1100’s wish i new what I learned on mine maybe i could of helped them because there dealers didn’t. But what u said is definitely true in many cases just not on mine. Iv had to help a few 1100 owners now since I discovered the offset problem. I guess u never know could of been off other models but so many having the same problem my guess probably not.

Well guy number 1 you didn't have the belt set properly, did you check the springs in the power valves? They break than your power valves don't open and choose properly. My 07 F1000 stock as you guys say " roasted " my buddies 2012 xf 1100 turbo. Now I've put speed werx pipe and y-pipe with dynojet programmer with opened air intake on both sides by the windshield. My buddy put a 210hp tune in his 1100 turbo and I still clean em up. So your lucky I wasn't there cause I would of roasted, cleaned up , anilalated your f7 !

I'd say a good run would be yours against JP's winder...if ya can roast 1100 turbos that easy...same rules though....loser buys the beers 🍻🤣 we might end up even at the end of the day...or just drunk! 🤣

I've heard a bunch of horror stories about the 1000 twin, and i'm a life long cat guy, they like to shake themselves apart, and for the cubes, it don't make much more ponies than a 700 or 800. idk where the styling folks heads were at when they built those year F sleds but they sure weren't on their shoulders, i always thought they looked like the big desert worms from the movie Tremors with Kevin Bacon lol Bring the sleds down to Nodak, we'll be riding for a month yet they way it looks. cheers fellas!

Actually the 1000 is a very reliable engine 165 hp stock. F8 was around 150 hp before the HO 800 came out in 2010. That did have dyno numbers that was around same as 1000 but torque was down a bit compared to the 1000.
U put reeds good single with Y pipe heads or head work ur up around 200 hp. Port work could get 1000 up to around 220hp. The 1000 in the right hands someone that knows what there doing has lot of potential compared to a lot of sleds.
The 1000 in the Cross Fire chassis can be a real weapon.

Hopefully you looked at the diamond drive on that 1,000cc too 😂 nice one. It would be a close race in better conditions so it's a tough call 🤣

Races looked pretty close, it would be more fair if the F1000 was 100% though.

That’s the wrong gauge for an 08. The top pod might be from a 07 and someone put it on there. If you take out the block I think on the left side then it can pull air from both side of the top pod.

Cat: "can we build our sled to look like a fusion?"
Polaris: "sure! As long as our iq sleds look like your firecats but only kinda."
    Cat: "deal!"

Snow Runner needs a bigger gear. You could definitely get more speed out of it
