    its so nice to see her talking about her boat trip or something normal before they jumped into the more serious questions. I'm so used to seeing her talking about the worst parts of her life, so to see her laughing, swearing and enjoying herself was so refreshing. she seems like the nicest person and someone you could easily befriend. I'm so happy she is doing better and is living her life on her terms now.

    I read her mom’s book, and it is a great read. I watched The Vow and Seduced. She is a survivor, and amazing like her mom ad grandma

    4 hour watches are pretty standard when bluewater sailing. And Nicki Clyne is still running around talking about how Keith got a bad deal. It's unreal. It really is.

      She won't stop! She's still doing it a year later. I was late to get on TH-cam about it all.

      Yup, still at it.
      I can see it in Nicki’s eyes. She looks just a bit, dazed and hypnotized.
      The small group that still are for Rainiere, are sadly, still not able to acknowledge the reality of the monster they serve.

    I feel like Mike and India would be a great couple (though I know she's engaged, but she and Mike would be super cute together)

    Cults do this: 1. Make you feel like you're better than other people, 2. Make you carve your body.3. promise you wealth if you give $, 4. Make slaves. 5. Denigrate women. Heads up.

    But if she (India) was able to be so completely brainwashed, why can't the same be said of Allison Mack? Why isn't she also a victim of the cult?

    • @lilmissvicxx
      @lilmissvicxx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ultimately everyone involved was a victim of Raniere's malignant narcissism, even Allison Mack. HOWEVER, Mack was privy to a lot of information that India and other people "lower on the totem pole" weren't... If you listen to some of the audio clips/videos of conversations between Allison Mack and Raniere (and Lauren Salzman too) - especially concerning DOS - it's obvious that Allison Mack knew EXACTLY the kind of person Raniere was and chose to participate anyway. India and many of the other survivors were completely ignorant to the evil that was going on behind the scenes, such as Keith being the one behind DOS. Mack knew all along.

      @@lilmissvicxx Everything you say makes sense, but even India says that if she stayed in the cult longer, she too, would have become just like Mack. To me, Allison Mack is even more of a victim because she was in this so much longer. It should come down to the question of, "who was benefiting from all of this manipulation?" certainly not Mack, as she was a slave to Raniere too. And she was also "branded" - which no normal thinking person would do. I'm not usually a bleeding-heart but I think Mack should get little or no prison time for this. Maybe long-term probation.

    • @lilmissvicxx
      @lilmissvicxx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@blue3381 It's definitely true that most things were ultimately for Raniere's benefit. But Mack helped design the brand intentionally with his initials AND her own, and then she and Lauren Salzman told the other girls it was a symbol representing the elements. She knew the real intentions behind DOS (and that Raniere was behind it all) and told the other girls that it was a women's empowerment group that had nothing to do with Raniere. The fact that she was in on everything is the key difference here, and it's true, if India hadn't woken up when she did, maybe she would have ended up in the exact same boat. She's lucky she didn't. But the fact that they were both manipulated doesn't excuse Mack because she knowingly participated in these criminal activities, so yes, some of the responsibility does fall on her. If India had climbed the ladder higher and been in on everything the way Mack was, then the onus of responsibility would have fallen on her as well... But luckily that's not what happened.

      @@lilmissvicxx Yeah - I suppose you're right. I guess the same could be said of Charles Manson's followers. Even though they were under Manson's "spell" they still had to pay for the crimes they did. I heard an interview with India's mother where she said they were even concerned that India herself could also be charged, as she too helped recruit other women to the cult.

    • @lilmissvicxx
      @lilmissvicxx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blue3381 I saw that one too! It's a valid concern... I think it would have been a lot worse if the women India recruited had participated in the branding, but luckily things were blown apart before that could happen. I believe India mentioned in Seduced that she "woke up" as soon as she realized that the information she had been fed regarding DOS and the true intentions behind the branding wasn't true, which I personally think is what saved her. I like the Manson family analogy, it's a good comparison when it comes to accountability!

    What if she deliberately joined a cult so she’d have a film project at the end of it

    This is so pathetic. Was does anyone believe this women should not be held accountable just because mommy has organised a "get out of jail free" card. Don't be conned ! Ask the poor women that were actual victims in this case what she was really like.

      I guess it comes down to how many recruits did Indira pull in and what did she make them do. Any references?
